SCREENWRITERS I WILL AVOID
I've come to expect anything from the imaginations of certain screewnwriters: To be disasterous, given their repeated theft of our precious time. A good story is one thing. To have it ride on famous cast names, while filling the plot with misandry, rape, adultery, incest, misogyny, and anything else from their depraved hearts is quite another. Hoping the viewers will forgive them is yet another beast and apparently 20-30% of local viewers agree to go to the dark side. Makjangs, and mini-makjangs (fewer than 25 episodes) are their specialty. This list is for those who want to avoid such. This list is also for those who dearly thrive on moral debasement.
There are a few screenwriters who don't understand the cultural responsibility of the finished project. Or maybe they do.... One person can usher in a new standard of living, or they can completely tear down what has taken years to advance, e.g. women asserting NO to ward off sexual advances, but her NO is turned into a maybe or worse (permission) when the male disregards her NO and proceeds to do what he likes. It's disheartening to see the younger generation applaud the male's behavior just...bc...he...is...a...handsome...actor. Their writings are missed opportunities FOR the younger generation to be empowered instead of reinforcing the old stereotypes.
A new selection of screenwriters is demanded, to replace what should be put out to pasture. There are rookie screenwriters rising, and I have a separate list for them.
This is MY list. Not yours. If you have a suggested screenwriter, do include them in the comments.

Im Sung Han
Corea del Sud
"Im Sung Han is a South Korean screenwriter. Im is considered a hitmaker, as most of her projects reach 20-30% television ratings on average. But she is divisive, becoming a target of criticism from viewers and the media for her excessive use of provocative storylines (called "makjang" in Korean, this typically involves ADULTERY, revenge, RAPE, birth secrets, fatal illnesses, and INCEST).

Ha Myung Hee
Corea del Sud
Her dramas start out with the viewer thinking "This is the BEST drama ever" until midway, then her dramas never recover. It's almost as if she likes to destroy her works on purpose.
-
Jung Yeo Rang
Corea del Sud
First time screewnwriter with Dr Cha which in the history of Kdramas could be classified as an example of how NOT to write a drama.

Jo Jung Joo

I don't know what's happened to this writer since his Are You Human Too? in 2018 to the The Real Has Come! in 2023. It's apparent this writer had a personal crisis within 5 short years. Or has he always felt this way?!

Koo Ji Won

Bravo, My Life 2022, grade school writing. Grooming techniques could trigger trauma for CSA survivors.

Writer, clearly, doesn't write good scripts. Dear Hyeri (2024) was a disaster, waiting 4 yrs to offer what should've been trashed.
