It's the Chinese movie remake from 2014. Follows the same plot, he's seeking revenge on the mother who abandoned him. Falls in love but he's only got so long to live. It is a movie so there will be a lot missing and may be rushed.

The story lines are definitely different, but both of the main roles are friends since they were young. They know each other's habit and have an undescribed feeling for each other not knowing it was love as they growing up together.
