Too many thoughts on this drama
Where do I begin? I feel like I have so many thoughts about this drama but I can't list them all without relaying the entire show.As soon as the theme song began I was like, 'yeah, this is gonna be good.' For the most part I really enjoyed watching it but I cannot say it's one of my favs.
The plot was pretty basic with some minor twists and turns, making it very easy to watch. There are quite a lot of episodes that I think if I had have missed a few, it wouldn't have mattered.
Xiao Nai was such a smooth talker, but the way he looked at Weiwei gave me the feels. And the final episode omg! Also, the way he would kiss Weiwei was like WOW. Like he reallyyyyy knew what he was doing. On the other hand XD, Weiwei kind of always just stood there. I read a review where someone said she looked like a dead fish standing there and now I can't get that out of my brain. Also, why do some actors keep their eyes open???
Weiwei was your pure and innocent typical nice girl. There was something about the actress that kept throwing me off. The way she would sigh and move her eyes over the screen when she was playing the game reminded me of an anime character. Also, every time she spoke, it didn't look like what she was saying matched up with the movement of her mouth (if that makes sense; the sound was disjointed). Maybe I just have a dodgy computer, but I didn't notice this with any of the other characters.
I really liked Weiwei's friend Erxi; she is too cute! I felt so sad and sorry for her when she broke down after everyone kept mistaking her for being Luwei Weiwei. The girls who came to her workplace were so mean. It made me tear up at one point.
I also like all of Xiao Nai's friends. They seemed like really good guys and they were always happy and fun.
I found it very hard to wrap my head around the fact that people can think just because they're married in a game, means that they're into the person on the other side of the screen. Like what? It's just a game. People get wayyyy too invested in it lmao.
Cao Guang is on a whole another level. Like, 'IT'S A GAME!' He got so fixated on the thought that Weiwei was Erxi's avatar. When he confronted Weiwei and she was like, 'bruh, what are you even talking about?' I was lmao like exactly. He's all, 'Why are you two-timing people?' Honey, one - you don't even know her; and two - you're referring to an in-game spouse. A game!!! I just can't.
Boy was I glad when Weiwei bet all of them girls at the meetup and proved that she was Luewi weiwei, and then when Xiao Nai arrives to pick her up. Damn, that was so good!
I thought the game characters were developed well, in the sense that they looked like they were part of a game. If this had have been some high fantasy drama, I would have thought the effects were bad. It really did seem like they were game characters.
I felt like it was a bit cringe at times, especially in the beginning, but it never really let up for me. When Weiwei and Xiao Nai officially met, of course it was going to be a little awkward, but I feel like the awkwardness carried on a for while.
Can we talk about the amount of staring we have to go through? It is just unreal. Minutes on end I watched people staring into one another's eyes. I swear this drama could have been cut down by one whole episode if someone had have done some editing.
I was satisfied with the ending. I liked how it wrapped up in the place where Xiao Nai first noticed Weiwei and we got to see the flashback. That was cute.
Overall, I'm glad I watched this iconic masterpiece, if you will. I feel like I have so many more thoughts but this is enough to share.

I really did love the story line and I liked it enough to watch a 2nd time. However, the female lead was really not the right person for that roll. She was cold and stiff and next to Yang Yang didn't seem to really put her heart into the romance. She may as well been kissing a brick. Also the actress playing the part of Arsie was beyond annoying. The remaining cast was outstanding especially Yang Yang who really did such a great job it made me wonder if he wasn't a true computer scholar. I've since watched the Love 020 movie and thought it was really well done considering it was up against a 30 episode series done in an hour and a half. Both the male and female leads did an outstanding job in their rolls. I wish they had made it a little longer. Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
The refreshingly strong male and female lead with the lack of any real competition helped me just enjoy the story. For those that are new to Chinese dramas, this is a good one to watch. There is no miscommunication between the leads, which was quite nice. The connection the game brought to the atmosphere deserves a win from me. The development of the characters is not as apparent and arguably not existent but don't let that take anything away from your experience. For what it was meant to be, a lighthearted love story, it did its job.
The OST was refreshing and a pleasure to the ears. Knowing the cast sings it makes it so much better. Some of the songs are super addictive and sort of stick.
Though you can easily pick apart all its flaws, I choose not to. The simple romance and silly bromance combined with the storyline make this a good watch. The rewatch value is also huge in my opinion. But if you are not into romance (that isn't all it is) then this might not be the one for you, though it doesn't hurt to give it a go anyway. I just really liked how the leads weren't fighting over the smallest things and actually understood/supported each other.
I am but a simple mind and so I don't mind taking the extra time to watch something like this. The cast's chemistry, smile, and overall funny moments were enough for me.

Okay if you’re a game lover
I’m from UK and watching a lot of Asian dramas I can see online gaming is big business so it was a bit challenging to write a review. Didn’t like the way it came over that men seem smarter than women, so that was a mark down for me to start with. Found it confusing at times as the online characters seemed the same as the gamers, and having watched my son play online games he seems to pick online characters that he would like to be in real life, so following this story it seemed that the romance was online as well as in reality. Hmm! Confused yeah. The ML I’ve watched before, funnily enough in another gaming story The King’s Avatar and for me the actor Yang Yang has come across to me as one dimensional in both series as cold and arrogant, a trait I hate. No, this wasn’t for me and as some of the characters, especially male, weren’t that likeable so sorry can’t be objective about this, hence my low ratingQuesta recensione ti è stata utile?
I watched it in less than a week because I kept watching compulsively.
Episodes have just the right length, it does not drag.
The main couple was adorable, their friends were fun and the game sequences so much fun.
Also... I loved how much Nai and WeiWei trusted each other. Once they got together there was no room for doubts between them and they always had each other's back
The background of the game business was different. And I loved how they wrapped pretty much all the characters.

Life is too short for stressful drama.
Life is too short for stressful drama. Why spend all that time watching and be stressed? Don’t our lives already provide enough of that?Summary of the series:
- Light hearted rom/com; series had great flow
- simpatico characters
- villains are kept at bay easily, no long struggles, calamity or miscommunications to cause more drama and stress
- a bit outrageous on how the ML gets so much attention, but I get its fiction
- ending was not done succinctly, but wanted to extend it a bit more to enjoy the ML/FL together more after getting officially together
Very enjoyable, stressless series: recommended to watch for sure
If you are looking for gratuitous stress/drama, frequent miscommunications, abrupt ending, insipid side stories, then this is not for you.

This Is a Great Drama
Some people have problems with the ML's behavior. they try to analyze his every move putting bad motives with it. That in my opinion is plain stupid, yes I said stupid. the ones commenting couldn't have written or produce a better drama. so get over yourselves & your negativity. watch the drama for it's entertaining values. You don't have to watch it if you don't like it, but don't sit there and try to nit pick. To me this was a really great drama. One of those gems you keep on list of favorites do you can rewatch at you leisure. Some people just don't have anything better to do. So they sit criticize, analyzes and try to pontificate. Please stop. Watch. Enjoy. Don't take dramas so seriously. This particular drama is quite enjoyable to watch. So chill. Again relax & enjoy😘😘Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
My. Favourite. Drama.
I have been watching k/c/jdramas for 14ish years now, but I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan. I have issues finishing shows, so the number of dramas I have finished are small considering how long I've been watching. But I adore Love 020. I have rewatched this start to finish, and have rewatched my fav episodes as a mood booster in the past.
What I loved:
1. Capable Female Lead: not only is she book smart, she has a high EQ so I never feared for second hand embarrassment. Cute and dumb characters are fine but I hate watching avoidable, stupid scenes. You may be asking yourself, but if the FL is so perfect how can there be any drama? You would be partially right.
2. No Melodrama: Because the FL is capable, the show keeping crazys to a minimum, and no ridiculous miscommunications, there was no melodrama. NO hateful in-laws, jealous evil suitors, disapproving friends. There is drama - lots of problems and goals pop up that the main leads work together or alone to solve. These scenes give the relationship and the characters ways to mature that all seems natural and realistic. But overall this is a lighter, fluffier show.
3. The FL has a girl squad: How many shows have a female lead with MULTIPLE friends. All distinct and likeable so they don't just fade into the background. I have always found FL's with real friends (not lackeys) soo likeable. The ML has his own guy squad too but thats more normal in dramas. The ML friends are all secondary leads so they're in every episode and really cute and supportive.
4. Smoking hot ML: Yang Yang is perfect. nuff said
5. Gaming life: I don't play video games, but this read like a fantasy to me - ie interesting world building with in game social life and etiquette. I love fantasy books, but prefer modern dramas to period ones, so this was really cool for me.
Dislikes..? Nothing much, though I will say the latter half has less tension but is still a great watch. Also the secondary couple scenes can get a bit draggy. The show gave the novel a lot of padding (like the secondary couple) to lengthen it to drama length, but I find I like the drama more than the book and most of the scenes added make sense.
If you're an anxious watcher like me, this show will be like a cooling balm for your nerves :D

A Wholesome Drama I Often Rewatch
There are many things I absolutely love about this drama. The first would be the mature relationship between the Xiao Nai and Bei Wei Wei. It is a relationship filled with trust, communication and just pure adoration for one another, which is a combo I feel is often lacking in many dramas. Furthermore, it felt real and natural, which just made it more effective and enjoyable overall.
The second thing I absolutely love about this drama is the friendships. Literally all the friendships depicted with the main cast is really wholesome. It is supportive, fun, lighthearted and just a depiction of genuine friends.
The third thing I love about this drama is the way it depicts emotions such as sadness, pain and anger. There was a really natural and realistic depiction of it throughout the drama in various contexts (at least within the main cast). Considering many drama have this tendency to make such scenes over dramatic or lacking a realistic feel, I really appreciated it.
The final point, which has less to do with what was in the drama, than what was not in it. There was no over jealous reactions from the main leads, no parents who didn't agree with the couple being together or were constantly intervening, no suspected cheating drama, no "breakup and makeup" between the couple. These are some things that gets on my nerves fairly quickly when watching dramas, and it is something you find a lot in Chinese romance dramas.
Which is one of the reasons why I love this drama and keep coming back to it time and time again. Its such qualities which make it unique.
Now I have seen some poor reviews (someone else has given this a three out of ten), so I don't know if this is something everyone will love. But personally it was exactly what I needed from a romance drama.
