A cliche romance drama wrapped in an interesting theme, love that is bounded by a country. It would be fine if the country was something like between South Korea and China, but this is SK and North Korea, for NK which we know as a closed country and kinda dangerous.

So it is about a South Korean chaebol heiress, Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin) who, while paragliding in Seoul, South Korea, is swept up in a sudden storm, crash-lands in the North Korean portion of the DMZ, and meets a captain Ri Jeong Hyeok (Hyun-bin) in the Korean People's Army. Over time, they fall in love, despite the divide and dispute between their respective countries.

This Korean drama is really like other clichéd dramas but the setting moves to North Korea, but it's interesting to see the romance that exists in a country that we don't know what it's like. I can say that this drama was executed well, had actors who maximized their abilities and in the end they really raised this drama.

A good show.

The first act is literaly my fantasy, meet a pretty nurse, get closer with her, then become a lover; after that, when the main characters enters the Long Distance Relationship (LDR) , I gotta say it was like a nightmare, I don't wanna experience that.

Everything start sweet but LDR usually turns a relationship sour, especially if the two person got a job, hard to communicate, rarely seeing each other, so it's not strange if there's a change in feelings.

This film is pretty good on describing this kind of relationship, we get to see Jang Hyeok and Daeun from a sweet couple to the verge of collapse because of LDR.

It's really hard to see our couple shattered here, but what happened in the end, that happens for good.

The message this film trying to deliver from my understanding is love between 2 people requires trust, mutual understanding and appreciation, especially if you in LDR.

There a twist in the end, I didn't see it coming but I gotta say it make sense, Daeun was hurt and she deserve a good ending, she gets a man who can appreciate her more. It's not spoiler I guess. Just watch it, you'll get it.

I'm not japanese but I still remember the first time I read about this Teke-Teke when I was 10 years in some blog and I was freaked out, because the story says "when you know about teke-teke, then it will kill you in bathroom" they put it at the last paragraph, I wanna curse the author and after that I became more diligent in worshiping to God.

This film actually pretty good from the technicality for sure, how it's uses Teke-Teke POV when it chasing someone was pretty good, but it design not creepy as I expected, kinda disappointed.

Glad that they're not forcing to get a longer duration, 70 minutes in more than enough.

This film begins by showing off its great technicality, the scene when a woman employee in a mall looks in the mirror in the restroom and then when she looks down to bring a falling item while her reflection in the mirror doesn't follow her movements it's very jawdropping, even though I know how they did it.

With that great opening in mind then few more kills involving mirrors, obviously I started expecting another some supernatural things related to mirrors, but what I get is detective mystery thing. It's not bad but it's like I'm being kept away from a crystal clear diamond that I could get. I'm disappointed.

For the ending, I don't really understand how it came out like that, made me confused with the concept of the mirror world.

Overall, enjoyable, the technicality impressed me but also at some point kinda dissapointing.

Last night I actually planned to rewatch To All the Boys: I've Loved Before and P.S. ILY then proceed to watch Always and Forever but I stumbled upon this instead after my friend send me a Kuchisake Onna picture and I got curious because I haven't watch it... I hate it when curiosity has to be paid for on the spot.

It's not disappointing my choice but kinda feels mixed up because it's a bit different from the legend I've heard, then the dramatic injection that makes it looks ridiculous for me.

Kuchisake Onna design i can say it's good but i think the slit not long enough, and the actress who played her looks creepy. Then how she give a terror was good because she possessed a body of living human, so when our main characters thought she killed Onna but the body suddenly turn into the owner of the real body and fortunately Onna only prefer mothers from what I noticed here.

Overall, I'll say it's mediocre but Koji Shiraishi has given me a great horror film in the form of Noroi, I am thankful for that. Aftet watching this, actually I feel like I want to try to watch another from his filmography.

Heartwarming coming of age story in a rural village.

A coming of age film that feels warm and cool like the film setting, also wrapped in a love story that is innocent and not prominent but calming.

Actually, around first 30 minutes we are brought to know the characters and also adapt to be comfortable with the setting. There are really not many characters here, only 6 school students, few teachers, along with character families and other villagers. And the focus is on friendship of the students, with a little subplot that feels no exaggeration from the other characters and gradually converges to between Soyo and Osawa, our couple.

After that 30 minutes we begin to dive into the adolescent story of Soyo, a girl who is in the process of reaching maturity, knowing love, the way the world works, etc. which is presented like a flowing river flowing calmly.

As the title suggested, the village atmosphere in this film feels cool, full of gentle breeze and warm. It describes the condition of the village well, many rice fields, forests and houses are not close together. The main thing is the vibe of a village is very pronounced in this film, because I've been lived in a village and the feeling when I was watch it feels very similar like when I used to walk around the village, near rice field or farm and some village places. They did a good job in this aspect.

All the characters acting feels natural, the role of every character are also suitable like the people in the real village.

I don't know what to say anymore, I love this film but I can't put another words in my mind into this review. Maybe for the last I'll say this film feels relateable that I feel cozy when watch it and that's why I love it.

Overall, one of the best coming of age film I've watched, and also has the best setting.

"Will I see you again?"

I interested with this film after read the synopsis, and I was like what the heck is romance limited by time. But when I watched I understand how it works, and shows potential to be a good and touching love story.

The power of this film I think was the story (of course), directing, acting & the backsound/soundtrack.

I think I wanna cry while watching this film, for real the emotion was there at every scene. Moreover when I realize/understand the story, it makes my heart breaks a little.

Glad that this film/story take Takatoshi POV so it was more structured, and can build up the emotions smoother. So when in the end it changes the POV to Emi, it was blow up the emotions that have been built from the start.

What makes it really hurt was because this is a romance film so they share a lot of happy moment together and I don't want it to end. And I think Emi side when it come to the last day was more hurt for me, you have been make a lot of happy moment but after that you can't do that again, I will cry like she did after she gets on the train for sure.

And actually I don't understand the ending, can someone try explain it to me?

Not as good as the Taiwanese version.

When I first see the opening minutes, it looks promising and there was an attempt to adapt it to suit Japanese culture but unfortunately it turned out to be bad, so it's not as exciting as the original film.

The first half puts forward and encourages friendship, but the element that should be prioritized because it will be the life of this film, namely 'romance', was ignored in the first half and it was a bad decision, when Kosuke and Hayase began to be the focus as a couple, but due to the wrong build up, they in my opinion looks more like bestfriend than a couple of lovers, even when the dating scene there's no love there, so their relationship which was supposed to be at that moment has started to mature but because it is late in sharpening so it's still raw, since the dating scene I am sure this film has no hope.

I'm a fan of Nogizaka46, so I know Saito Asuka but to be honest in here her acting is very bad, Hayase has become like a female character who doesn't deserve to be fought for and chased like Shen Chia Yi. But Asuka's getting better now, in Eizouken she's doing well.

Yuki Yamada, he's okay but sometimes his acting is too contrived and cringe and the development of his character also makes his character Kosuke look like an idiot, unlike seeing Ko Ching Teng, where I hope he is the one with Shen Chia Yi, for Kosuke I feel he deserves not to get Hayase because he looks so stupid.

Ironically, the film puts forward friendship in the first half, in the next half it is just thrown away, so I can't remember the character of Kosuke and Hayase's friends because there is no memorable moment.

I want to type a lot of the ugliness of this film, such as an unflattering sense of nostalgia, class atmosphere that feels unpleasant etc.

That's all I can type, better not watch it if you've watch the Taiwanese one.

Fun with a lot over the top scenes.

At first I thought this would be a horror film with Ghosts but it wasn't, the atmosphere development was so good so I thought like I said before, it's really uncomfortable.

Getting further into the film, the atmosphere, remote villages and strange residents make me feel familiar and remember a game called Forbidden Siren, especially here the film takes the point of view of 2 main characters, and is shown in real time what they do and what happens to them at the same time during they're seperated and getting lost.

Overall the film is honestly very entertaining, especially with the presence of Reiko the scissor carrier, really cool.

If you've watch 4bia and the sequel, better not watch this.

This is what I thinking after watch the film:
> The First story was too generic, everybody who's ever watch horror film would know where this is ends up but still the first good on building the atmosphere.

> The second story, the stupidity of the character that makes him suffering, and the "stupidity" there's really annoying for me, not really enjoy it but in the ending of the story that was so fxxing creepy.

> The third story, the best one, it's not creepy but it's fun and kind of sending a message of how dangerous prank is.

That's all I think.

A psychological horror...

So I think this sequel was far more better than the first film in my opinion and also take a little different path. EDT1 was more like slasher-gore blood splatter everywhere but this EDT2 was more slow, kinda trying to be psychological I think and that's a good thing.

I really enjoy it so much, from the dark tone, more focused story was kind make it better than EDT1. The killing scene in here was not showed explicitly, and I don't think it's bad think, cause I get that, what they're trying to pursue with this film.

Overall, better than the first but I don't think everyone gonna like it because it has that another boring movies vibe.

Parents love... you guys gonna cry when you watch this Yoshitaro Nomura film's.

The film tells the story of a husband and wife who has a daughter, and their daughter is exposed to tetanus.

I thought this film would be a monster body horror film like Tetsuo but it wasn't. Although there is still horror, the drama is still thicker in this film. But I could say that the drama and horror genres were merged into one because the scenes that could be considered horror still didn't stay away from drama and didn't make the film scary.

Apart from the film that didn't meet my initial expectations, it turned out to be one of my best film viewing experiences this year. It was like found a gem. Truly a typical film I love, a drama full of emotions that could bring tears to my eyes and I'll explain later below.

What is certain is that this film feels realistic and relatable, at the beginning when Masako bit her tongue, the reactions from her father and mother really matched what parents would do in the real world.

Maybe the horror in this film tends to be more psychological, like the moment when the film starts to get into the 2nd act, Masako doesn't recover and is getting longer in the hospital, moreover, we will often be shown the moment when Masako had convulsions and as time went by; like her parents, I also getting tired and her parents psychologically began to slowly disturbed.

With the longer Masako was treated, making the hope to see her recover becoming more and more blurry, to the point that Masako's parents cried because they were mentally tired, but I was touched, they were good parents and still chose to keep taking care of Masako, standing by her side, guarding the shrinking hope.

And when the film began to reach its ending without realizing it, my tears flowed because I was touched and satisfied with the result of Masako's parents' patience in facing the tragedy that befell them.

Overall, this a masterpiece.

It's complicated...

Finally, I can feel the warmth that was lost when I watched Equinox Flower and Early Spring here, even though as the film progressed the warmth also disappeared.

The film opens with a windy opening that is soothing but still hot. The location is also a lot of feast for the eyes and I like that.

What triggers the conflict in this film is the friction between past and present relationships; It was only natural for Kamajuro to frequently visit his mistress, Oyoshi to see his now-adult son, Kiyoshi, who he had not seen for a long time. However, because of that his current partner, Sumiko who is also part of the theater led by Kamajuro, starts to get suspicious and when he finds out why Kamajuro always goes out of the natural theater, Sumiko is jealous, and the moment when Sumiko comes to Oyoshi's place becomes the moment where friction occurs and the fire starts. The fire that was already burning earlier began to simmer many emotional moments in this film.

In addition to the conflict between Kamajuro and Sumiko that got hotter, and for the first time during my time watching Ozu's films, I could see the romance in Ozu's film, shown in the relationship between Kiyoshi and Kayo, although it started out badly, but they looked cute when the two of them, but the relationship had an effect on Kiyoshi, who became blinded by a love that has a message to young people that is to forget about love for a moment, it's better to pursue your dream, make a lot of money from that job, then raise the life of your parents and your soul mate will definitely not going anywhere. That message is still relevant today.

I also like the acting of the cast which is really good in my opinion. Especially Ganjiro Nakamura and Machiko Kyo, they can put emotions into the bickering scene where they are placed in 2 opposite places and the rains act like a barrier and that was really really cool.

Overall, the film is satisfying, so far there has been no Ozu film that I put into the bad category, hopefully it's all good.
