MY Favorite actresses

Those actresses are either clearly gifted, or have portrayed characters in projects that filled me with immense joy or sarrow. Now their mere presence in a show (be it a drama or a movie) gives me a beautiful sensation of warmness and familiarity, as if I am watching a family member. I sometimes would pick a show because they are there

My first kdrama of her was cheese in the trap, I loved her unique facial features. Then I watched "Muse" and "Canola" and just fell for her overall performance. However it wasn't until "Yumi cells" that I realized I was definitely head over heels. I now watch some of her worst projects just because she is in them

  • Lee Bo Young

    Corea del Sud

My first kdrama of her was "I hear your voice" in 2013, through her I felt connected to the world of Kdramas for the first time. Although I sometimes find her stiff in acting, and doesn't use too much facial expressions, I still love her calm demeanor and she rocks "cold hearted", "myseterious" and "melancholic" characters. I absolutely fell for her performance in "Call me Mother".

  • Kim Tae Ri

    Corea del Sud

I think I might be biased with this one, but my first work of her was "The Handmaiden", I was impressed to see a famous korean actress play a queer character and although the movie wasn't my favorite due to various details, I still loved her innocent features and the emotions she conveyed with her eyes and expressions. I then watched "25, 21" just for the sake of her, I fell for how relatable she was as a character. Unlike the perfect female leads in most kdramas, that always have the perfect hair, and look straight out of a Hollywood movie even when they were exercising for hours, her character truly looked like a highschooler. She had imperfct bushy eyebrows, wore baggy clothes, and a peculiar hand watch. It reminded me of my highschool days, which made me connect with the character even more. She was just there, imperfect, and made us observe t her journey as an aspiring athelete with a lot of admiration. Despite the plot holes, and cliche romantic elements in the kdrama, her arc development as a main character was  with no doubt one of the best elements I watched in a kdrama.

  • Heo Yool

Gifted child ! Her performance in "Call me mother" brought tears to my eyes more than once.

  • Lee Jung Eun

    Corea del Sud

  • Kim Sun Young

    Corea del Sud

She is a classic icon, versatile and simply brings a certain warmth to her shows. I love her presence

  • Park So Dam

    Corea del Sud

Top of mind "Parasite", her performance was amazing and her role clearly made her look fascinating because I first failed to realize she was the same actress in "Cindrella and the four knights" (a cliche damsel in distress type of kdrama).
I do think movies really bring into light the true potential of an actor, because compared to kdramas they tend to portray a main character in the most intimate way, and if they aren't good in acting the failure becomes clear.

  • Kim Seul Gi

    Corea del Sud

I found her beauty peculiar, and her smile infectious. She portrays some interesting characters, although for some reason she rarely take a main lead role. I wish she would take in more !
Especially loved her performance in "Oh my ghost"

  • Kim So Hyun

    Corea del Sud

Again, must be biased by her shows I watched when I first got introduced to kdrama. "I hear your voice" and "The suspicious housekeeper", now she feels like a sort of spirit child, that I like watching if the drama is worth it.

  • Ryu Hwa Young

    Corea del Sud

Loved her presence and character in "Age of youth", wished to see more of her but couldn't stand her in "My father is strange" or "Mad dog". I wish they would give her more roles similar to the one in Age of youth, she rocked it

  • Han So Hee

    Corea del Sud

I find her not suitable for roles that portray "clumsy", or "energetic and extroverted" type of characters. But she fits perfectly in standoffish calm characters, with preferebly a heavy past. I loved her performance in "My name", "Nevertheless" and "Soundtrack", but I wouldn't feel enthusiastic to watch her perform in a more diverse genre

  • Ye Soo Jung

    Corea del Sud

She has such a warm smile
