Kyung Hwan's Awakening (FINALLY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT)
(Note when Season 3 is up, they better make a spin-off like "The Backpacker Chef: World Tour" where they can travel around the globe serving dishes for overseas clients. I would be stoked when they stop by at Manila, Philippines. The staff trolled the catering crew with a fake ticket and they better make up with their prank with a reward vacation abroad.)Kyung hwan barely had the chance to shine, ever since he is promoted to a permanent member of the catering crew, until the blades sharpened in Incheon, where Bo Mi took a can opener and possibly his trademark role. The sounds of speed chopping from last season can now be heard from Kyungwhan. Not as masterful, but still satisfying. Daewhan would be proud of him and when he returns as a volunteer guest, he will approve him. Still getting unnoticed by Chef Baek, but rest assured 20 episodes will be enough to change his mind.
Can't believe they made it at the edge of South Korea where one of the most insidious country no man could escapeknown as North Korea is located. Once again, any episode where the former cast joins in as guest is a definite treat. DinDin truly became a reliable veteran member after numerous mistakes he made and challenges he faced back in season 1. Sad he is available within episode 4-5. Well, back to square one until The Bladed Vigilante Daewhan returns. I never get to try cold broth soup and maybe I should make one. Once again, great episode.
Talkative yet diligent rapper DinDin from season 1 comes for their help reigniting its charm and feed elementary and middle school students at an orchestra school with malatang and tanghulu. (currently the Korean kids' favorite dishes) By far, my favorite of the season. Maybe in the future, Daewhan will make a entrance and help them speed up the cooking preparation.
Pointless Catering Request for Half-Hearted Advertisement for the Olympics
One of the major issues I have is the request from the Jincheon Training Center is merely just a scummy method to promote the olympics. Chef Paik wanted to reject them, since the athlete's menu had everything they want. What gives? Sure, they want outside food as a cheat day, but to be frank here, it was completely pointless Clearly, the staff want to dump on Paik. If that incident ever happens once more, it will be quite worse like what went down with You Quiz on the Block.
