-Both leads are "leaders" of said groups

-The female leads are the same, strong and independent but know when to turn for help and want to do the right thing
-witchy female character (Hee Joo and Soo Ah)
-Teachers who try their best to support the students and their dreams
-same type of drama goes on in both like the cancellation of the goals of the combined teams and teacher complications

As soon as I started watching School 2017, I loved it and it reminded me a lot of Sassy Go Go....and that's when I looked it up and realized they're written by the same screenwriter!
Both are high school stories that revolve around school corruption, rich parents pressuring their students into attaining perfection, stress, violence, bullying, students with higher grades favored, power, status, etc stitched in with a romance plot both with adorable couples (if you had SLS in Sassy Go Go, then School 2017 might make you feel better since the main male lead reminds me a lot of the second lead in Sassy Go Go) The romance is very sugary/fluffy, but balanced well with the school corruption plot.
(I am definitely looking out for more of this screenwriter's works!)
(tw: suicidal subplot in Sassy Go Go)

They both are school dramas that delve deeper into the challenges of student life. Sassy Go Go, looks into the impact of unhealthy pressure and the fear of not being enough. While, School 2013, looks into the limitations that are within our learning institutions and having to confront our past in order to move forward, sometimes meeting with success and sometimes without. Both of these dramas have well developed 'villains' whose anxieties and fears are genuine; allowing them to be accessible to viewers. In general, Sassy Go Go, maintains a more upbeat tone while discussing these topics in comparison to School 2013.
Eunji is the female lead here, as well. And this drama is also about school and friendship. Like Cheer Up, this is also a coming-of-age tale.
Though, Cheer Up has a light cheerful tone to it and Angry Mom has a darker tone to it, both dramas are set in high school and is about corruption. It also has Ji-soo in it.
1.) Eun Ji as the female lead with similar personalities. Sassy girl who is bad at studying. And male lead being the one good at studying.
2.) Second male lead is the brother (or close friend) of male lead, making the male lead hesitate in love.
3.) Best friend of female lead also has similar personalities. N in Sassy Go Go and Hoya in Reply 1997. Both are quiet and shy, yet are the "wise" ones.
Will say that Reply 1997 generally has more content as well as twist and turns as compared to Sassy Go Go. But after you finished watching Reply 1997 and want more sass from Eun Ji, Sassy Go Go is a possible choice. Sassy Go Go has more fluttering moments though as the male lead is proactive than the one in Reply 1997.

It's also high school drama with romance (with great chemistry!)
Shut Up... is not about becoming friends, like Cheer Up, but it's about saving friendship. But characters in both dramas face the difficult situations and try to solve it together.
And bromances! :D

- Both high school dramas.
- SUFBB main characters are part of a rock band. SGG main characters are part of a cheerleading squad.
- Both have rivalry between two groups.
- Cute romance for main and side characters.

For years, Sassy Go Go has been my go to drama when I want something light, cute, and fluffy. Both dramas are high school dramas with strong female leads who takes charge of their future and doesn't back down.
