Other than that, the performances were really good and the CGI were decent enough, though sometimes they looked awkward. So, 8 out of 10.

Iron Man meets Parasyte
One of the best live actions ever made, this is better than Bleach, Full metal alchemist and Tokyo Ghoul combined and the action is in my opinion better than Gantz. If you are a fan of action movies this is a MUST watch. There's literally no dull moments in the movie especially during the latter half which is non-stop action, I didn't even noticed 2 hours had passed. However this is not a perfect movie, it still has its shortcomings, there are things that were not explained properly like the source of their superpowers, but you wouldn't even notice it, the narrative will overshadow it which is good vs. evil, both were given godly powers, one choose to protect people and the other to kill. The movies also suffers from the clichés of a superhero movie like "destruction of major metropolitan area", "traumatic childhood of the villain", "training montages" but even with those clichés I still love how they insert family and friendship elements in the movie.CGI effect here is great, though I won't say Hollywood level, but still it's realistic enough to make such scenes immersive. Action scenes won't be that much effective without the music, it acts as a cue and provides an extra feeling of tension. Acting is brilliant the only issue I had is with Inuyashiki's actor because he overacts a bit during that dramatic scene with her daughter which breaks the moment to me. Takeru Sato on the other hand is brilliant, the way he plays the villain role is convincing, he is indeed one of the best young actors in Japan.
Awesome movie, must watch for any action film lovers. I also think it is best to watch it with friends.

As I watched the movie, I realized once again that only Japan can create that kind of varying atmosphere. It started as some depressing slice-of-life genre, transformed into some fun Sc-fy action, jumped into the Death Note universe and came back for some superhero clash.
Two people of different age and circumstances stumble upon the opportunity to actually try out a "What would you do if you had god-like power"-situation while turning their innermost body parts into a superhuman robot. Due to their varied life experiences, their paths divide into completely different directions. Even though there's an explanation for the cause, they don't reveal the purpose of it all, and instead focus on the main characters development. You know pretty early on that there will be a hero and an anti-hero.
They use stereotype ruthless public bashing to corner the characters even further. Since there's no bloodthirsty psycho, there's no exaggerating use of gore either. But there is a very high death toll that makes you swallow nonetheless because of its simplicity. Like snapping fingers it happens without creating tension, no extensive explanation and delay. Just like that, it hits you in the guts (and that might not be to everyone's liking, just so you know).
CGI was totally okay in my eyes and the constant change between background music and silence I liked as well.
I don't think it's a movie for some real deep thinking. There is that question "What if...", but it's just that. The rest is either to people's liking or not. I for myself enjoyed the movie. And Sato Takeru can definitely pull off a high school kid.
