actually good GMMTV BLs

Let's be honest, a lot of GMMTV BLs are either really, really meh, or genuinely bad. I often end up dropping them (often even after less than an episode).

The BLs on this list, however, are good. They might not be the masterpieces of the century, but they were at least enjoyable to watch, had alright acting, and most importantly: non-cringe humor (if you know, you know). Most likely, there won't be many university/high school dramas on here, because I simply dislike them (Also, why are actors over 20 playing high school students. Please. Make it realistic.). I am always open to suggestions :)

This certainly isn't a masterpiece, but I like it way more than expected. It's certainly fun to watch, and not a typical GMMTV university BL.

I have to admit that, contrary to popular opinion, I liked the second half more than the first. The first wasn't bad, but something about Payu icked me so bad. Noeul was very average in this, but shoutout to him for having a massive glow-up recently. I'm excited to watch his next projects. The second half was actually very fun to watch. Was it a masterpiece? Certainly not. But I personally am a sucker for FortPeat (even though they've never had a really good project before, GMMTV is doing them dirty). The plot was kinda refreshing, and yes, I have to admit that I liked seeing a genuinely traumatized character for once. Idk, maybe I enjoy suffering.
Anyway, bottom line is that you're not wasting your time watching this.
3. Not Me

Thai Drama - 2021, 14 episodes

I dropped it for a while and picked it up again. This isn't actually a romance drama in my opinion, which I enjoyed. First OffGun BL for me, and I don‘t hate the ship. Off can act his ass off (pun most certainly intended). I'm really not a fan of First in this, though. The mop hair is doing him 0 favors. This gets pretty dry in the end, which is why it was hard to finish for me, but overall really not bad.
4. Only Friends

Hear me out. I dropped this in the last episode. I actually enjoyed watching this a lot. Once again, not a typical university BL, and the amount of intimacy scenes were definitely not bad, either. Not really a fan of FirstKhaotung in this, but oh well. Also really not a fan of ForceBook in general. I think I'm never actually gonna like that ship, idk, something is just off for me. I personally loved Neo in this. My boy deserves a main role. I dropped in the last episode cause the drama and the actions of the characters were getting tedious, but it was a fun ride until then.
5. The Heart Killers

This is written while only the first episode is out. And what a first episode it was : fkn amazing. First time I'm finding myself loving FirstKhaotung. I was also instantly sold on the plot, and, more importantly, the second couple of DunkJoong. Never seen them before, but I'm in love. I'll keep this updated, but I have high expectations.
