Beautiful cast, good chemistry and a shirtless Om, Oh My...

Thanks to JL Subbing Team for making this available!

Things I liked:
1. Loved the playfulness of the main couple characters and Om (Aroom) and Aum (Witsanee/Visanee) did a great job expressing their emotions throughout the lakorn.
2. Beautiful cast.
3. Loved the second lead couple of Chart and Noot and progression of their relationship.
4. Loved the chemistry between both couples.
5. Loved how Aroom mostly looks at Witsanee (Visanee) throughout the lakorn.
6. The female lead was basically a nice person even though she was sarcastic in replies to certain people due to her upbringing.
7. The male lead was a good person.
8. Kiss and slap, lol! (reverse of slap and kiss).
9. Beautiful costuming.

Things I expect from most Thai Lakorns to check the box:
1. lots of hospital visits by main couple and others
2. male lead who allows supposed girl “friend” to make problems
3. male lead who doesn't realize how girl “friend” feels about him
4. evil mother-of-someone who plots because of greed
5. evil people escape time and again to cause more problems
6. karma

Things I didn't like:
1. How Aroom wobbled between Non and Witsanee. But, that's the foundation of what happens later in the lakorn after the accident.
2. How Aroom continued to allow Su to come between him and Witsanee.
3. It became a bit draggy in last three episodes.

Spoilers below:

I find it somewhat hard to believe Aroom could overcome his guilt for loving Witsanee after she accidentally kills Non. By the way, the brakes were not cut. And, of course, this becomes a large part of how their relationship goes back and forth in later episodes. It's only remotely possible because he was already in love with Witsanee even though he still loved Non and had wanted to marry her. He was willing to deny his love for Witsanee to honor his older feelings and commitment to Non. And, I also think he was afraid to let go of Non and go to Witsanee because of his honor and beliefs. I was also curious on how Noot could forgive Witsanee. I think the monk telling Noot to let go of her anger and Witsanee to let go of her guilt are good life lessons. However, I'm not sure how well I could do either if I were in in their place.
I would have liked to have seen a longer happy ending with a really good kiss, but, oh well.
It's a Thai lakorn and even when they drive me to drink, I still love them.

Story: 8 nothing too unexpected if you've watched a lot of lakorns.
Acting/Cast: 9 for acting and 10 for beautiful cast!
Music: 6 – mostly seemed ok
Re-watch value: 5 for certain parts

TL;DR - A really good slap kiss lakorn with an amazing OTP, 2nd OTP, and interesting storyline. Beware of constant misunderstandings and a certain batshit crazy female character.

Wow, it's been awhile since I binged watched a lakorn and overall I had a great experience watching this. The leads are unique and very likeable, and their love story was well developed and engaging. It was very easy for me to click the next episode immediately after to see what would happen next.

I really really liked our leads, Witsanee (Nee) and Arrum, two people with opposing personalities that complemented each other very well. Nee is such a queen; she is bold and playful, and wasted no chance at teasing Arrum whenever she could. Arrum is stoic and kind of quiet in the beginning, but his defenses pretty much melt against Nee's charms and he falls hard for her (as a side note - the way he says her name and looks at her gets me in the feels lol). Their relationship was quite the rollercoaster ride, from flirty co-workers to enemies-ish to lovers. It made for a fun watch and I really appreciated the time taken to develop their relationship after the accident (btw it really was an accident - the breaks weren't found to be broken and there wasn't a plan to kill Non). Both take their anger out on each other equally and in a believable manner. The path to forgiveness wasn't easy but well fought for on both fronts. I was also pleasantly surprised by the amount of real kisses we were given! I do wonder how their relationship would've panned out if Non was still alive; we clearly see that Arrum is very attracted, and even starts to love Nee although he's with Non (I would consider that cheating, even tho him and Nee were never physical at that point). He was more or less with Non because they'd been together for 7 years, which is a common reason why couples who've fallen out of love stick together. As bad as it sounds, I'm glad Non ended the way she did (it's a toss up of whether I think she deserved it or not) otherwise our leads wouldn't have gotten together.

I really liked the supporting cast, especially Chart. He's the kind of guy who always has your back and one you want to go to for advice. His fake charade with Nee at her meeting the in-laws date was hilarious. Him and Noot make a great duo together and their interactions were very cute (I really loved their tin can telephone scenes!). I also liked Nee's dad, and it was great watching him and Nee resolve their relationship through the show. Nee's stepmom was a surprise like; I thought she would be an evil stepmom but actually she was super classy and cared more for Nee than Nee's own mom.

A couple things holding me back from rating this higher is first the misunderstandings, and jeez there were too many of them. Some were warranted, some were not. But what annoyed me the most were the misunderstandings perpetrated by Su (a complete psycho) and Jan. The way Su did it was believable although I felt like she did it so often that Arrum should've noticed. Jan obviously had bad intentions to Nee, yet Arrum would still believe her again and again, and hurt Nee unnecessarily. It got a little repetitive and I had to FF to pass. I also had to FF through the Yothin bs a lot, especially through his evil mother, whose greed knew no bounds. I also disliked how everyone kept tolerating Su after all the bs and psycho shit she did, and while karma did catch up to her, I felt she was let loose for way too long.

I did feel the first 7 episodes were a little draggy (I was literally waiting for Non to die lol) but it set the dynamics nicely and established the relationship between our leads well. I also really liked the music, and wish there was an OST list I could look up so I can find the songs. Overall, this was a great story of love, loss and redemption and the love story is something that will stay close to my heart. I'd totally recommend you watch and I'll certainly re-watch for the OTP moments.

never ending drama

The lakorn starts with Visanee returning from London, directly causing mayhem at her father’s wedding. She grew up with her dad as her parents were divorced.

Surprisingly, her stepmother is not the typical stepmother; she has a very calm, loving, and caring personality.

Visanee starts working as Aarom’s secretary. She bullies him, makes errors and mistakes on purpose, and appears lazy, but Aarom falls in love with her (this is obvious to the audience, though he is not aware of it yet).

He has a fiancée who is insecure and jealous of Visanee.

On the other hand, Visanee’s father wants her to be engaged to someone wealthy. This includes the son of a rich Chinese family.

Aarom’s fiancée is always jealous of him and constantly appears at the wrong time and place.

This leads to her having a one-night stand with Yotin (the guy who wants to get engaged to her for her money)

Aarom doesn’t physically cheat on his fiancée, but he’s always around to help and support Visanee (if you believe emotional cheating is cheating, then it’s cheating; however, I subscribe to the “look but don’t touch” motto. My husband works with top models and Hollywood stars (when they come to London) and he comes home and tells me about them, but it’s purely professional).

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you see it (glass half full or half empty), Aarom doesn’t learn about this until the very end. When he does, he doesn’t believe it and makes accusations.

His fiancée dies in episode 9 and exits the story. Don’t think that just because one crazy character is gone, things will get better. You wish! But it’s not going to change what’s coming.

it was obvious that Aaron no longer loves his fiancé, instead of breaking up & starting a new with Visanee.

Visanee accidentally hits and kills Aarom’s fiancée. Even though he was not on good terms with her at that point, he decides to take revenge.
what irked me was Aaron suddenly acted like he was deeply in love with his fiancé after the accident.
The crazy characters are never-ending. The fiancée’s best friend, Witasanee, is also in love with Aarom
Mental trauma Visanee gone through was not acceptable.
As if Aarom is the only man left on this planet earth, all the unhinged females wants him for themselves. In the end, Aarom discovers the truth about his fiancée and confronts Witasanee, who admits that Non had cheated on him. She even recorded the video and took photos.

After this, you’d expect him to apologize to Visanee, but he doesn’t.

There’s a non-consensual scene, and they also make love, but he is horrible to her. I hate lakorn ladies with Stockholm Syndrome.

In the end, Visanee’s dad accepts Aarom as his son-in-law, Vitasanee loses the movement of her legs, Aarom understands he really loves Visanee, Char and Nute realize they’re in love, and Yotin and his mother go to prison.

You can still watch it for Om and Aum.

Fan girl mode on: Aum’s eyes and the way he stares at the female lead make my heart beat faster. (Fan girl mode off)

Aum is surely one of the most beautiful Thai actresses. By the way, she’s older than Om and older than Benz (who plays her stepmother).

There was decent chemistry between Aum and Om.

Still better than most of the slap kiss lakorns

If you get bored, just fast forward.

Amar duas vezes

Vale a pena ver!

Aum Patcharapa is older than Om Akkaphan. She's also older than Noon Boonyasak who portrays her stepmother, to her character's loud displease. Then, what should the audience say? lol.

We have nang'ek in her mid-thirties, who acts out like a brat (ugh). We have pra'ek who already has a girlfriend (ugh, again). It's 2012 lakorn but it got subtitled relavitely recently. From the first look, it seems like something I wouldn't mind forgotten. It feels like I watched it 100 times already anyways... Mostly with better actors. Yeah, if I didn't mention it, Pooklook Fonthip is in this also, lol.

If she's the one who'll have the 2nd couple line here, then there's nothing to watch... (NOT interested in all the hysterical secondary females, gambling alcoholic mother, etc etc.) I am tired after 1 episode.
