Major spoilers ahead...It's just my rant about what went missing or what I didn't understand..They just went full-blown Shyamalan at the end.. Let's recap..It is said that the main lead can control time.. he killed his older self who was the reason why the plot of his path to joining the dark-side exists :p.. Then the alice time-travel facility vanishes (time travellers are erased from this dimension..).. and then everything is RESET.. then the male lead vanishes and we have a happy ending.. oohh.. damn.. anyway.. Things I don't understand or am unsure of: 1. In the beginning of the show they say that the time travel is essentially a travel between multiple dimensions.. so, no matter what happens, the ending shown in this drama is just a story happening in one of those dimensions where the main lead's mother escapes death due to the interference of her son from another dimension.. is that right?2. Due to the reset, the timeline in which the main leads actually exist is erased.. So, shouldn't the male lead vanish as well.. why could he still remain in place to see his mother and his younger self celebrating and going out to buy some beer.. why does the younger self suddenly change his mind and decide to accompany his mother outside.. (maybe because the main lead is still there to whisper to his younger self to accompany his mother.. idk)3. Is time travel still possible? If not, it would be difficult to explain how his mother and himself can exist at all in this timeline... it's a paradoxical situation.. - how does his mother come to this particular dimension and give birth to the main lead? - how does his grandmother come back in time to give birth to his mother after seeing the book of prophecy?4. If time travel is possible, can the male lead still control time or he doesn't know how to do it?5. why does the female lead retain her memories of that other timeline6. why does the main lead not recognize the female lead when he meets her again.. just treating her like a stranger.. the woman literally looks his mother/doppelganger 7. In the end, how does he get his memories back, deja vu.. maybe, idk.. Sub-plots left out:1. the female lead's birth story - her mother coming back in time to give birth to her which starts the entire plot?2. who wrote the book of prophecy and does it still exist?3. what happens with people from other dimensions or where the male lead's mother was from which essentially should have the technology for time-travel?Ending doubts:1. So, is he gonna date the woman who's his mother's look-alike.. damn.. - the childhood school mate is now out of the scenario.. hmm..2. Oh wait, does his mother pass away in this timeline by the time he meets the female lead3. By the way, does the male lead's father still exist.. maybe in the dimension where his mother came from.. - It would have been cool if they showed the head-quarters that they always talked about.. or that other dimension where his mother was from.. Hmmm... So many questions...So, yeah.. M Night Shyamalan, it is..I love happy endings though, it just would have been cooler if they didn't leave such things out for my own interpretation.. I like dramas where endings are open to audience for imagination.. but I believe explaining some things wouldn't dampen the curious minds..All in all, It's not like I didn't like the drama, it just didn't make much sense towards the end..Side note: The male lead, Joo Won has been one of my favourite actors (in fact, his drama, Good Doctor, was one of my first k-dramas.. the nostalgia is hitting hard..) ..and I'm out..Peace
Extremely bad full of plotholes. One big plot hole. >< they forgot their theory of time. making people disappear but not making the protagonists disappear... not explaining anything, and the big mystery was also extremely unexplainable. you know when something is written in a book of prophecy, it has to somehow happen, but not happen like you decide to do it because it's written because you feel pain, but you never tell why you feel pain? idk if i described it correctly. I think i will write more in a full review where there is a slight spoiler tag.
