In Defense of Together With Me
Normally, I don't like to write reviews until I've completed whatever I'm reviewing, but I feel like all of the negativity being thrown towards TWM: The Next Chapter is incredibly frustrating, unfair, and undeserved. I'm so sad to see it get such a low rating because it pursues a story line we don't typically see in BL dramas, and people apparently can't handle that. No, it isn't lighthearted and easygoing like other series out there; but it's raw and authentic and definitely deserves a higher score than what it's been given on here. I feel like the low score is because people went into this expecting one thing but got something different, and their disappointment has resulted in them closing their minds to what we're given. So now because of that this series is rated lower than dramas with worse script writing, worse acting, and worse production. The actors here are fantastic as always, and the writing is not terrible like some are making it out to be; clearly something's working because it's doing what a good story is supposed to do: it's making people react, it's evoking emotions. So, the primary reason why people are canceling this show is because of the so-called abudance of cheating. Without getting too bogged down, I'll just say that I respectfully disagree with these assessments. People are acting like this season contains nothing but an endless stream of people having affairs, living hedonistic lifestyles with no regrets. But, except for Farm and Bright's story (which is essentially Farm giving Bright a taste of his own medicine), this isn't true. Both Yihwa and Korn (the two "cheaters") are placed in situations that test their feelings and relationships. Korn's is induced by mounting pressure from his conservative, overbearing father to denounce his homosexuality and the strain this puts on his relationship with Knock (which causes them to fight about other little things as well), while Yihwa finds herself being seduced by her senior and boss. They're conflicted and act out of moments of weakness. Korn has ONE sexual encounter with his boss during a night of drinking and commiserating. Yihwa, beginning to feel conflicted and confused about her feelings towards Cho in light of the flirtatious attention from her boss, decides to take a break from both and figure herself out. And that's it! Afterwards, both are torn and devastated and yes, they do suffer tremendously for their conflicted feelings and mistaken actions. Forgiveness from their partners is far from automatic, and it is not coming easily.
Individuals in Yihwa's and Korn's position are not automatically bad people because of what they did or how they feel. Nor do their actions/feelings mean that they don't love their partner. Yes, it's unpleasant watching couples we love go through such hardships, but as a viewer and fan of the show, I have to believe that this will only make them stronger in the end.
That aside, I'm loving Farm and Bright's story so far, but I do wish that their story got a bit more attention, as they are my favorite couple in this universe. I found it odd that Farm's character did a complete 180 in terms of appearance and personality (it's like he was fused with Phu) but I warmed up to it really quickly. And I like that although he has Bright wrapped around his little fingers, he still shows a softer, affectionate side towards the doctor as well. Feelings are still there, and despite what Bright did to Farm in TWM, I'm rooting really hard for them to end up together. Rit, Farm's little boy toy that he's using to make Bright jealous, is cute, but he's rather dull and boring. Not a lot going on. Farm has much better chemistry with Bright, which just radiates off the screen.
Bottom line: People aren't black and white. They are complex, driven by a range of passions and emotions. You can't fit them neatly into precise little boxes. Life isn't always rainbows and sunshine, and the events that happen in this season happen in real life. Of course they don't happen in *every* relationship, but they do happen. The writers chose to explore these themes in this season, and all of the actors are doing an amazing job portraying their roles. Please don't let all of the negative comments, complaining, and undeserved low rating discourage you from watching this season. Go in with an open mind and understanding that humans are complex, especially when it comes to feelings of love and attraction, and this series explores that beautifully.

So I just completed the series and went to put my "grade" on it when I saw that that rating was so low compared to the last season and, to be honest, I'm a bit disappointed in fans for rating it at 1 without even completing the series (if you haven't completed it better just not rate it at all). So I can see that the main issue for the fans with these series is that it's not lovey-dovey like mostly all the other BL series are. But, in my opinion, it actually makes it even better cause it shows real-life problems so that we, as fans, don't live in a fantasy of love being only about lovey-dovey stuff but also that it needs some problems to make it real. Obviously, it ain't nice to see your favourite couple fight and cheat but in the end, it shows that if love is real, then it can overcome those problems and make the bond even stronger. STORY: The story itself, as I already said, shows a lot of real-life problems that people might go through, i.e. cheating, parents who can't accept, confusing in feelings, sleeping around, being pressured by your boss, etc. Those are all things that series usually try to avoid to keep their audience and play it safe. This is what I really love about the particular series that they are willing to take the risk and portray these problems as well.
KornKnock part: Their part was pretty interesting and heart-touching especially the part with parents. These series showed that not always parents will be willing to accept their kids for what they are and not just because they hate or can't stand their orientation but also just because they feel like they have been lied to and that all of a sudden they have a different kid. Of course, it wasn't nice to see Korn suffer just because his father couldn't come to the terms of the news but it happens so many times and this is a good example that even those people can change for better, even if it takes such measures as almost losing your kid just to understand it. Also the part about Korn not being able to come out to his father. It maybe seemed that he just cared about the fact that he doesn't want him to know cause he was scared but if you look closer, then there's also the feeling of not wanting to hurt him. As he said, If I ain't wrong, he doesn't want to choose between love for Knock and his family so he does everything to make both work. For Knock, I can understand his point of view. He doesn't understand Korn cause he himself risked so much to just love Korn cause, in case someone has forgotten, he is straight and Korn is his exception, so it wasn't so easy for him either. He even came out to his parents to show Korn that it isn't so hard and everything will be good but he refused to understand Korn's point-of-view. His own parents were so nice and accepting so he couldn't imagine why Korn can't do the same. This also is a good example for real-life situations. Then there are problems with Pete. Trying to play off as a nice guy to get in Korn's pants which wasn't pleasant to watch but this happens all the time. He manipulated so many people just to get what he wanted and in the end, he dug his own grave. He is a good example of a jerk who only cares about his well being and is willing to sabotage everyone that steps into his way and tries to break his plans. Of course, it all ended good and they deserved that ending. The fact that Knock gave Korn a second chance and couldn't even take revenge, even though he wanted to, showed that he really does love Korn. You always should give a second chance cause mistakes do happen. If the mistake keeps happening more that one time, then it's a clear sign that it's just not meant to be. Obviously, what Korn did was pretty bad especially if we look in what situation he and Knock already were in. Then again, this all made then rethink a lot of things and come to the right conclusions.
Yihwa/Cho part: can't say that their part of the story was my favourite but I already fell in love with this couple after Bad Romance <3 It was nice to see how they portrayed the problem of being in a relationship for a long time but suddenly being confused in feelings. It's only natural and it happens all the time too. Yihwa confused the feeling of a really good friend with love for Art and thus almost fucked up and, even if she didn't even do anything as bad as Korn did, she still felt really bad and took time to sort out her own feelings so that she could be sure in the future and make the right choice. The fact that Art was trying to push her all the time to make that decision just made it worse for his own good, on the other hand where Cho was waiting and was being careful with the steps he took and only when he was sure he took action. We can easily see that he loves Yihwa so much that all he wants for her is to be happy, with him or not. Also, I like how they ended the series with not a clear ending for those two, showing that it's not so easy and fast to sort out your feelings.
Farm/Bright/Rit part: these 3 were pretty complicated XD Farm' s character took such a turn from the last season and made him look more badass and had put him in a more dominant status. From what Bright had done to him, he became the same and let Bright taste his own medicine. But then again I felt really bad for Nong Rit. He didn't know what he got himself into and fell in love with Farm. He tried so hard but he eventually realised that Farm has been using his just to get some revenge on Bright. But in the end, he made a right choice of taking everything is his own hands and just breaking up with him and after that refusing to stay friends cause that would make everything harder for him cause he loved Farm very much. The fact that he teamed up with Bright to show Farm how bad he has become was pretty savage but a pretty good plot twist. Bright in the end got what he wanted and realised how bad he used to be to Farm as well but then again he realised that Farm really touched his part and, even if it may have been pretty hard to see, he was jealous of the fact that Farm was sleeping around with other guys and at the same time being with him. The ending for all of them was good. They started from the very start and even at the very end it was shown that Rit is also starting over.
ACTING/CAST: As always, all of them were really good. Especially the chemistry between Tul and Max. They are the rare ones who can make it seem so damn real. Even for CGame and Porsche or Meangmum and Tomo, it wasn't as good as them even though they were amazing in their roles. Those to just have the best chemistry I have seen <3 Even without kisses they still show so many feelings for each other. For example, the scene where they finally made up, I just loved that they didn't do the really passionate kiss but a hug instead. For that moment it was so much more appropriate rather than a kiss and the hug had so many feelings in itself.
MUSIC: I don't have much to say about the music and I really loved the fact that they used the soundtracks from the previous seasons too, especially from Bad Romance <3 It made it easier to take the feel of that moment. I can't say that I loved all the songs but they did suite the moment when it was playing.
REWATCH VALUE: I would 100% rewatch these series just for the sake of having fun or when I feel bad to make my day better and care more about their problems rather than mine.
OVERALL: I really enjoyed these series and I and really sad that so many people dropped hem in the middle just because they didn't get the classic lovey-dovey BL series they were expecting for. But then again, this is so much more interesting than just another cheesy series where everything is rainbows and sweetness. It's not like that in real life and it nice to take something with you from the series as a life lesson :) The only thing that did bother me through the whole series is that they didn't include most of the cats from season 1, thus Bad Romance, even though this part takes place after it and Together With Me is a prequel to Bad Romance so it was really unlogical why they had casts from TWM that didn't appear in BR as if they suddenly disappeared from they lives in BD but but didn't have any casts from BR in TMW:TNC even though it would be more logical that they would at least appear here and there at some moments. It just seemed that they were such good friends and all of a sudden they were not in their lives anymore. As well and continuing Farm and Bright' s story as if nothing happened between them in the time of BR. They did fuck up with the timeline here and this just bothered me a lot cause at first I was expecting to see all of the casts, and perhaps not see so much from TWM cause they didn't appear in BR but guess I that's not as important cause perhaps t the same in the books.

This series has been a 6 month journey for me since I first saw Together with me and Bad Romance. I fell in love with the characters and had a few months to wait for The Next Chapter. While it didn't meet all my expectations it wasn't all bad.Pros: The acting in this season was spectacular. Watching from BR to TWM to TWMTNC you get to see how the actors improve which is always nice to see. Max was the standout for me because he played broken like no one else.
You get the OSTs from all the shows and its fun to hear the different emotions and memories each song produces.
There's a resolution to everything.....good or bad is up to you.
Cons: The cheating was a gross gimmick but it made the angst and drama to keep the show going and it did produce some thought provoking actions.
Personally I never liked Farm and Bright so their ending was what upset me the most.
Conclusion: I hope we get another season or a special. These characters are once in a lifetime special and it would be a crime not to see them one more time where everything isn't clouded over by such sadness. Wedding special anyone?

No Train Wreck, But a 12-Car Pile Up
The storyline for Together with Me The Next Chapter was very weak. The only things that saved this series was the acting skills of the actors and the obnoxiousness of the story. It was sooooooo bad, you didn't have any other choice but to wait and watch the next episode. However, once you've watched that episode, you were just disgusted about how things turned out, even though, you probably had guessed what was going to happen. The writers and director of this series had great opportunities to teach some good lessons about love, trust, hurt, forgiveness...but totally missed it. Instead, they chose to follow the same patterns and tropes as other BL dramas. At times, the storyline was so predictable, it seemed as if the writers were trying to test your intelligence. Many posts (including my own) labeled the series a "train wreck". After watching 11 episodes, I'm now not so sure that "train wreck" is the proper label??? It's more like a "twelve car pile-up" on an icy snow-covered highway....Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

What disappoints me the most is how many people think this deserved a 10 star rating. As far as the story goes it is a complete disaster. It starts out cute but quickly descends into complete madness. Arguments, misunderstandings, lack of communication, cheating, you name it. This lasts all the way up until episode 12 when it finally gets resolved. As soon as the misunderstandings start I recommend you just skip to episode 12 and go from there, you won't be disappointed in the BL make-up scenes (the only redeeming factor of this entire season).
I feel like the only reason people rated this so highly was because the BL scenes are amazing when they do happen, because the story and delivery was garbage.
The acting done by the two male leads is phenomenal as they were in the first season, however I found myself disgusted with characters likes Farm, Bright, and Pete. I couldn't help but skip every single scene with Farm and his shenanigans of revenge, what an absolute waste of time. There was not nearly as much focus on the main male leads as there was in the first season, and the other characters stories were less than satisfying this time around. And what happened to Phubet and Kavitra?? It was sad to not even see them mentioned. The fun and loving Yihwa became pathetic and boring and I wanted to gouge my eyes out as I forced myself to the end of this drama.
The good news is that episode 12+13 were great, which is the only reason I didn't give this show a complete zero. There are a few heartwarming and tear jerking moments towards the end, especially when dealing with coming out to their parents, however it just wasn't enough to redeem the entire season.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I really liked this series. The actors were first-rate, the directing was good, the film quality was terrific and, as much as some people hate the writing, I was okay with it. Anyone hoping for a lighthearted story will be disappointed: aside from some fun moments here and there, this was definitely a drama. (Heads up, spoilers ahead.)Korn/Knock: the story begins with them arguing over Korn's reluctance to come out to his parents (especially his extremely homophobic father), and Knock is very upset about it, enough to give Korn the cold shoulder and refusing to sleep with him. Boss (and conniving scumbag) Pete pretends to be a sympathetic friend to Korn, but really just wants to get into his pants. He succeeds by plying Korn with alcohol and coming on to him and, in a weak moment for Korn, they end up sleeping together. Korn is devastated for his mistake as soon as it's over.
From what I've read, this is the main reason fans are so upset by this series. But I'm actually happy the writers gave us this story. The truth is that this happens with some of the (seemingly) happiest of couples. People can behave totally out of character when dealing with stressful situations. I'm not condoning cheating (I've been cheated on and it sucks), but I do believe that, unless one is just an unfeeling, lying player (which was not the case with Korn), there are circumstances where couples stay together after one has cheated, and it can actually strengthen the relationship.
I won't go into the other couples and characters, as I don't want to make this review excessively long. Suffice it to say that I found the series interesting and compelling. At the very least, it gives us something to think--and to talk--about. I think this is a good thing.

This is is going to be a long one, so strap yourselves in. TWM: The Next Chapter was indeed a roller coaster of emotions. Happiness, sadness and downright anger was the general consensus of the audience of the season, particularly the anger felt towards the cheating trope between the main characters this season. The season was very well-rounded and managed to stir up a lot of visceral reactions from fans, which good television is supposed to illicit. Therefore, seeing the low rating was a little disheartening to comprehend, because its good television doing its job. I understand that a lot of people were wanting/expecting everything to be picturesque and happy but, the reality is, that's not real life and I applaud the writers for emphasizing that this season.
STORY: The story was excellent in my opinion, It kept on me on my toes the whole time. The exploration of working with your significant other in the same job, dealing with unexpected feelings of a colleague, and dealing with topic of coming out to loved ones and its reluctance affecting relationships, was done well. It emphasized that relationships are hard work and contain A LOT of compromise, even in ways that you may not agree with.
KORNKNOCK: All around wonderful but sometimes frustrating in a good way. The dichotomy between them was well executed this season. The theme of coming out to the parents was especially heartwarming, especially with Knock. The issue was a little tricky at first due to Knock having a double standard when it came to Korn and his family and was reluctant to accept that Korn wasn't ready/didn't want to come out to his family, especially his father, when Knock himself hadn't done either. Korn's fear/anxiety about the situation was completely warranted, due to his father making homophobic remarks in the past. Korn tries to make this relationship with Knock and his family work while trying to maintain the status quo of everything. It was hard to see them fight over the issue, with both of them being stubborn with their points. Knock, for all intents and purposes is a heterosexual man, who happened to find his soulmate in his best friend, which happens to be another man so he never necessarily had to deal with the fear of coming out compared to Korn, who is gay and has been hiding it from his parents, so when Knock comes out to his parents and receives a warm and loving response, he believes that it'll be the same for Korn, which furthers the misunderstanding towards Korn's reluctance to. Then comes in Pete, who I believed when he first appeared was a good guy, but turns out, not so much. There is a quite a lot of emotional manipulation that takes place due to him and that chips away at KornKnock's relationship, bringing up unresolved issues and internal fears such as Korn thinking that Knock may eventually cheat on him but, ironically doing it himself. While what Korn did wasn't the greatest thing, he truly felt guilty and wanted to make it work with Knock. If it had happened again, then it would be a whole different story but it didn't. When Knock tried taking his revenge on Knock with Pete, but couldn't pull through with it, it illustrated how strong their love really is for each other. All in all, it ends well and they definitely deserved it. It emphasizes that even when facing adversity, true love conquers all.
YIHWA/CHO: I liked that they explored their relationship more and explored the topic of developing feelings for another person while being in a long -term relationship. Yihwa became close with colleague, Art, and mistook certain feelings as feelings of attraction towards Art and ended up making a mistake that she regrets greatly. I was glad that she was honest with Cho and didn't try to keep it a huge secret that would have come out eventually. Cho, undoubtedly loves her wholeheartedly and it was really tough for him to accept that the love of his life has done something like that. Yihwa chooses to take some time for herself to decide who she truly loves, which I believe was a good idea. Her mistake was not as severe as Korn, but it still needed its own time to be processed by both of them, in order to make a decision that would hopefully benefit them in the end. I like that the left their story line open-ended, showing that immediate re-connection isn't always the best move.
FARM/BRIGHT/RIT: Where do I begin lol. I appreciated that Farm grew up a lot after being the innocent darling of the previous season. Farm scheming to give Bright what he deserved was a highlight for me. You receive what you put into the world and Bright was definitely receiving it. I thought the relationship between Rit and Farm was cute and was genuinely surprised that Rit had co-conspired with Bright to prove that Farm still had feelings for Bright. I felt bad for Rit, because he really did like Farm and it hurt him that his feelings weren't necessarily being reciprocated but I do think that Farm did genuinely liked Rit but was caught between a rock and a hard place that he created himself. Bright got what he deserved and in turn realized what he did to Farm was terrible and that Farm really had an impact on him. I'm glad that it showed Rit getting a second chance at love and Farm and Bright ending up together. Overall, a good conclusion to their story lines.
FAI: Loved her to bits this season. She essentially became the "mom" figure of the group when everyone was going through their emotional turmoils. Glad that she received a position as a engineer with a company, even though it means leaving the group for a period of time.
ACTING: The acting was superb especially Max's this season. Compared to Bad Romance, all of them have grown exponentially in their acting abilities and I'm proud of them for that. Max and Tul's chemistry is some of the best I've ever seen, You can definitely tell that there's a genuine connection between them and it translates on screen plus, their kissing scenes are amazing *wink wonk*
MUSIC: I don't really have much to say on this topic because I never really paid attention to it but noticed the correlation of the music between the seasons.
REWATCH VALUE: I will definitely rewatch the seasons because BR/TWM/TWN:TNC are my original BL series and it's what set me down the dark hole that is Thai BLs, which I'm glad I fell into.
OVERALL: This series will forever be in my top 10 shows of all time. I can't imagine my life without them since I discovered Together With Me on Tumblr. It has been a emotional journey since discovery and I wouldn't change it for the world. I will continue to support the actors in their future endeavors as the show has come to come an end, much to everyone's surprise but is completely understandable. I will cherish this show forever. Korn and Knock are what drew me in and everything included made me stay and I love it for that. I'm glad that it wasn't cheesy and full of fluff all the time. It showed relationships in a realistic manner and handled it respectfully. So, in conclusion, I just wanted to say thank you to the cast and crew of the series for bringing this wonderful series to life and sharing it with the world.

Unbelievably Good
To be frank, this series was at the bottom of my watchlist. I am not a fan of multiple pairings and the heavy themes (cheating, non-con, & toxicity) highlighted by many reviewers of this drama definitely turned me off. I wasn't really looking forward to it. But my curiosity and boredness overwhelmed everything else and decided to give "Together With Me" (1st one of the trilogy) a try. Not even two days have passed and I found myself at the final episode of TWM Next Chapter. That's how fast I binge-watched the whole thing.I am telling you. IT'S THAT GOOD.
I mean, I don't want to exaggerate, but this trilogy has done something in me that no other Thai BL have done.
It made me feel that these love stories can actually be real and heart-stopping. That everyone is human, and all relationships are multi-faceted and multi-dimensional. I am just so done with other BLs that are just pretentious and just full of fluff. No hate to those BLs but I didn't know I was looking for something deeper until I've watched TWM.
STORY: A lot of people bash TWM Next Chapter because of its "cheating theme". But I felt like it should be congratulated instead, because up until now I haven't seen any BL drama that have effectively and realistically shown all the deeper motivations of cheating. Yes. Cheating is absolutely despicable and I love that the drama did not shy away from showing its motivations, aftermaths, and resolutions. It was so realistic and really can happen in real life.
Yihwa's workplace flirting and almost romance happened to me, and to almost everyone I know. Even when you are in a relationship, this can happen and it's very human to admit that you can be vulnerable too. I like her more this series. So relatable. Korn's cheating was because of so many factors - heavy pressure from his father, misunderstandings & fights with Knock and of course, deep pent-up sexual frustration. And I know a lot of people hated him for these, but his reasons are actually very real and true. He gets a lot of hate "for thinking with his dick" but it can actually happen. Even Farm's constant cheating is not random. It's deeply rooted from something that happened to him previously. That cheating can be an offensive (revenge) and defense (coping) mechanism.
I love the depth of this theme, and I was so glad it got explored in this drama.
I also love the fact that this show has a workplace setting. It clearly shows a lot of workplace terminologies and environment. It has a much more different feel than the overused university ambience.
But of course, what I love most about this story is the focus on not only relationships but of friendships and families as well. From TWM to TWM Next Chapter, the cast's meaningful friendship has been the highlight. I love that this group of friends is always ready to help each other out. Even though they have misunderstandings and fights, they still care deeply about one another. Fai's admonishment of Yihwa was so harsh but it comes from a place of deep hurt and concern. I like how, even though it's hard for both of them, they got to talk it down and listen to each other's reasons. This friendship was so meaningful and precious that I really don't get how a lot of people could just overlook this, and just laser-focused on the cheating theme.
Like they erased everyone's goodness in their minds and just let one bad thing overwrite everything else. :(
I know most of the time Knock's parents are used for comedic purposes but whenever they appear, it's just precious. Even Korn's father (whom everyone hates) is a realistic portrayal of an outdated, conservative parent. But in the end, it shows that he just loves his only son and just don't want his son to suffer because of his relationship decisions.
ACTING: Max and Tul are the KINGS OF BL indeed. All their interactions are just laced with explosive, heart stopping, orgasmic chemistry. It does not matter whether they're fighting or kissing each other, everything is just electrified and great to watch. Of course, time to give kudos to everyone's acting as well. They're all great - from the main to the supporting cast. Everyone in the cast is likeable. Even the villains PlernPleng (TWM) and her minions' acting are decent and unforgettable. And in TWM Next Chapter, I like Pete and Art's acting, even though they had the villains' roles.
MUSIC: I like that no matter how ridiculous it gets, the music is still A+. I love the sad tempo of the BGM and all its OSTs.
REWATCH: Do you even have to ask? I have already rewatched this series multiple times. I cannot get enough. This is an unpopular opinion but I don't care. TWM Next Chapter is the best in the trilogy, and KornKnock (MaxTul) reigns in the BL world. Despite all its bad reviews and heavy themes, I am so glad that I gave this one a try. It's so unbelievably good and unforgettable. Right now, I am cruising and stalking all blogs related to this trilogy.
Thank you to everyone involved in making this. The cast and the production company have done a wonderful job. I am so excited for MaxTul's "Manner of Death" and I really hope that this one is as good. :)

After the high of watching Together With Me, this feels a bit like the crash, or at least right afterwards. With all three main couples preoccupied with cheating, there's not much room for other issues. There are indeed other problems facing soon-to-graduate college students, like Fai's choice to move abroad for work and her struggles against sexism in the workplace. The people trying to defend the overwhelming cheating plots as just being "realistic" are kinda ignoring the fact that it's not realistic to have everyone cheating left and right (except poor Fai, left out in the cold again). The side characters in this series were pretty forgettable, except for the fangirl club. Rit had the personality of a wet dish towel. Pete got thrust in our faces over and over (pun intended) but he really did not have the same impact as, say, Pernpleng from TWM. On one hand I felt glad that for once there was less of an emphasis on villains getting screen time (unlike Bad Romance's Mydear and James), but I also felt that the writers decided to add a whole bunch of flaws to Korn and Knock to compensate. Like suddenly Knock is addicted to games to the point it affects his work? Or that Korn would get a little drunk and cheat (I know he was under pressure, but damn they could have built up to that cheating scene much more). Or that Knock has a shopping problem and is crazy irresponsible with money while Korn just enables his spending habits by giving Knock his credit card? I don't know, but I felt like TWM made Korn and Knock believable while TWM:TNC wanted to make them "bigger" and "better" without actually giving them real character growth.
I guess I can't write this without talking about the product placement, either. Own Days, couldn't you have at least picked better-looking glasses for Knock for most of the episodes? They were seriously killing the mood every time he popped up. Instead of making me want to go out and buy them, I wanted to rip them off his face. Only in the last episode did I finally not mind Knock's new glasses (and I usually go for guys in glasses anyway, so that says a lot).

Not your light fluffy story
Together with me have made me mad, sad, happy all in this show especially this season. I have not watched bad romance so I will be speaking as a person who only watched season 1 and 2 of together with me.This show has broken my heart into a million pieces as it tackles the issue of cheating. It shows a different sight of romance, unlike most other BL romance show which shows the rainbow view of a relationship, even the climax and the argument is mostly about misunderstanding, evil third party and miscommunication which we all know that it is not the only factor that breaks a relationship. A perfect relationship might exist in reality but let's be honest, the chances of encountering a perfect relationship is close to impossible. But that does not mean that most relationships are toxic.
Cheating is a serious and a big issue, there are many people who do not condone cheating at all which can make this show a controversial one as can be seen by the low ratings. I have seen many comments who think that korn does not deserve knock at all.
In the 3 couples, all of them involve cheating, but it is not a copy and paste, 'drunk and accidentally have sex' kind of cheating. all 3 cheating are different. Korn cheated physically, yiwha cheated emotionally while farm cheated due to revenge. I liked how the show handled these 3 kinds of cheating differently and how it is being portrayed.
Can I just give a special reward to the break up scene between kornknock? That scene made me cried buckets at 3am. The writing and acting are just perfect. The way that knock hesitated to break up, part of me was just waiting impatiently for him to say it but another part of me get so emotional when I see him pause and think about their relationship before breaking up. Maxtul really are excellent actors.
The other cast are also really good actors and actresses, they made me smile when I see them genuinely happy and they made my eyes watery at all the sad scenes. my emotions are just a roller coaster in this season which I never a show can do to me.
All the characters are not perfect, I know many people are hating and feeling angry at many of the characters, but am I right to say they are realistic and they definitely redeemed themselves? Also about Farm, I really feel sad for him as he was changed 180 degree in this season compared to season 1. But it just shows how much he invested and sacrifice for the stupid doc in season 1 until he got raped. The MVP of the show is definitely Fai, she is totally my spirit character, do we have to be in a relationship to understand what is right and wrong?
Anyways, beginning of the show you will feel frustrated but it also shows you a more realistic side of love. Prepare lots of tissues and prepare for your heart to break into a million pieces but it really is worth a watch!!!

Sometimes when I see people on here asking for new seasons of shows, I'll think of this and be tempted to write "NO! DON'T DO IT!" Sure, new season is always fun to think about until they make it and completely ruin the previous seasons. When I first watched Bad Romance, I wasn't too impressed and the only two characters I was overly in love with were Korn and Knock and the friends. But it it was good.
Fast foward to Together With Me and I was not only in love with Korn and Knock, but I fell for Phu, Fai and Farm.
Fast forward to Together With Me: Next Chapter and I have one question - Why? Why do this?
This entire season was a hot mess. Everyone cheated on everyone-I'm not kidding this whole thing was just one big season of the Jerry Springer show. Farm became a massive man-whore, Yihwa lost her backbone and Cho is left kind of reeling. I don't know if they switched writers, or they were trying to shock people or what the deal was, but this entire season was a hot mess.
The chemistry between MaxTul was still there. There can never be any doubt about that. I adore these two together and on their own.
The story line was chaotic, pretentious and cringie. Because of course of men love each other they have to cheat on each other.
And what happened to the strong, Yihwa? What happened to the girl who went after Plerng for messing with her best friend? Where's the Yihwa who wasn't perfect but knew right from wrong?
As for Farm and Bright - don't get me started. I mean, okay, fine. I get it. Bright was a jerk to Farm, but how did it make sense for Farm to start sleeping with everything with a pulse and poor sweet Rit didn't even know what hit him.
Not get me wrong - people cheat on their spouses. It happens all the time. But lord have mercy - this entire thing was just too much.
I think the writers got lazy. They either got tired of writing these characters or something went terribly wrong because this whole thing ruined Together With Me.
