Nothing Special Force (2017)

You have a strong leading duo with lots of TV experience and so their acting ability and chemistry is strong. They clash because she's the new one coming in with strong opinions on how she should work and how others should work. They do care about each other as well. The rest of the cast does a reasonable job with their roles too. Unlike a lot of TV from Hong Kong right now, I feel this TV Show struck a good balance between comedy and touching moments even if sometimes the comedic moments were a bit over the top for my liking. There is romance but the overall show is about the team solving cases and their police work. The cases are sometimes used to make social points and some of the characters themselves struggle with problems such as the potential of being a single working mom. There are some good life lessons in this show. I give it an 8/10. It's not going to blow you away but I think it's a good show and worth giving a chance to.

Good Acting Enjoyable Story

I needed a light-hearted drama and decided to put this on as background noise and was surprised by how much I liked it.
Mandy Wong plays a pregnant cop that is striving for her best for her baby. She really does the most and starts off on the wrong foot with the Nothing Special Force, but in the end, she grew to love them. Ben's character is super sweet and caring in this drama.

The cases are hit or miss, but since the force focuses on random cases, there is a good variety in this drama. Of course, the cases near the end are the most interesting.

Music-wise the theme song really matches the vibe, it's upbeat and fun!

My main complaint is the lack of romance. There was more focus on the side couple with Jacqueline and C Kwan's characters compared to the leading pair. I was a bit annoyed at first but ended up enjoying the second couple's storyline in the end too.

Overall, enjoyable watch!
