Defintley on my top 3
I watched Bad Buddy each Friday when a new episode would come out, but I decided after rewatching it a second time I would write a review. The story was pretty unoriginal and has been done countless times. The enemies to lovers, rivalry, music, college. But Bad Buddy definitely did it right, and much better than a lot of BL's. I've watched this trope so many times and it usually felt boring and repetitive, but Bad Buddy did it so well, and made it unique in it's own way.
The BL wasn't too depressing and serious at times, though it was. There were also tons of humor and jokes that I actually laughed at! This is really uncommon since I almost always keep a straight face during "comedy" in BL. But when there were emotional moments like in episode five when Pran hears that Pat as a crush on ink broke my heart. Pran's tears and acting pulled my heartstrings, the acting was so amazing and I really felt the emotions of the characters.
The chemistry between the two was incredible, they picked the perfect actors since they were already friends, and it just made it not so awkward or tense feeling. The show had no cringey moments where I had to pause several times, or moments that were so awkward between the two. It was relieving.
Though the two had a bit of a toxic rivalry at first, once they started developing feelings and understanding their difference their relationship was so adorable, and not TOO unrealistic. There were no rapey or non-consensual acts, so I didn't feel grossed out. It made it so much better since there was no stereotypical bottom/top thing, they were both equal in the relationship and were both presented as masculine guys, which is hard to come across since there is almost always one that is more feminine than the other.
I also loved Ink and Pa's relationship, I really want a season two just with them because they deserved so much more deep dive into their relationship. They are so adorable, and I usually don't seek out GL since I am a gay guy, but they had so much chemistry and I had to keep watching for them since I loved them so much.
I didn't skip any moments in this BL, it didn't get boring, and I enjoyed all of the characters In this show. Except Pat's parents and the actor who played the rival rugby team player, who shot Pat which was so sad. (Of course, I mean their characters, the actors are incredible and did such a good job.)
The music was so good, that I literally searched up the names of the songs just to listen to them on their own that is how much I liked them. The music was spot on and fit perfectly, especially Pran's and Pat's song that they made in high school, it was so good I couldn't help but keep replaying it.
It was so good, 9.5/10 for sure, and I recommend it to anybody that loves this kind of trope.

So damn stressful, yet so damn good... *W SPOILERS*
This BL is so good, but the whole time I was stressed. I have never really enjoyed time loops because they have always freaked me out irl. So I didn't expect to enjoy this BL at all, but shockingly, I did. Though I was on edge a lot of the time, it was still a good watch.Putting the rewatch value pretty low because I feel like this is a one time rush, and I don't think I could stand to watch it again, because how stressful it was.
I do wish the ending was a bit better? It was interesting, the ending, but I feel like it doesn't make much sense. I was kinda hoping that Tin and Tol had a better happy ending. I feel like the whole "almost" death thing after the huge scene at the end was kind of dumb, I was wishing it was just went less overboard. But that is bias of me because I usually prefer to watch more soft BL's.
I am still glad both of them survived in the end, which I was not expecting. I was waiting for a huge plot twist in the end, where one of them or both of them ended up dying, but pleasantly I was surprised.
Story was good, ending maybe not so much. Still would recommend it though.

Good BL, characters not so much.
I would have to say this is a pretty solid BL, I really enjoyed it. The plot was sort of unique and there was a lot representation especially with the deaf community which isn't often seen in BL, and in shows/movies in general so i enjoyed the aspect about it.The characters were a bit annoying at times, especially the main couple. And I didn't really like how they made Alan out to be the bad guy in the beginning, because I generally felt bad for him. But I was glad that Alan got his own little romance at the ending, or else it wouldn't really feel complete.
There was a lot realism in this series and wasn't overally fluffy, and was more realistic with the build up of the relationships and the relationships had more depth. You don't see that in a lot of BLs. Wen was a bit repetitive with his relationship with Jim, I like how there was more build up, but Wen seemed a bit to desperate and it felt like he was forceful which was a bit annoying.
I honestly liked the side couples more, especially with Heart and Li Ming, I wish there was some spin-off series between the two people they were so much more interesting but had way less screen time. And their overall relationship was more healthy and the dynamics were fun to watch.
So 8/10 feels right, mostly just wish the main couple weren't as annoying as they were shown, (It got a bit better.) And the side couple had more screen time. The age gap wasn't HUGE, but it was kind of weird.
I recommend this BL if you like slow build up between characters and are looking for more diversity when it comes to stories or characters.

This could have been so much better...
Color rushes storyline and plot are incredibly unique, and I really liked the idea of it. But the whole main character-ish death thing so suddenly was...well.. unexpected to say the least. I watched it expecting a normal love story because that is how the BL was perceived, so I watched it expecting something like that. I shipped the two characters in the beginning, but everyone went off track in the end and the second season. After season one, the plot was totally different, and it was so confusing that I had no idea what was going on. I rewatched it trying to understand what the hell was going on, but there are so many plot holes.
I didn't expect much from a Korean bl though, since most of them are kind of mid, and there are very few that I enjoy. But I feel the director made the two in the beginning seem so nice together, that the audience would obviously be upset if it was totally changed.
Of course, it is unique because no one was expecting that, but it would have been better if it was a bit more unoriginal, with a stereotypical love story with a bit of a twist. Good idea, bad ending, bad execution.
If you do like the whole "main character" death thing, then I guess it isn't extremely terrible. The acting is nice and the actors I've seen and I've enjoyed in the past.

WOW!! Best BL!
This is the best BL I have watched so far. I pushed this BL to the side for a year. But I wish I watched it sooner. The story is so unique and interesting. I love the ending, it didn't leave me wishing there could of been more, which is hard to find in any BL. The acting was incredible, I couldn't skip one second of any of the episodes, each character was so interesting to watch. Defintley rewatching when I have time!! Plus I love the cast, watched many shows that the main cast were in, and the acting is great. I reccommend watching when you have time.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
