Also based on true events, this movie portrays South Korea's harsh reality under President Chun Doo Hwan and Roh Tae Woo. The event of the 1980 Gwangju uprising was mentioned in the students/college movements. South Korea's movement for Democracy is a tragedy and a miracle.

Both are based on a true story, a strong relationship between two people from different countries. Both will probably make you cry han-river and giggle at some parts.

The title say that they should be fully different movies, but these two has similar plot and A Taxi Driver is more worthy to watch than this. The both movies show war between public and the police even though in Psychokinesis, they are not real police.
Raccomandato da Disgursting Sheet
- it's about the democratic movement and struggle of Korean people for the freedom
- A Taxi Driver is about a true story, but Snowdrop is a fiction

Same actor, best korean actor. True story. Part of Korean history. Military oppress society. Innocent citizen was killed. Brutality. Kind local. Need hero. Democracy precious.

Gwangju uprising and what happend in 1980!
A taxi driver is based on a true story! But youth of may show it's story in the base of real events!
Having the ability to preview what really happened in that period is admirable, this means that the current days are much better (at the level of korea at least) as that uprising wished for!

One film is based on the coup d'etat carried out by dictator Chun Doo-hwan which puts him in power, while the other captures the Gwangju Uprising and massacre of the protestors one year later, which Chun is notoriously responsible for.

Bromance. The poor main lead just trying to make money to feed the family. Didn’t realize he got himself into bigger trouble. Very good story. Heartwarming movie
Raccomandato da Chia6
Both movies cover important part of Korean government and political turmoil during 1960 and early 1980. Strangely enough Song Kang Ho plays the main character in both movies and historical events.
Raccomandato da Reavel
Both movies are about an ordinary, rather apolitical person who got unwittingly entangled in GwangJu uprising in 1980
Raccomandato da pinesilver
