BL MASTERLIST
This is a list of BL and/or LGBTQ+ dramas and movies i have watched.
Have been watching BL since early days, Takumi kun and Love of Siam times, so late 2000's early 2010's. I'll keep updating this rabbit hole as i get across to old series or movies i watched as well as the new series i finish. Always with a quick review/commentary.
This will help me to keep track but it can also be good for people that may find some content to watch so i'll make it public and try not to put spoilers (forgive me if i provide a bit too much once in a while, sometimes is needed) but still give a short input of every single one of them.
ENJOY
^^

1. 'Cause You're My Boy
Thai Drama - 2018, 12 episodes
This was a roller coaster.
Had high hopes the first half but was a total disappointment during the second one.
The production felt short. Filler misunderstandings, accidents and out of character type of story line with the mom.The bright side is that they have an ok chemistry and being rookies, room for improvement.
-
2. 2 Moons
Thai Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
It was cute at first.
Your typical feel good basic old school bl that is quite predictable but never fails you to fill a cozy at home weekend.
The 0 chemistry between the main actors and disgust of God playing a gay role was the biggest downside, i was uncomfortable in some of their romantic scenes.
Now i laugh when i see their kiss scene, he has disgust all over his face.
Still a cute basic normative series to enjoy without thinking too deeply. -
3. 1 Month Like Summer Vacation
Japanese Movie - 2008
It came and went without leaving a mark.
The overcoming story could be more powerful, same as the sad ending.
More like a bro kinda bromance than anything else.
Fails to provide deepness and love. -
4. 2 Moons 2
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
I like some of the actors and it was nice to see how the story from the novel evolves.
I have never ever been a fan of changing the actors (Maybe Takumi Kun was the only palatable exception) so it felt weird for a bit.
Is a basic kind of BL but it was better than the first one. The actors had chemistry and if someone was disgusted, was way better at hiding it than our first doctor. -
5. 2gether: The Series
Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
The guys are cute, very eye candy, and good actors/singers. The production and photography is stunning as well. and the first/main plot line is cute BUT that's about it. It doesn't evolve well and they fail to portray love.
Felt like a bromance, some stupid scenes and plot lines.
Basic BL. Good to watch and enjoy but don't expect a lot from the story. Expect from the production.
Hate how they made the character of Green.
We will never forget that high five. -
6. 2Wish The Series
Thai Special - 2019, 2 episodes
What on earth was this.
Thank god the actors have an strong ship.
-
7. 3 Will Be Free
Thai Drama - 2019, 10 episodes
Quite refreshing.
Some secondary characters were fully made, with an arc as interesting as the mains or even more, that's quite new.
The trio could have been explored deeply and better. There was no equality in their relationship aof3 if that's what you look for.
I kinda wanted more for the gay character, maybe i am biassed, probably, but i wasn't satisfied with the ending. -
8. Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!
Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
Kudos for the story, UNIQUE.
Their couple is so cute and fluffy... i want a man like him to cook me (sorry, to me haha) in the mornings.
Perfect couple, if Japan could have gave me more sweet couple moments and more in deep i would have died right then. Japan... you are behind there, most of the times.
How they handle their struggles and grow themselves and their love story is cute, fun and entertaining to watch.
Feel free to drop more special episodes or whatever, i am so here for it!! -
9. A Round Trip to Love
Chinese Movie - 2016
Watched without leaving a mark.
Very over dramatic.
Their scenes are quite mid level hot tho.
-
10. A Round Trip to Love Part 2
Chinese Movie - 2016
Same as the first one, very very dramatic and not in a very good way.
-
11. A Tale of a Thousand Stars
Thai Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
This is beautiful.
Have been a fan of Earth since his debut, so when i knew that he was going to be a main character again after almost 4 years being a secondary character, i was thrilled. It went over any of my already high expectations after the trailers. It will go to my top for sure.
Perfect new and interesting story line, non predictable, stunning visuals, cute and hot guys that are great actors and totally into character. Perfectly directed, loved every character. The OST, what a good one as well, specially the opening song, love it.
It ticks all the boxes.
For some reason Tian reminds me of Jin from BTS, visually speaking, no that they look alike, is their feel, the structure of their faces and features... so he got me there. And as a rookie, he did an amazing job as an actor, one of the best projects from a rookie along with Gulf from Tharn and Type.
If this wasn't GMMTV for sure they would have had more moments kisses and all, but they expressed their love so well with the smallest things, like the way they look at each others... That along got me on the feels heavily. Kings of loving eyes.More intensity in their romance would have been the icing of the cake, specially in some scenes, it would make sense and be realistic, but it's GMMTV.
Still, credits when it's due, they gave us a masterpiece here. One of those that it will be hard for your heart to overcome, and it will make you compare the new ones and elevate your standards.
I don't see a 2 season been needed, but i would love and think it would be good to have an after movie after a good while, it would be hella sweet.
For me, the best series from GMMTV so far along He's Comming to me.
-
12. Addicted Heroin
Chinese Drama - 2016, 15 episodes
It wasn't that up there for me as for many, but indeed, it was a good one.
They had good chemistry and the plot was good, have read the novels so i was really looking forward to see more, specially knowing how hardcore it gets.
We all know what happened and who is the culprit. Will always be incomplete and a heartache for our community.
-
13. Ai no Kotodama
Japanese Movie - 2007
Back when there was no bl industry and a few Japanese movies that were quite bad kept me alive. Thanks i guess.
They lived together and were an step forward compared to others at their time, so kudos for that.
-
14. Ai no Kotodama 2: Sekai no Hate Made
Japanese Movie - 2010
Basic early birth of bl.
We suffered worse
-
15. Antique Bakery
Korean Movie - 2008
This had potential, but ended there.
MY MAN, my crush Kim Jae Wook was a flamboyant confident and sexy gay here, kissing hot dudes left and right, and dancing at the club with sparkle see through clothes, so thank you for that director.Abrupt ending without a full ending.
-
16. Bad Romance: The Series
Thai Drama - 2016, 13 episodes
The series is just meh, but it brought to life one of our iconic bl couples so that alone deserves credits.
Is the worst of the 3 "seasons"? Yes.
You need to watch it? Yes.
MaxTul is that iconic, is a ritual of passing for every BL fan. Watch the other 2 to figure out why.
-
17. Bangkok Love Story
Thai Movie - 2007
Our old school kinda bad ones, but the ones that kept us alive back then.
The gays with water and half naked bodies never fail us completely.
-
18. Because of You
Taiwanese Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
Disapointing. The korean dude was terrible here.
If you have nothing else to watch or do, maybe.
-
19. Berlin Drifters
Japanese Movie - 2017
A porn movie with a bit of plot around there.
Literally.
Graphic, very.
They aren't hot so even that felt short to me.
-
20. Bishonen
Hong Kong Movie - 1998
A classic that doesn't feel like a classic.
It provided when there was nothing else.
-
21. Boku no Kareshi wo Shokai Shimasu
Japanese Movie - 2009
Old school Japan. They had some moments, COUCH.
Bad movie and bad short stories, but is there.
-
22. Bokura No Ai No Kanade
Japanese Movie - 2008
Not as terrible considering what we had back then.
The piano story is interesting enough.
Sex is sex, can be with or without love, but friends... you should appreciate those and be kind to their feelings.
Has some ups and many downs.
I seriously find it amazing how clearly i remember some of this movies i saw a decade ago while i was in high school. How i ended up in college will always remain a mistery.
-
23. Boy Meets Boy
Korean Movie - 2008
A cute short story, but please what the fuck with the white fairy singing? please make her stop.
-
24. Boys Love
Japanese Movie - 2006
Old school Japan.
I go a bit easy with this ones because back then it was what it was.2006!! Little to none bl and coming from Japan, a very corseted society... Most of them, like this one, are very dark arcs, sad endings, pain... you know, the gays cannot be happy.
It helped us to get further, we had to start breaking the wall somewhere, so we should be thankful, but keep all this in mind.
Angst, sadness, dramatic, unsatisfying... For a crying out loud Sunday.Don't expect high quality in any aspect tho.
-
25. Boys Love 2
Japanese Movie - 2007
Old school Japan.
Angst, sadness, dramatic, unsatisfying... Our sad gays but with a relative happy ending. -
26. Candy and Kiss
Japanese Movie - 2015
The feels of old school Japan but more actual.
Is basic, not very good. The long distance arc had a bit of meat, but felt dry.
The face of the one that leaves reminds me of my belated love from Japan, our eternal Haruma Miura. That makes me a bit sad, miss him badly.
Happy endings from Japan are welcome. Don't expect too much. -
27. Club Friday The Series Season 5: Secret of a Heart That Doesn't Exist
Thai Drama - 2015, 4 episodes
Watched for 2 reasons:
1. BL
2. Witwisit back as a bl character (Love of Siam was my first Thai bl movie, 2006, very old school type but our classic that started it all).
Has some potential and the couple visually is quite an eye candy. The story is bad tho, gays that cheat, complicated gays, unsatisfying ending. -
28. Colore Rush
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
Nice surprise.
We can say that Korea is starting to ride the bl world for good, but the nice thing is that they are trying with the interesting/unique plots way more than our basic engineers.
The color rush moments are bomb, i enjoyed the need they have for each other and how they give us the story line progress and development.
The love chemistry is quite dry, enough? maybe, but it lacks something. The sparks, they come with the color rush, but hardly with their lovely scenes, those are ok. -
29. Cornetto Love Expert
Thai Special - 2020, 3 episodes
Take it for what it is, a commercial with a cute and strong pairing.
The Offgun ship eating... ice creams ;)
No plot, just eye candy.
I suggest to watch it eating an ice cream a boring afternoon. -
30. Craving You
Taiwanese Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
A bit off sometimes.
The plot attracted me, Food and music in one series. The acting isn't great but the biggest issue is the peace of the plot line and fillers.
It was a bit hard to watch in full, had to skip-skip-skip
Kudos for the kiss scene, and specially kudos for casting an openly gay actor and kudos to him for coming out, he has balls. This is needed for the BL and LGBTQ+ community in order to finally collide properly. -
31. Dark Blue and Moonlight
Taiwanese Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
I am a bit biassed here.
The production, photography, color coordinated palette... mesmerizing. Visually is a top tier production.
ONE OF THE BEST OST.
The acting is good enough, some better than others, all of them absurdly handsome.
The plot is interesting. It felt off a bit during the last part, the resolution of conflicts. Unsatisfying ending but better than the extra episodes one.
Loved the artistic direction, it could have been IT, but they stopped escalating a couple of miles before getting to the top.
The sexual chemistry and physical connection won't disappoint you. -
32. Dark Blue And Moonlight Special
Taiwanese Special - 2017, 4 episodes
Again, the production, photography, color coordinated palette... mesmerizing. Visually is a top tier production.
This extra episodes felt like someone shows you a great cake, with all the flavors that you like, visually amazing, you are already salivating... but when you actually eat it the after taste is bitter. The series has a kinda good kinda content ending, kinda, but this extras end on a sad note. It felt like they left it sad but open to improve, the problem is that there was never a 2 season so... it ended there, sad.
Some would have preferred to leave it as it ends in the series, but here are some eye candy cute fluffy and sexy moments so... it delivered there.
-
33. Dark Blue Kiss
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
PETE & KAO in your area.
The best one related to this characters, great ending story for this couple. Hopes for a future one? hard to say, it ended perfectly but they could milk an older/mature arc in the future.
My big crush New is more out than in at GMMTV, we know the issues. They aren't casting him and only milking the ship for events and merch so... only time will tell if he is "forgiven" by the company and Tay. Sadly the chemistry is a bit lost.
Went a bit off topic, hehe.
The color scheme and what they tried to do with the blues reminds me of Dark blue and Moonlight. Loved the intro, very different for GMMTV.
The story has the ups and downs. Overall a good one and every bl fan could enjoy their ship and love story.
Let's rebuild your trust guys, the real strong friendship over the on screen love. -
34. Deal Lover
Thai Drama - 2021, 5 episodes
Mediocre at it's best.
The bl is a secondary couple.
The "let's share a house and see who gains the opportunity to buy it from this grandma that has dementia only when it's useful for this plot but no longer after that" was a bit ... an stretch, not realistic but could provide a fun ride so i was here for it.A couple of funny moments here and there.
The development was off, you don't really know why the mains felt in love. The bl couple is first sight attraction. Started really cute and sweet, but went sour. Didn't really understand the changes in opinion of the older one, they were a bit out of character.
The production is... meh.
I would't recommend, but is somewhat watchable if you have nothing else.
Skip Skip is your best friend here. -
35. Dew the Movie
Thai Movie - 2019
One of the biggest disapointments i have experienced from a movie.
The first half is stunning, visually, the 90's vibes, the OST... I am a huge fan of Ohm, for me ihe s one of the best actors that works on the BL industry, he is seriously skilled.
The turning point from the plot is... stupidly bad. The supernatural, reincarnations... just no. the gaps are a bit... dude, you gay, not an hetero pederast. And trust me, i am not the person who is against making movies with socially unacceptable plots, i watch the weirdest shit and i am ok with it, is a movie and art is there to explore.
The problem is that it doesn't work, at all. And the old actor cannot stand a candle compared to the young ones.
The OST is a keeper. Ohm is a Keeper.
Alexa, how can i forget the 2 half of this movie? -
36. Diary of Tootsies
Thai Drama - 2016, 12 episodes
This is a fun ride.
Is in that blurry line between BL and LGBTQ+
I like that. I want more of that.
The characters are incredibly charming and funny, i had laughs on every episode.
Wanna be part of their group of friends, let me join the squad!! -
37. Diary of Tootsies 2
Thai Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
My squad is back!!
Again, on the fence, BL here and LGBTQ+ there.
For me is important, love both and a mix is needed for better content.
As fun as the first season, maybe with more deepness, sweetness and some sadness.
Very enjoyable. We need a 3rd season for many reasons.
-
38. Does the Flower Bloom?
Japanese Movie - 2018
If you are a fan of the manga, you will want to watch it and you could understand better. If not, is an average Japanese Bl movie.
The acting is average, the deliver of their love story is average, and the chemistry... lacks.
Still, the story behind is sweet and lovely, art and flower lovers are welcomed. -
39. Don't Want You to Be Alone
Chinese Movie - 2017
Is a cute short!
Delivers.
The plot twist is cuteeeee :)
A sweet candy. -
40. En of Love: Love Mechanics
Thai Drama - 2020, 4 episodes
This was the En of love couple that had more fans and we will have a full series later on during 2021.
For me it wasn't a great love story tho. I don't like Vee, how he behaves and treats people. I gave him a little bit of redemption, let's see if they give enough in the long series for me to enjoy their love.
The ship is good, they have chemistry, that's probably why they stand out even more. Both hella handsome and good acting skills.
I wanted better for Mark tho, but let's give them the benefit of the doubt for a future progress. -
41. En of Love: This is Love Story
Thai Drama - 2020, 3 episodes
I shipped them the most out of the 3 stories.
Quite cute. Enjoy their moments, the library one... sweetest and honest ones.
This was recorded while the first huge strike from our enemy, the Covid. Postponed first and shortened later.
The other 2 couples had 4 eps and this one 3. Sadly, because they had huge potential.
Still, was a sweet treat and i enjoyed them the most.
Want more from them. -
42. En of Love
Thai Drama - 2020, 4 episodes
The start of En of Love.
Their couple is cute, crazy cute hight diference. Liked that both have personality and know themselves.
When they get together, they are the most stable, healthy, honest and full of maturity and love out of the 3 couples. Maybe that's why the story doesn't have that much. There's not that much drama here. But personally, i loved to see a good love like this one.
The series as a series is average and so is the acting but imo. Some predictable boring stuff. A bit outdated.
They are strong, the kind of couple that trust and has a great foundation. They are building a house with strong firm foundations witch is nice to see, maybe not as entertaining but. Hey! you nice, keep going.
I do wanna see more of this two as well. -
43. Eternal Summer
Taiwanese Movie - 2006
Quite a good old school movie.
One of those that i like, An story, LGBTQ+, BL, Movie... everything, as it should.
The key moment was... was something. Great acting and cinematography for the times.
Interpretative ending. -
44. Evening Cafe
Thai Drama - 2021, 4 episodes
What is this.
I saw friends making tik toks with a more convincing acting and plot, and that itself should warn you.
I knew this was bad before watching it, but i am the kind of person that watches even knowing it so i can say it sucks from my own judging,I like to watch bad movies as well, sometimes you can rant or laugh about it. Maybe you want as well.
-
45. Falling in Love with a Rival
Chinese Drama - 2015, 8 episodes
The kind of BL that should't be done.
Bad incoherent story.
Tries to be funny, but lacks.
Tries to be BL, but not at the same time, let's not make our country hate this.
It's a pass. -
46. Father and Son
Thai Movie - 2015
A weird one, a bit hard to digest.
Like i said i don't mind art to cross morals, so that's interesting.
The issue is that isn't a good one. -
47. Fathers
Thai Movie - 2016
This is an important movie to make.
Highlights issues that are very important for the LGBTQ+ comunity.
You will be furious and disappointed with the dad, Phoon
Good to see that the other papa has balls and is a bomb as dad.
The kid does a pretty good damn job.
The ending that deserved.
Yuke, i would like you to be my dad, or my daddy, you can choose. Well, you are gay, so let's just see you as a dad /uncle haha Still, if you are open to women, i would gladly marry you as well.
Nat, Singto left to find himself but you found the family that you wanted, not bad. Singto is Singto tho. hahaha sorry, i like to put my finger into the wound, *jokes for the ones that know* -
48. Find You In The Crowd
Chinese Movie - 2017
Another good premise that felt short.
Has her ups and downs. -
49. Find You In The Crowd 2
Chinese Movie - 2019
A bit better than the first and a bit worse.
Take it as that. -
50. Forbidden Love
Japanese Movie - 2008
Your old friend from Japan.
Currently it's aged, never was good, but it was what we had.
It has good moments, i remember how blindly in love the older one was and how the other had a hella sad struggling past. -
51. Forever Summer
Japanese Movie - 2015
Sometimes i don't know how i remember all this old school Japanese movies, and more specially how i differentiate them. This is old school coming to end times, 2015. From 2018-2019 things are getting better.
It was your typical: What are this feelings, no, unsure, yes, fuck this isn't right, afraid, better not, sad past comes along, sickness, let's try, too late.
For a while 80% of Japanese BL was this plot line, and sad ending.
Pain and sadness, our gays cannot be happy.
I recall a sweet scene with photos and white curtains. -
52. Forget Me Not
Thai Movie - 2011
A sad but meaningful short.
Memories vs forgetting. -
53. Formula 17
Taiwanese Movie - 2004
This was one of my first Taiwanese BL movies.
Yes, it's quite absurd but for the times wasn't as terrible.
The issue is that the traumas are a bit... eh silly.
But has some comedic scenes that are a bit entertaining and the actors are quite cute.
I wound't say is a must watch but you can watch it as a filler or to go back in time to early 2000's BL. -
54. Friend Forever
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
The start was promising but it went downhill.
The progress isn't well done, needs a better line of time and the characters act a bit nonsensical, specially the main couple. Oil is like, well, if my man doesn't get in line, may as well enjoy my popularity with males. He does some hard to explain out of character and questionable things while the other is struggling with a lot on his plate.
I enjoyed the secondary couple the best, the band singers.
The scene where they first meet (ep. 1), where one falls in love for the other while seeing him busking and then he tries his best to make him enter into his top music school... is cute as hell.
I was disappointed with the slow and badly put together progress and sometimes is hard to see how the other guy starts liking this guy as a man rather than as a friend.
But they have some fluffy cute scenes, borderline bromance tho. Still, i am happy i saw them.
The third couple feels like a filler.
Overall the start is promising but falls quite easily. -
55. Friend Zone
Thai Drama - 2018, 12 episodes
I enjoyed this one way more than i anticipated.
At first i saw Singto and jumped with my eyes closed, even knowing that the BL is a side dish.
The series is quite good, a group of friends that are far from put together, everyone is dealing with their ish, cheating, mental health, fresh from college what do i do, who i am, what i want... Struggling like all of us and making hella mistakes.
Is chaotic, you hate some at a time, then star to understand, forgive, maybe not... it leaves room for all of us to see ourselves in the mirror and use our morals and ideals to decide if some things are ok or not for us. -
56. Friend Zone 2: Dangerous Area
Thai Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Even better than the first one.
Tell me tell me baby... i still jam to the opening song.
We get to see their present after season 1, but most importantly, their past, how they meet, how everything started... it provides a lot of insight on every character and you get to understand and read them.
The feeling of redemption, finding themselves, being confident in their own skin, realizing their true feelings, their mistakes, being mature to let go... but still humanly broken, and making mistakes all over again.
Even if is not full BL is super fun and the BL plot quite a good one. Is one of those BL + LGBTQ+, no separation line. I live for that.
I loved it and still have hopes for a 3rd season. Everything kinda ends well rounded yes, but there's also room and an open circle, just as life evolves, they evolved and will keep doing so. -
57. From Now To The Past
Chinese Movie - 2015
Wet hot dudes, rain and alcohol, sexual tension, sadness and an hetero wedding.
This hardly ends well. Not an exception, be aware. Still, i kinda liked it. -
58. Fujimi Orchestra
Japanese Movie - 2012
Our old school Japan.
Consent? we don't know him in this household, or should i say orchestra?
Teacher and student
Poorly executed, acted and directed. -
59. Futureless Things
Korean Movie - 2014
5 to 10 mins of this movie are BL...
And you can bet that those are the only ones i truly watched.
I saw a few more, but wasn't really interesting enough.
The BL couple are worth the search tho, for Korea 2014 and two now quite well known actors, is a fun ride.
They are cute and in love, military issue.
Those were 5 minutes of sweetness. -
60. Gay OK Bangkok 2
Thai Drama - 2017, 7 episodes
LGBTQ+, Realism, Community real struggles AGAIN.
Not as great as the first season, by far, it didn't went how i wanted or expected but still a good one.
Some new life hustle trying to find their happiness, new actors new couples...
Sometimes it wasn't supposed to work. Sometimes you can start anew.
Friendship. -
61. Gay OK Bangkok
Thai Drama - 2016, 5 episodes
LGBTQ+, Realism, Community real struggles.
The main couple are hot, good actors, part of the community for real... sad to see them so little on Thai BL.
Back then this was the best kiss scene and chemistry i saw coming from Thailand, now they dropped a bit on the rank but still great none less.
Waited for the second season like crazy, even dropped some coin for the project to come to light. -
62. Gen Y
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
Sometimes we need to know where to stop.
I was sad watching this. They made a whole ass mess here trying to bring back to life something that is as dead as my ancestors.
Let's not talk about Pi Pha, what a shitty love story they made trying to find a new ship for Bass. Is ok for the actor to move on, totally, but they should have made a new character for him, not break into pieces the love story, making our doc a cunt.
This is kinda like if they make a Titanic 2.0 and Rose learns that Jack told his friend that she was a fling and he was about to drop her after they landed. NOPE.
The secondary couple left us with a sweet tooth in 2 moons but here didn't maintain the quality either, still nothing compares to the main ones catastrophe.
i don't really think this was ever a good idea. Let's cast them in new roles an move on. I'll try to forget this. -
63. Go! Go! G-Boys
Taiwanese Movie - 2006
Another old school but Taiwan.
Fun at some point, desperately bad at others.
I remember liking the bottom a lot (is a cutie and a keeper) and not understanding why he was in love with his friend that wasn't exactly a good catch, his girlfriend will testify.
Quite eccentric, the trope trying to win the gay contest have some fun ones. Take it for what it is, a nonsensical ride with many queens. -
64. Going South
Korean Movie - 2012
Expected worse.
Not your typical sweet BL
SPOILER:
They went south... yep ;) -
65. Grounded
Taiwanese Movie - 2018
Decent short.
Could be better but has some good points and an understandable struggle. The scenery is already worth the watch.
-
66. He Says To Me...?
Thai Movie - 2017
An... Ok short.
It fail to get me. There is a bit of cuteness there.
We all been knew about the keys ;) -
67. April Fools
Japanese Movie - 2015
One couple is BL. Very little screen time.
Watched 2 or 3 scenes and we all know witch ones they are.
Fun idea, needed more of them.
-
68. Happy Together
Taiwanese Drama - 2015, 15 episodes
Quite fun. Family/friendship kind of sitcom.
The BL couple is hella cute. They have some ups and downs on the road, some issues to face after a long term relationship.
They are way different and want different things, are afraid of others... and they have to deal with all that common issues.
Enjoyed the drama but i would only rewatch a few cute scenes if so. -
69. He She It
Thai Drama - 2019, 3 episodes
The kiss and their cuteness helped sustaining this ship so they could make Ingredients the series.
This is a bad one, nonsensical, pointless.
Thank god they had a 2 chance. -
70. Ingredients
Thai Special - 2020, 21 episodes
After the He She It failure, i came only for the ship.
The production got better with time, wasn't as keen on the food arc till it grew on me. They are cute together.
Don't expect an intense story, is a fluffy slow burn cute love. The second half of the series is way better if you are struggling to pass the first half.
They are going to act together in KinnPorsche as a secondary couple. The ship is getting stronger. -
71. Better Days
Filipino Drama - 2020, 6 episodes
Is ok.
I don't particularly like their acting or chemistry. The story is cute, childhood friends that meet again and live together during covid lockdown.
When they talked about their past, families and life struggles, expected more but it fell down.
There's not really that much BL, you kinda get the vibes. Bromance with an extra feel. -
72. He's Coming To Me
Thai Drama - 2019, 8 episodes
One of the best series that GMMTV has put out.
The story is what is worth it, but that doesn't leave behind a beautiful OST and great acting from two of the`very best GMMTV actors, Singto and Ohm.
I am not a supernatural stories type of fan, at all, but this is something. The story feels strong, there's weight, deepness, each episode provides more and more insight, and how the love story develops is just... mesmerizingly stunning. Worth every single second. There are some scenes there that alone could outweight plenty of full BL series.
Get your tissues ready, and put the seatbelt in your heart, because this will be a strong ride of emotions. One of those that provides you with a lot of life meaning. -
73. Gameboys
Filipino Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
What a cute, meaningful and sweet ride.
This was powerful. A love that overcomes covid, sadness, loosings, distance...
It starts like a cute basic story of two teens , a new way of sliding in your dms, sliding in your streaming. Yes, during covid season, but as a fun game, playful. jokingly... Till you get to know them, their stories, their actual struggles... and everything is deep, as their love deepens as well.
A BL that it's also a LGBTQ+ story, no lines in between, just how i like it the most.
They are so lovable, charming, honest, sweet... is beautiful to watch.
The acting is great, specially from Elijah Canlas, Philippines has a jewel there.
Kudos for the production team, recording with phones during long lockdowns, actors working from their homes, acting in front of a computer... Superb job.
Side note, i watched this while both my parent were positive and i decided to be with them at their house taking care of them. Everything went ok and 0 symptoms, i didn't got infected. But imagine how this felt then, specially Cairo's story.
More than ready to watch the second season. -
74. I Told Sunset About You
Thai Drama - 2020, 5 episodes
THE MASTERPIECE
No words here will provide enough justice to the greatness of this show. The must watch of the must watch BL and LGBTQ+ series.
I am absolutely flabbergasted, mesmerized... I remember start watching the first two episodes on a row, went to see my family with tears in the eyes saying how i never felt like this watching a show. Because i felt every single thing.
This is one of the most realistic coming of age stories I've ever seen. Is beautiful, has layers, Deepness... You feel what they say, what they don't, what they do, what they don't. You feel every glance, every touch, every breeze, every tear...Every trace on a paper tells you something, the coconut smell comes to you as well, the red color becomes very important, your knee feels a touch.
It has so many deep emotions rooted there that i even felt drained in the most beautiful worth it way possible. Totally rewarding.
The story, the production, the photography, the landscapes, the colors, the way is directed and filmed, the narrative, the acting, the OST... There's no better BL out there. -
75. His - Koi Suru Tsumori Nante Nakatta
Japanese Drama - 2019, 5 episodes
This proves that Japan has more to offer than the old school bittersweet and poorly executed BL.
Is a very cute and realistic coming of age short series, a prequel of the movie. Sort but tasteful, the only issue is that the filler arcs get too much focus and sometimes the point should have been somewhere else.
The sleeping in two futons scene got me through it. I was there, trying to be as quiet as i could, stopping my breath.
I wished the ending had more deepness and soul, that's what lacked to most for me. It needed a bit more there, just 5 more minutes mom. -
76. His
Japanese Movie - 2020
The movie after the short series.
Japan got his shit together after 2018, they are doing great things.
This movie is needed, specially there, is a discourse, is an LGBTQ+ empowerment.
I just felt that i would have appreciated a bit more about their life together from the mid teens after the short series, till he leaves him to have an heterosexual marriage. It would have added a bit more deepness and layers. You can also watch this skipping the series, is not needed to understand the movie, but you would be missing out big time.
Still, this movie is real, important, their story is quite like the weather there, the gloomy sky but calmly breeze, not too hot, not too warm, just right. -
77. HIStory: My Hero
Taiwanese Special - 2017, 4 episodes
The History saga.
A good friend that never fails you... but this one kinda, is just ok. The worst for sure.
I don't really enjoy the swapping bodies arcs, here is even weirder.
There are some cute things and scenes and the top is very handsome. -
78. HIStory: Obsessed
Taiwanese Special - 2017, 4 episodes
And History got better.
This is a toxic love, works for me. They are crazy, obsessed, irrational, powerful and hot.
The acting in the last few scenes... wow. -
79. HIStory: Stay Away From Me
Taiwanese Special - 2017, 4 episodes
My second last favorite from our friend History.
The story is a bit weirdly explained, lacks emotions on the delivery and they don't really feel that much in love.
There are a few nice moments and is watchable. -
80. HIStory2: Boundary Crossing
Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes
This History installment is completed, but it doesn't feel like it. I left it wanting more.
The 2 year of History was an upgrade from the first.
The stories here were good, cute, sweet, the chemistry was there, the acting, the eye candy, the building up, the moments, the butterflies... and the kisses.
I really enjoyed it. Sad that the movie will no longer be done. But happy that we got this good story. -
81. HIStory2: Right or Wrong
Taiwanese Special - 2018, 8 episodes
History coming through once again.
This 2 year was a good one.
This is an age gap story between a divorced uni professor with a daughter and his sweetie pie young student.
The story is nice, well executed, sweet, full of good feelings. They have a good love and finally everything feels right for once when they meet and fall in love. -
82. HIStory3: Make Our Days Count
Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes
History 1 and 2 walked so History 3 could run.
This is the best one. What a meaningful, sweet and sad ride.
Their love is cute as if, and the story and acting superb.
Let's give a proper place to the secondary couple, they delivered and hardly i like both couples equally and feel that they made a fantastic job with both in every sense.
This series has serious doses of lovely moments, great kisses and hot sex scenes. Enjoy.
The stories of both couples feel deep, interesting, with layers, just how it should be. Every character is well built, have their background and you connect with them, see them overcome issues and grow their love. Fantastic acting.
This is the first time that i cry my eyes out for a ball of rice.
I am on the shortest side, the one that loved the sad ending (be warned, ep. 10). The acting at the end is just... outstanding. The way those emotions are portrayed it just breaks you into million pieces.
Is not often when you see this kind of pain and absolute devastation without an ending redemption, a glance of hope. There's none, there's no way. I am in love with how such an inner core sadness was projected and we were able to taste it in all her glory. Is devastating but totally profound. This is the truth and realism of that kind of feelings, if you experienced that before, you know this was you, this will always be you. -
83. HIStory3: Trapped
Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes
History 3 is just it.
Both stories are great, liked MODC better specially because of the ending (call me masochist).
But, even with that, let's just state that this one is unique. A plot not seen yet in BL land.
A police and a suspected criminal, both hot dudes that know how to handle a gun (i saw a hard gun in someone's boxers at some point, you ain't lying there my pal), handcuff each others and fight. It delivered, as it should.
There was also love, deepness, interesting arcs, action, sexy moments...
The secondary couple is so cute and fun as well, the perfect balance for the dark side.
Can i just get any of them or all and a birthday cake? For delivery please. We all know what to do next. -
84. Kare ga Boku ni Koishita Ryuu
Japanese Drama - 2020, 4 episodes
A bit odd.
Knew Yusuke from previous works and he is as expresive and fun as i remembered.
The premise itsef is good, two teachers fall in love. The ejecution is questionable. Everyone is weird there, the father arc is poorly delivered.
The biggest downside for me is that you hardly see their romantic love, there's no much chemistry there.
It has some good, and fun moments so i will try the second season. -
85. Hormones
Thai Drama - 2013, 13 episodes
This is a good teen series that broke many stereotypes and put out there hard to diggest topics.
Is also the first tv show where gay teens are included as a main arc as well, one of the couples. Only for that is a must. Movies like Love of Siam helped for this to be produced and this helped to have Love sick, the actual first BL series.
In some ways it reminds me of a toned down The OC. -
86. Hormones 2
Thai Drama - 2014, 13 episodes
A continuation of the first one.
-
87. I Told Sunset About You The Documentary
Thai Special - 2020, 8 episodes
Worth to watch. For the die hard fans, me included.
-
88. I Am Your King
Thai Drama - 2017, 5 episodes
It lacks on every department. I would say that it's somethig to watch to kill time.
A bunch of early teens that play a card game where someone is a king and is able to tell other to do all kind of things, usually those are making out, wich is nice for us.
Mark did a decent job here, that couple with the crossdresing had some moments, like the bathtube one.
The main couple is a bit strange, friends to lovers but a bf on the side.
The ending is disappointing. -
89. I Am Your King 2
Thai Drama - 2019, 10 episodes
A bit beter than the first one, still badly ejecuted, and bad storytelling and pace of the plot.
This time the card game has less presence, but the scene when it happens is basically 10 minutes of a bunch of dudes kissing each others, pasionatelly but totally weird, like being sucked by a vacuum cleaner and fighting for getting your lips out.
The coupling is complicated and bad thougth as well. brothers liking the same dude, friend liking the friend, boy liked sleepimg with both brothers and changing his mind.
Wouldn't recommend. -
90. I Go To School Not By Bus
Hong Kong Movie - 2015
A cute short about 2 high school classmates that like each other, a comming of age one. The top is handsome as hell, the bottom looks a lot like Xi Gu from History Make our days count.
Is good. Nothing more mothing less. Sweet, take it for what it is. -
91. I Love You As A Man
Chinese Movie - 2014
Is one of those that i don't love but neither hate.
I had a hard time understanging how they fall for each other. But when they have kiss or sex scenes, they are into it, so that´s a plus for me to believing them.
The story is ok, a cool has it all guy and a nerdy one, the sencond is the one that follows the first and tries to make him fall in love, witch is fun and not that common in bl territory.
The family against it plot is not very well done,. -
92. I Love You As A Man: Part 2
Chinese Movie - 2015
Follows where the first part left.
They are together, having a tom and jerry relationship.
They make really hot scenes.
*Goship* : The top here has a huge scandal nowdays. He had a long term gf, aparently mentally unestable. They were contemplating marriage, but things went downhill. She "exposed" that he do drugs and cheated on her with shemales a few times. He said that he didn't do illegal drugs or anything and she lost her shit. Nothing added about the shemaless ;)
Back to the movie, the story is again, not very good, and they have some back and forth a couple of times, jokes misinterpreted... meh.
The worse part is how it ends, and leave us with that horrible clif hanger, no 3rd part. NO. -
93. In Between Seasons
Korean Movie - 2018
This is a sad movie.
They are sweet together, but life for the gays cannot be eassy or happy indefinitely.
I pity both guys here, terrible lifes they have. The endind is half happy tho.
Is a good story, if you are up for a very melo one. -
94. Ingredients Special
Thai Special - 2020, 1 episode
A sweet icing of the cake for this two.
We will see more of this ship in the future. -
95. Irresistible Love: Secret of the Valet
Chinese Movie - 2016
Another melo one with a sad bottom that does it all for the son of the rich family and cool top.
Is has a lot of darkness, their scenes together are hot.The story behind them is good and how they explain their love and grow is great.
-
96. Irresistible Love 2
Chinese Movie - 2016
You are in for an even more melodramatic and way more dark movie than the first one.
They get madly obsesively in love, and now both are willing to do the most for the other, way too over the top some of those may i add.
The ending here is depresing, very, but the alternative ending came to save us all. -
97. Itsuka no kimi e
Japanese Movie - 2007
One of those old school japanese bls.
This was between the ones i liked the most during those eras were there was nothing great going on.
Is interesting because it explores a double personaily person, witch is not usual in bl. The movie itself lacs, but some good things are there, like our main guy with personality disorder! Man how i like him haha
They have a couple cute moments as well, basic but enjoyable if you see it with the mindset of what it is, a very old one were bl was more taboo. -
98. Is You
Thai Movie - 2020
A short not worth it.
The bottom is an egoistic dude and the top a very understanding and patient one.
I can hardly find some things that i like about this, but a long list that i don't. -
99. Junjou
Japanese Movie - 2010
Old school Japan.
Is one of the classics tho. The manga is an institution but this movie is kinda bad, same as the casting and acting.
A reboot wouldn't hurt. -
100. Just Friends?
Korean Movie - 2009
This is a really sweet short film.
So cool that both actors are well known in dramaland, our straigh sister. Here they are very much gay, hot, steamy make out sesion included.
The story is fun and well made, many funny moments as well.
Almost everything i could ask for a short.
