objectively, i see why this is as popular as it is. subjectively, this is not really my cup of tea. so in my opinion, it's just okay. the ending was very satisfying (apart from one little thing that irritates me a bit but alas). was not a fan of the directing, which ruined a lot of aspects for me, but the script and the acting were excellent !

rewatched because i love this movie so much! i just can't get over the fact that we are all such tapestries and every person we ever meet and form a relationship with leaves their own pattern in it, i could not stop crying. also kinu saying she will remember only the fun and beautiful memories is SO TRUE because i think about this movie so often, but rarely do i think about the sad parts. has my entire heart <3

me and li xun got beef because i personally did not enjoy the way he treated zhu yun sometimes especially in those latter, angsty episodes. zhu yun my lovely girl simply did not deserve any of that, she was trying so hard and it made me so sad to see. but other than that MY POOKIES they were so cute together <33

despite the ending’s many many flaws, i cannot give this drama anything less than full stars simply because of the love i have for these characters and for the love they had for one another. i can confidently say that this, along with the lotr cast, is my favourite cast of characters i ever had the pleasure of knowing, i love all of them sososo much!! they are my wonderful girls and silly little guys and i’d die for them. ren ruyi, ning yuanzhou, yu shisan, yuan lu, yang ying, qian zhao, sun lang my loves my beloveds are loved and safe and happy and silly and healthy and together <3 :( so yeah, i am going to kms

it is now my lifelong journey to convince everyone (primarily my sister) to watch this because IT IS SO GOOD i am obsessed with them and the whole story

love watching sad movies whenever i feel sad to let all the tears out of my eyes. i really do love that, but this did more than i asked for i think bc now i cannot feel my eyes and my heart aches so much, who thought this would be okay

they should have been father and daughter. goblin and ji euntak should have been father and daughter. i did not like them as a couple at all. goblin as a girl dad, ji euntak as his daughter and the grim reaper as the silly uncle and this would have been a 5 star drama for meeeeee T^T also i hope i see lee dongwook when i die as well
