Slow but steady

The ninth episode of the series keeps the same atmosphere and slow burn pace like all the previous episodes and it is still a very interesting watch. My only (main) problem is the unecessary and cringy romance that has no reason of existence and it doesn't fit to the general vibe of the series. Plus, it is obvious that SHK is older than the age she is supposed to be (and older that her ''classmates''). I wouldn't really mind it, but the awful make up that they use on her does her zero justice and makes her look older than she is, while also looking unnatural.Obviously the whole ''part 2'' thing is unecessary. It is a typical 16 episode Kdrama that is split into two parts with no good reason, at least from a viewer's perspective.

Love for math VS Corruption

Second episode was not as good as the first one and the main problem was the two main plots intertwining in a 'peculiar' way. While I love how the story between the two mains proceeds and I liked the fact that they showed the pressure that some gifted students have to go through, because of their parents excuse of wanting the best for them, the corruption plot is not developed in a great way. To be more precise, it seems a bit out of place, like watching a different series. The atmosphere changes completely from one scene to the other. At some points you feel like watching a more light hearted series, with some social commentary and then it feels like watching a makjang like drama (like SKY Castle). It was still a pretty good episode though, with some extremely visually pleasing scenes and it has potential to be even better.

A captivating start

I wasn't really in the mood to start this series, but I was bored the other day and needed something to watch, so I pressed 'play' and I wasn't disappointed. The series deals with a very delicate subject and it certainly did a good job at portraying the start of the two main leads relationship. The acting was very good, the plot unraveled very naturally and it was extremely visually pleasing, which is a plus for me. I am a bit scared of the whole 16 episodes thing, but I hope that the story will proceed as smoothly as possible.

The best for last

My favourite episode in the anthology. Nina as the mother did a great job acting wise and so did the child actress, Irene, that portrayed her daughter Kaew. A commentary on single parenthood through a horror lens. Now, if it was truly a supernatural entity that did all these, is up to you to decide...

Second worse episode

Despite the good acting by Bee and Sydney and despite a good and interesting start, at some point the story turned quite ridiculous. Still liked the ending and the bloody scenes though.

One of the better stories in Terror Tuesday

Left this one to watch last. Even though I heard many praises about it, I was not that impresses, but it is still one of the better stories in the anthology. Great acting, both by Nat and Piglet. Pretty confusing story for the most, but fun to watch. Had the least interesting cinematography, but overall it felt pretty unique despite the usual horror trope (haunted room).

Fever dream

The only thing worth watching -besides the gory scenes- is Pat as Oil. She did a great job, but that aside the episode feels like a fever dream. It is so ridiculous, it is more funny than disturbing or scary and there is some pretty bad overacting.

One of the best in the anthology

This episode is the least ''horror'' one, but the story is very interesting and quite unique and the acting from the two mains is one of the best in the entire series.

Could have been so much better

The first half of this episode was fantastic. Amazing cinematography and some very interesting characters. However, second half was a bit too messy and over the top for my taste and it felt a bit underwhelming, despite its quite well-done ending.

Good enough

Again, the directing was great and the acting was much better comparing to episode one with Care being the highlight of the episode. Unfortunately, the plot wasn't as intriguing, but it was still, overall, a decent episode.

A solid first episode

I kind of started this out of curiosity, thinking I would drop it after like 10 minutes, but despite the cliches and some overacting -especially from the mom's actress-, the pilot episode was very promising. It was entertaining and had a solid enough plot. BUT, the directing and cinematography was definitely the highlight of it. It was amazingly directed and aesthetically pleasing, while keeping a dark atmosphere. Hopefully, the rest of the episodes are equally good.

Rushed beginning, but generally a good start

Interesting plot and characters and a very well done dark atmosphere. Some overacting here and there, but wasn't too bothered about it. Two dislikes so far. One, we had Byun Yo Han playing a 19 year old when he is nearing his 40s. Two, the first 20 minutes feel like a "previously on". There are way too many (important) things happening and they are all over in those first 20 minutes. They should have spent more time on those events , so we could gain some understanding of the characters and connect with them.

Paganini = Epic episode

You know the episode is going to be epic, when Paganini's Caprice no 24 starts playing! The series had a good beginning, with eps 3-4 being pretty draggy and boring, but episode 5 was everything this series needed to be from the get-go. Reminded me the good old times when Kmovies/Kdramas had some great examples of twisted/fucked up/revenge moments. Hopefully I was right and the whole second half is more suspenseful and generally better.

Great concept, but...

First 10 and last 15 minutes of the episode were pretty good. That aside, everything else was pretty boring despite the interesting concept and we have -as usual- the typical stupid/corrupt police officer as a main character.

This can't work

When I read the synopsis, I expected a very dark series, similar to Influence or even the more disturbing Kenja no ai. It is a pity that this series is just not working. The plot has a lot of potential, but the time is not enough for the plot to proceed in a way that feels natural. There are some scenes that just don't make any sense. Within two episodes and with just a mention that more than a few days have passed, the FL fell in love with the main lead and apparently is heartbroken, after what happened. And then there was that scene with her police officer friend that made me roll my eyes by how ridiculous it was. The only thing I enjoy so far is the male lead. I like the emotions that he evokes with his eyes. I truly hope that this will get better, because so far it reminds me my experience with Kyoufu Shinbun.
