So much to love

I watched the last three episodes in a row, so hopefully, this reflects mostly THIS episode (19) but I might just group it with the other episode reviews.



I am SO proud of Kang Chi! I was so afraid he'd turn bitter against humans because of all Wol Ryung's warnings going through his head, and the way misunderstanding after misunderstanding seemed to happen. But the Admiral gave really good advice about trust and building relationships, and I'm SO glad Kang Chi took it to heart and didn't go off on a killing spree because he found out about Yeo Wool's dad "slashing" his own father.



And can we please talk about how adorable the scene was with him, after brushing past Yeo Wool like she had done to him just a scene or two prior? I definitely cried. "Don't ever walk past me like a stranger, again." OMO!! I love them!!



I'm so frightened, because while all this drama's been going on, so far they haven't made me mad. The crazy things that are happening aren't ruining the main characters, and I LOVE that! I just hope the writers kept it that way through to the end. And I'm terrified that someone's not going to come out of it alive! I want all the good guys to live and be happy! Please!?



And while we're talking about happy endings... Tae Seo. Give him a nice girl that is not already taken, please. Because he's a wonderful man, and I love him, too.



This episode was executed with the perfect balance of emotions. I was in tears from both sad feels and laughter.

BEST EPISODE EVER!!!

Why is it that every time Wol Ryung asks a simple question, it becomes the most epic and enduring line ever? OH, right. Shmexeh voice. ^.^ Just like with "Why did you do that?" his "Who is he?" was epicness. Just sayin. Okay.



Oh. My. Gudness!! Lantern Festival... wish lantern... SO MUCH CUTENESS, I COULD DIE!!! But I can't, because MY GUMIHO IS BACK AND I HAVE TO DRINK IN EVERY MOMENT OF HIS FACE AND VOICE!!! But seriously, those two (Dam Yeol and Kang Chi) are way, way too adorable and need to be happy forever. Kthnx.



Bong Chool turning waaaay onto Kang Chi's side = also epic, and hilarious, and wondrous. :D :D :D



I still hate Gon's stupid face. Every time I see his stupid face I want to punch him in the stomach until he crumples on the floor. He just... IRRITATES ME!! I feel like he has no right to care about Yeo Wool!! Just GO AWAY!!



Tae Seo being arranged for Yeo Wool IS SO FLIPPIN SAD!!! Gon still has no right to show his stupid face and CARE about it!! But seriously!! Tae Seo is so wonderful, but YEO WOOL AND KANG CHI FOREVER!! *sobs* But at least my Gumiho sang during that part. :D



HEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHaisjfaosidjfasofahsfasfj!!! I almost hyperventilated with giggles when My Gumiho popped up to smirk at his son. :D :D :D :D :D May we have more of that, please??!?!



Head Gisaeng being one of the four masters was surprising, but it makes sense when you think about it. However, Gon does not make sense. Nothing about his stupid face makes sense. He also was the only "master" who didn't have something epic to say to the Admiral. Just sat there looking stupid with his stupid face.



AAAAAAAAAAHAHHAA!!! I LOVE that Wol Ryung couldn't remember who "that female human you were married to" was at first. "Seo Hwa? Ah. Seo Hwa." HEHEHE! That's RIGHT!! She doesn't deserve to be remembered!! ONLY THINK OF ME, WOL RYUNG!!! I like you in monster form, too. And I don't mind that you sucked the life force out of a few guys. :) Wooooorth it!



As for the ending scene: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMO!!!! MY HEART CANNOT TAKE THE INCREDIBLE AWESOMENESS OF THAT AMAZING EPICSAUCE!!! *DIES*

My rating is for the ending of this episode

Mi Do is starting to really irritate me with her straddling the fence. Even when she says she wants Jae Hee to back off, she doesn't seem to back up her words. That could just be his annoying persistence and not her own inability to truly make up her mind, but in my humble opinion, a girl has to be crazy in the noggin not to jump at the chance to be with Tae Sang. Sure. The drama needs romantic conflict (I... guess?) or it won't have that tension and draw... whatever. I still think you could bring in conflict with the baddies and keep Mi Do and Tae Sang on good, lovey-dovey terms without it getting stale. Honestly, just have Mi Do walk in on him shirtless a couple times! Problem solved! ;D



Speaking of which... no shirtless SSH scenes in this episode. Sadness. :(



But the ending threw me over the moon, so that's what I rated this episode by. :P Even though the rest kind of irritated me.

Blah.

Usually, I can find some reason to be conflicted between the two male leads, but for some reason, I find Jae Hee to be a total let down. Maybe it's because ANYONE pales in comparison to SSH, but his mannerisms and everything... they don't thrill me. I understand the contrast they're trying to make between the two guys, but when Tae Sang is just smiling all the time whenever he thinks about Mi Do, I can't help but want Jae Hee to disappear. When Mi Do was letting loose and enjoying herself, I felt sad that she wasn't able to be that way with Tae Sang. I can't wait for that moment to come. This man wants to give her everything (including his heart, I'm not talking just material possessions) and I think it would be pretty cruel to shrug that off.



Love the awkward tension at the end. Usual drama cliffie, but still makes me cringe. :P



Also, lower rating for NO shirtless SSH scenes. Psht.

Oh, the fluffies!

I know this episode is getting a lot of flack for jumping the gun in the confession department, but I find it refreshing to have the guy admit his intentions early on. I don't care to sit through hours of him silently tormented about his developing love. I'm sure she's going to refuse him... I can't imagine the writers have figured out that a mafia husband/wife could be an amazing drama if done right, so she'll probably reject him all the way up until the last. Still, I'm excited to have Tae Sang propose at the end of the second episode!! "Just live comfortably by my side." You ladies know you'd say yes. :P C'mon! It's Song Seung Hyun!



I only worry that it's going to get darker and darker as the drama progresses. I'm not excited about the potential heartache for 18 more episodes. As long as the drama stems from outside influences and life threatening situations rather than Mi Do doing something idiotic, I can handle it. (*coughs*City Hunter, I'm looking at you.*coughs*)



Only counted two shirtless SSH scenes for this episode, and one was from the previous ender, but that's beside the point. Or is it? :P

I am an idiot.

I have seen enough dramas to know by now that the quiet, sweet, patient, perfect man (Jin Rak) never gets the girl. But somehow, I was in denial all the way up to this episode, and when Enrique leaned in for the kiss, I FREAKED THE HECK OUT. It was really upsetting for me to be on the Jin Rak line for so long and suddenly realise I was just fooling myself. I know... how could I not see she'd fall for Enrique? I must have been lost in my Jink Rak fantasies, but I honestly thought this was going to be a totally original drama without an upsetting love triangle. I did not read up on ANY summaries, so I was watching it blind. VERY blind, apparently. :P



And I do love Enrique! He's adorable, and fun, and hilarious, and I love how he seems to know what Dok Mi is thinking. But since I was so rooting for Jak Rin all this time, I found the whole confession/kissing a total let down, as well as a surprise. I had to watch the next episode to stop fuming over it... :/
