Written and directed by the same director. Although they're about 2 different themes, trust me, they have the same vibe. They take you through a fun, fascinating nostalgic trip with lovely characters and keep you smiling till the end.

Both Japanese movies about young high schoolers forming a band.
They face many challenges and difficulty.
Very cute and inspirstion

The similarity is the folk instrument. Both have youth vibe. Coming to age. Shy but cute. Appreciation of ancient instrument.

"Aozora Yell" tells a story of a high school girl named Tsubasa Ono who saw an inspirational brass band performance at the finals of the Japanese high school baseball championships one summer. Tsubasa vows to join the band when she enters high school, and she happens to meet a certain boy there. ~~ Adapted from the manga by Kazune Kawahara.

When his boss, Dae Jung, goes missing in a ship accident, the company sends Woo Joo to Osaka to finish his business. On his last day in the city, Woo Joo chases someone looking exactly like Dae Jung to Taisho, an area in Osaka. He ends up losing him, but the sound of a guitar draws Woo Joo to a small bar, Pier 34. Its owner, Snow, somehow reminds him of Dae Jung, and listening to his music brings back memories.

After passing out right there, Woo Joo ends up missing his flight back to Korea. He quits his job on a whim and soon meets Haruna, who is learning how to play the guitar from Snow. Woo Joo decides to stay at Pier 34 until he finds Dae Jung and so begins an unlikely vacation for him.

The vibe and dialogue style (especially the subtle joke) are pretty similar. And of course the youth theme and main cast composition (3 girls and 1 boy) as well, although Alps Stand covers much smaller time frame.

Ueno Juri and music! two different genres of music but both are still fun and light. There also Takenaka Naoto playing the role of a mentor in both

Despite different settings, both possess similar sense of humor and zero-to-hero narrative (although in "Summer Movie" it's not the main message). The main leads are also mostly girls too.

A behind-the-scenes look at the entertainment industry's PR teams, managers, and reporters as they scramble to clean up the messes created by their stars. Oh Han Byul leads an entertainment agency's PR team. One of her top clients is the star Gong Tae Sung, who can do no wrong. They were in high school and college together, where he became her sworn enemy. They bicker constantly but soon develop feelings for one another.

A tale of delinquent and lazy school girls. In their efforts to cut remedial summer math class, they end up vitiating and replacing the schools brass band.

it gives me the same vibe.

it shows how both the characters in the movie work hard to get better at something they never knew they would fall in love with.

With Aki Miyata's spirit in his body, Sota Kubota goes to see Aki's former girlfriend Kana Murase and his other bandmates.
