I automatically think of tumbling when I think of Rookies and vice versa. All trouble boys learning a sport together. They learn to build a friendship with their members and learn to love the sport.

Both dramas are about a sports club making a come back. (Baseball for Rookies; Rythmic Gymnastics for Tumbling) Plus, there are the required cute Yankees. xD Rookies has a teacher that is the influence to change while Tumbling is more of a combined effort. You can't help cheering both teams on and desperately hope they reach their dreams.

Both deal with an unconventional teacher and their methods to motivate and stimulate their rambunctious, trouble-making students into becoming hard-working, self-respecting students and members of society.

They both have high school young men, and all the members learning a sport, the only difference is that water boys didn't have delinquents. Rookies were a bunch of bullies, thugs, outcast brought together to play baseball.

The themes behind these dramas are similar. The delinquent class meets a new teacher with a "past" and slowly begin to change for the better. Both dramas are bright, hope for the future sort of stories. They leave you with warm fuzzy feelings at the end.
