Song Xuanren hopes to make up for Fengjiu by rewarding her. Fengjiu rejects. The Empress becomes confused whether Fengjiu is simply innocent or cunning. The new Eunuch defends for Fengjiu, saying that he believes Fengjiu and Xuanren are truly in love with each other. Chu Wan is sick, so Xuanren and Fengjiu visit her.
