i dont exactly pay attention to the acting but the plot was great, the way of filming is great, the makeup and transformation stuff is great too
like lots of people focused on the girl or whatever, but i AM not kidding you right now, ignore the girl through out the whole series and TADA you got your self a new favorite
however, if you DONT like the vampire theme, dont watch please
i wont rate the cast since i didnt pay much attention to them so ill just rate 1

10% Romance 90% nonsense
So the first few episodes were actually good. But then once it reached to farther episodes I got more and more bored and confused.
I basically just skip to the scenes between the main 2.
Then once someone told me that they only kiss once, I realized that if I keep watching this I'll just waste my time.
So I instead skipped every episode and went immediately to the last episode.
The ending was quite bad too.
The only thing I actually like is the fact that the ML is one of my favorite actors ever since he casted in "Cinderella and the four knights"
And "Love with flaws"
I actually thought this would be like a drama where the vampire meets the girl and like needs to live somewhere so she lets him stay at her house and along the way she'll see more evidence pointing to him being a vampire.
I actually am a sucker for romance drama's so I thought this was also one of them. Sad to say that it wasn't.
But the main couple don't really seem to have chemistry in the first place.

Acting:
The main reason why I strayed away from touching this drama was a clip of GHS's acting with her annoying tone she portrayed as YRT/CY and AJH's stutters/mumbles as PJS. My first thought before touching that video was, "hey, it couldn't be that bad...everyone seems to drop this drama at episode 3...cant be that bad, right?" well it was and I didn't even last the entire video. Eventually, I decided to give this drama a try and I recommend just bearing through the drama by ignoring GHS's voice. Just think that maybe after her character learns to be civilized, it'll get better. I understand that she was trying to execute a new acting style, but from episode 1-5, it was too much. As for AJH, it was a surprise after hearing that he would be taking on a lead role after being given minor/supporting roles. He did well in my opinion, but I do agree that he did mumble even though I don't fully speak korean. Overall, the acting was alright, though it could of been better. I did notice that he had body language issues. Most of his scenes where they showed him standing and conversing with people, he stood stiff without moving much. It was kind of boring to watch.
Story:
The story started out exciting with having the child actor as PJS explain what he is and how he felt as someone infected. I knew that the back story will be brought into episode 2+ which was why i decided to stay. If not, I would of dropped it as soon as episode 1 ended. The story was great with the medical sides in between, but after they finished with the medical stuff, I noticed that the majority of scenes were the characters talking and explaining with lots of complicated dialogue. At times, it got so boring I didn't even know what they were discussing. Even the "vampire" transformations was cut down which made the action scenes look petty (explanation will be scene during episode 20) Also, I just wished that they had more freedom on set. All we saw were houses, hallways, hospital rooms and more hallways. Low budget? Don't even get me started on the romance. How did it even start? Wasn't it too rushed when he revealed his most kept secret? Oh man don't even get me started about the ending too.
Positive:
Personally, I hated the ending because of certain cliches, but I feel that what had happened was right. What I liked about this drama was how they showed the importance of cherishing the present and not taking it for granted or changing the life span of a human... basically saying nothing will last forever. I was glad that at some scenes, the other actors/actresses were able to make me cry. Not that I enjoy crying, but if a really heart wrenching scene is able to make me cry, it means they had done well. One thing I can say 100% certainty is that I loved the ost. Tiffany's song is by far my favorite still.
Ending:
Before I told my friends to not watch because of how the acting was and the critics, but now I tell them to just tolerate and ignore the acting until it gets good.

There's no plot, no romance, no good acting
This drama is an entertainment void. Absolutely not fun to watch, the acting isn't the best, the vampire plot is handled terribly, it's a nonsense slow burn and even the real life marriage that came out of it didn't work out.I thought the villain would add some seasoning here but, no. The premise that vampirism is a disease is interesting but it's for nothing here. The writing doesn't know where it's going, Goo Hye Sun's character is really annoying and the romance here has to accommodate for the plot which is very tiring to watch. It's like you're in a rock festival with a very bad band as the opening act but then the actual band you came to watch sucks a lot, so you just wonder why did I come here?
Some characters are charismatic but it's absolutely not worth it. I tried to finish this so many times until I realized it was literally torturing me. Just go for something else. There is no shortage of good vampire shows to watch, even if you want something campy.

I absolutely love and shipped Ahn Jae Hyon and Goo Hye Sun in this, they're character's connection is so strong that they even married IRL. c:
It may be a slow moving series, mostly because there are 20 1-hour episodes, but I was still truly satisfied with this series, and you will not be let down. That's all I'm gonna say. ;)
Let the sleepless nights begin... c;

I have so much to say about this!!!
I started watching this besides the fact it was on Netflix because the plot seemed intriquing and different. Like vampire as a surgeon?? (What could possibly go wrong?) Firstly I was sincerely surprised how they involved so many discussions about medicine and its dilemmas. I wonder if its legit because it had very complicated vocabulary about medicine, average viewer wouldn't understand if its all crap. Although first episodes where great, it got worse every episode. Ending was very much rushed and left you with many questions. I felt like they wanted to leave option for second season open.
Now the main reason I even write this review is because of the chemistry between two main leads. ( I have never seen them play in kdramas so I went to watch with no expectations.) I was just so shook because there was none. The girl tried so hard for their relationship to work, was always the one watching him sleep and I saw she had feelings but the guy wasn't interested at all, like even when he knew the girl was in danger he had to go and get his revenge AND most of the times failed miserably, only succeeded when his friends gave him something to anger the director. I felt like from Park Ji Sang's side it was more about revenge and the girl he imagined to be his "true love" was meant to fail the second he saw her again for the first time. Sometimes he looked at her as if she was his enemy too which was so weird and funny to watch. In fact everytime it was physically painful to watch as they spent all those nights together and said how much they cared about each other but then just weakly hugged, even his best friend had better romance in my opinion. Main leads always kept their distance and called each other formally as doctor... you don't call the person you love by their profession. So why all this is hard for me to understand is because they started dating and even tied the knot in real life, why didn't I see any chemistry in the drama??
The reason I gave it 6/10 was because I thought the plot idea they had was great and some of the acting by the infected was very creepy!! Also demon/vampire director saved the day, such an evil character, he really had no limits.
To end this long review, it really depends individually, whether you love it or hate it. One thing for sure, if you are looking for romantic kdrama, stay away from this.

I really love it but.....(Major spoiler don't continue)
I like the concept and the fight scenes. Story was progressing good. And what I love the most is the main couple, I love their chemistry, the cold guy and a girl with attitude. Both of them are smart and they really look good together. However the story is good and they build the tension, but has an unsatisfying resolution. They suffered for 19 episodes and the villain didn't even got a deserving punishment, he didn't repent or anything. A lot of character died but nothing got resolved. No explanation about the ending why is it like that? And what it is that they discovered? Is he still alive? Whats gonna happen next? It should be open ending I guess but it doesn't make any sense. 19 episodes is good I really love the scenes but the ending was not, it ruined everything.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

From there was tons of talking between Park and Jae Wook, but almost no fight.
Total lacking of Vampiric thirst stuff
And Ri Ta (In my opinion) was very, very annoying and a total useless character, there wasn't "love" at all between those too.
For me Park saw her as his little sister who was getting forcefully-annoyingly into HIS problems and who he got (again, forced) to protect, and nothing more.

-The drama had a good start with everything, but then things got out of place and boring
-About the cast...hm...I'm a fan of Ahn Jae Hyun, to be honest, physically he looks like a vampire, but his acting kind of failed...the same with Gu Hye Seon, I really loved her in "Boys over Flowers" but I don't think this role fit her, but I'm happy that they got married, because they had a great chemistry in the drama and they look cute together.
-The bad ost....
-The disappointing ending! I can't even understand if it was supposed to make me happy. The writer really didn't care about how to make an ending, he was like "Let's not give a shit and put the end like this". I need explanations!!!
-Overall, I can say, this drama was a waste of time. Bye bye my sweet 20 hours...
