Both have similar vibe cause the fl has a side guy and the main man is some office worker. Just that in KWP she ends up with the young guy but in Kareshi wa loan it gets a meeseed up ending. But i enjoyed watching both.

When her boyfriend was caught cheating on her, Terada Aki moved out of her apartment and into a sharehouse, where she found herself reunited with her first love, Hongyo Tomoya. Hongyo is novelist, but he has recently been having trouble with his writing, and he asked Terada for help - with a shocking proposal. To complicate matters, the other residents in the sharehouse also start interfering in Terada's life.

Both plots are about an older woman and younger guy who is kinda obedient to her thus called her "pet"...

A short "Kareshi wo Loan de Kaimashita" spinoff in which Tae's coworker Yume is the lead.
Yume works as a receptionist in a trading company Capital Holdings Tokyo. Similarly to Tae, she would like to bag a rich elite. One day she meets a handsome man who works for the same company.

Remind me of Yokohama Ryusei drama....& still 1 of my favorite drama....If you like this genre this is a must watch romance comedy drama.
