Not your typical romance
This show is much better than I expected, despite the low ratings and bad reviews, this drama shows another side of life and not all people can accept that. I like the mother and daughter's ending, choosing YOURSELF is still a happy ending. The character development has been great. and I like the chemistry between the first and second couple. We can see their flaws and how they resolve them. The one thing i don't like is the story of aunt minjeong and the tax accountant, i want to see more of their story.Overall, this drama is a cup of my tea. I will definitely rewatch this but I will not recommend it to people who are not fan of this kind of drama.

It was okayyyyyyyyy
I literally only watched this because minho was in it, so i didn't expect much. Supringly, i kinda liked it.I mean, i found myself skipping every scene that the dad was in because he just pissed me off. I hated the fact that he left for 10+ years and expected to be welcomed back into the family. They literally thought he was dead too. The mum was pretty cool. Didn’t really care about her that much either.
I relate to the FL and how she grew up as the
"head of the household" so when she started tweaking, i crashed out 😭 Her character was refreshing. I loved her independence, strong will and how hardworking she is. I loved the ML as well and his relationship with the FL. it was so cute how they trusted each other and stayed together, despite the rumours and all. but the whole celibacy and her not wanting marriage and HIM ACCEPTING is CRAZY. like is that even a relationship ? wasted such a nice couple tbh.
I’m glad the brother voiced out his feelings bc I felt his frustration. I was a bit upset every time he was pushed to the side, and a little disappointed in FL for treating him like an immature teenager (even though he is one).
I loved the CEO dad. I loved that he chose to respect his son’s wishes to go back to taekwondo, respected his and FL’s relationship and was able to separate personal life from work. It was refreshing.
They had such a really good cast and the acting was executed well, considering they barely had anything to work with.

Kdrama suave
Romance in the House não tem um enredo extraordinário — ele simplesmente gira em torno de uma família. No entanto, é um kdrama bem escrito e que narra a dinâmica familiar, destaca suas lutas e crescimento; o relacionamento de Mirae e Taepyeong é leve, são um casal saudável com boas interações e que se comunicam sem desencontros desnecessários. it did kept getting worse , if that’s possibleIt’s like a love triangle between dad/mom/daughter
And that’s cute but so brushed over
Daughter fl and rich hidden son are also so basic with zero chemistry
And speaking of chemistry it’s like the dad and daughter are strangers
He is a horrible dad, money doesn’t change that
And the mom isn’t that much better cuz the daughter carried the husbands place
It’s like she’s the daughter, the mom, the husband and the friend which is a huge burden
So the dad should step up and try to win over his daughter rather than rekindle an old love, he chose to fall in love and marry and fell short in his responsibilities as a husband and a dad, he just wants to be a lover
Like the dad's other relationship added to it all....
Hooking up with their now ironically neighbor, and almost having a kid... like they could’ve legit lived with their own sibling and not know...
Also the mom is right, that relationship is over and only an idiot would think about rekindling a failed relationship
But worse is the neighbor getting excited the mom said she doesn’t want him back, so how will this end? the parents deciding to be "cool" and friends, and he ends up with their "neighbor aunt"?
legit the thing that should’ve happened was to rekindle the relationship with his kids but...

Trailer is the best part of the show
Tailer made it seem like its some looser became gangster made money cam back to win his family. But in reality it was worse than the above mentioned story. It felt like they were trying to go for slice of life genre with comedic and romance element. Comedy was fine and romance was fine between Young Leads/ Children's . But romance between Parents felt like fish out of water even after 12th episode.
Slice of Life is supposed to be relatable, but none of it was relatable to anyone. Lat 2 episodes were rushed to give good ending to every character in the series but first 10 episode was wasted following terrible plot lines which went nowhere.
Overall comedic element will deliver 50 percent of the time everything else false short.

Mellow Family Melodrama
Its a very mellow melodrama where nothing too drastic happens. Was watching some pretty dark series and I picked this to live watch weekly. Its hard to think of how to rate this because in a way its not something to compare to the usual ambitious KDramas as the concept has become. It was a nice weekly SoL TV show on netflix that was relaxing, had enough to keep me waiting for the next week. Almost each character by the end is in a better phase of their lives over the short time and it was really relaxing to watch. The hidden star of the drama is undoubtedly CEO Nam(Jung Woong-in). Every scene with him is great. The Abeoji versus Abeonim scuffle was the best!
One issue I found particularly jarring is the occasional absurd leaps of logic that make it hard to suspend disbelief(the overall tone is grounded+humor, so somethings just don't...make sense?). Every single situation using bait and switch is a another issue storywise but sometimes it pleasantly surprises like the "boomer" boss's talk and the high heel scene. I also love how none of the regular tropes are ever used to give this show a punch because they'd have ruined the consistency(No unnecessary love triangles and no noble idiocy breakup- both of which are so common in kdramas its abnormal and weird I felt relieved simply because it didn't exist). Overall the drama stayed true to its family melodrama theme and a simple personal growth tale for all that didn't stray beyond its premise and resolved all main points. One of the other good points is making each of its main characters a complete individual even if flawed and not conforming to expectations everyone has(but not going overboard; relatable and not changing drastically from their core self) which makes the overall theme a deconstruction of the societal expectations of what families should be like and also of a person's "obligation/duty"(CEO Nam being the best example of someone who was beyond the concept of 'duty' as his family assumes him to be restricted to). Instead of any major messages highlighted or epiphany inducer however its all just, there. Mellow melodrama.
Issue no.3- most characters lack impact. None of the secondary characters(outside CEO Nam and dad's friend Oh Jae-geol) had any real presence. Aunty and dad's friend had a ton of chemistry and could have been given more stories as another middle aged couple navigating life. Jae-geol and landlord's daughter were shown to be separately each in the same hard times as the mom and dad had in the past but their stories were barely there otherwise(Jae-geol's still has some arc with his issues and moving forward) but the landlord and daughter's story resolution was anticlimactic. The younger brother was a non-entity as compared to the family's pet maknae Byeon Medal. His final proclamation about how nobody ever told him anything did resonate with me. However his character was poorly done overall. His character should have brought up situations earlier, issues that only came towards the end and even then barely- the topic of how nobody told him anything was a significant issue(in the beginning they have him say nobody 'asked' his opinion which doesn't point to his issues at all). And it upends the upset when the romanticization of the absent parent stops(he just sounded spoiled because his reaction was to how dad said no and his character wasn't clear at that time at all). Also personally, him and his sister needed to have a proper talk about the issue of college degree and expenses or at least clarify the situation for the audience.

Good Enough
Korean Drama '' Romance in the House '' is a family melodrama with some romance thrown into it.The drama starts out well, with the family dynamics being smooth and working in the story's favor.
However, the drama soon lost its charm and the rest of the plot was a series of random incidents.
Yes, there were some nice moments, especially between the main lead and her mother, but that was it. Also, the romance wasn't strong enough to keep things interesting.
The performances, finally, were good enough.
So, overall, five out of ten.

Its ok.
Pretty basic and nothing life changing. Its supposed to be a comedy and it is really funny at times but the jokes can be over the top and irritating.I liked the premise and loved all the characters it just frustrating to see how shallow and mediocre it was. But it delivers on what you expect and gives you a little more. I liked it and I may revisit it.

Me diverti assistindo.

refreshing!!
same vibes as Not Others, one of my favorite dramas. I loved it, especially the parents' romance was the sweetest little thing. I also like the "lead' couple nonetheless, the chemistry was not really there but their plot was really really cute. overall a nice family drama, had nice plots, character developments, tear jerking moments, interests side characters and finally an original plot! besides not others I haven't found a kdrama mature but silly, so it was definitely what I was searching forQuesta recensione ti è stata utile?

So anti-climatic!!
It started off really strong, good amazing characters potrsyed by talented actors.I could understand and related to each of the characters their feelings and actions. It is a good drama about second chance about the redemption of the family and you see how the separation affected each member of the family differently.Music was great too...catchy songHowever,it was too anti-climatic for me.They were so many themes to be explored. The hair saloonist and the tax accountant ibelieve that would have been an amazing romance. We didnt get to see the reomance of the daughter and the ceo son develop and change. They had no arc in the romance.I felt with such a good story they would have exploited so much and made it intriguing and fun but at the same time it was getting boring and the writing was lazy maybe if they had made it longer it would have be terrible.Good drama though!

It's not that bad, but it's also not the best.
It started well, but Mirae's character became too much that I had to drop it. It's such a shame because I wanted to watch Minho. I also like the parent's story. It was different and would have been beautiful to watch without Mirae's interference. I liked the younger brother although he is immature, he knows his place and allows the parents to solve issues on their own.I would have finished it, but I hated Mirae's character too much that I absolutely could not keep watching.
