My Top 10 Dramas of 2023

This year's top 10 dramas took me by surprise personally. I had slowly compiled a list throughout the entire year but when it came down to it, things I thought would be here aren't and things I didn't expect to be here, are. For one thing, I felt like I was able to watch a wider range of dramas this year in genre - I was really interested in crime, thriller, mystery - as well as getting to see and know actors and actresses I've never seen before. First most being Bo Ah and Rowoon, it wasn't until Destined With You that got me hook on them both. Dramas like The Worse of Evil took me by surprise. Of course I know Ji Chang Wook and Wi Ha Jun would do great, but it was really the plot that had me on my toes. It's interesting because everyone said 2023 was the year of great, 2016 vibe dramas and I must agree. We were blessed with such a wide range of dramas from more serious notes like The Glory or The Good Bad Mother to dramas like Celebrity highlighting real issues revolving social media to comical yet tasteful shows like Doctor Cha to bring in the lightness. Before 2023 wraps,  I think my top 10 dramas this year have all made me shed a tear at least once (or many times) but more so than that the story line kept me entertained and extremely engaged, I was sitting at the edge of my seat, and were either binge-worth or made me have something to look forward to. Notable dramas that will be moved forward to 2024 as they'll be finished airing then that I wanted to keep in mind are My Demon and Welcome to Samdalri.  Notable Mentions This Year   Strong Woman Do Bong Soon  Hotel del Luna 20th Century Girl - heart wrenching, truly  Strong Girl Namsoon - for Ryu Si-o  Doona!  Doctor Cha  Thanks to anyone who reads this - can't wait for what 2024 brings in the world of dramas.
