Worth Watching
I begin watching this drama since episode 1 and the story become more interesting as the episode goes on. At first, I didn’t understand why Gu Won see humans as insignificant. He make deals with people who are desperate for a wish so they could give him their souls in return (a contract that will put humans in hell) I asked myself, is he really not a villain? He doesn’t care if a parent go to hell wishing their kids to be healthy and fine. However, I realized this is the moral of humans. We humans are selfish and we want something that is out of our control. Gu Won knew the greediness of human Nature so he thinks humans are insignificant.Gu Won became a demon because in his past, he lost the woman he loved… the selfish of human nature being greedy for their lives and sacrifice another. Gu Won had to see her being killed and went rampage.
I understand why Gu Won had to think of humans that way because a villain is not born but created. People might think he is evil because he is a demon but his past made him that way.
I love it when Gu Won recite the Bible verse in episode 15. In the past, he couldn’t get married to the woman he loved because of different status/rank. Falling in love with someone in upper rank could cause you to get killed. This is why the two couple came to love Catholicism (the reason why Gu Won had a cross necklace).
“Everyone is born equal no matter where they come from or what their rank are”
Overall, I enjoy this drama being mystery and triller into it. Both the ML and FL are great actors. Their chemistry and their beautiful faces made the drama more aesthetic and enjoyable. I started to ship these two main leads. Age doesn’t matter <3

My Demon Is A Very Cute And Enjoyable Ride
Hello, this is my first review! Hope I can express myself well and do some justice to this drama. When I first heard of My Demon, I was looking forward to it not only because I found the premise interesting, but mostly because of Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung. After finishing it, I think that although generic and cliché, the drama did not disappoint to deliver according to my expectations.
— STORY
I watched it weekly so that might've helped me go through the drama without any issues like getting boring or feel like it was slowing down. I'm thankful for that because I'm not sure I would've felt the same if I had binged.
Although I enjoyed the drama, the plot wasn't anything new or even great for that matter.
I really enjoyed the series as a whole and only had an issue with one episode. The flow of it felt odd, felt a little rushed and unnatural. I remember it being the only time the music also did not hit properly, not to mention the end of the episode which felt cheap and forced. I won't go into more details as to not ruin expectations.
— CHARACTERS
This is the best part of the drama, by far! I mean specifically Do Do Hee and Gu Won. Their chemistry and characters were so much better than I had ever imagined, they're so sweet together!
Gu Won is such a great and charismatic character. His demeanor and presence were fitting of a Demon! He knows how to be serious when it needs to and how to be hilarious when needed too.
Do Do Hee is extremely charming and mature. I love how she went about handling the issues, and Gu Won. Kim Yoo Jung is not only one of the most beautiful actresses, but one of the most talented as well. Her acting in times of suffering and in times of joy were phenomenal.
Every time Gu Won called her name while looking like a happy puppy, my heart would melt. The way they both looked at each other was everything. Do Do Hee's smile could lit up an entire city block!
About the other characters, I think they fulfilled their part well but it wasn't anything great or worth mentioning.
— VISUALS
From the shots, to the outfits, to the CGI, I believe everything was the best it could be. Everything and everyone looked so beautiful. I have nothing major to complain about and I have not noticed anything that was too off-putting either. Just some odd CGI effects here and there.
— MUSIC
The music was one of the best parts of the show, alongside Gu Won and Do Do Hee. They played the right songs at the right moments (most of the time) and they perfectly helped build emotion as they should. Not only they were beautiful but also very memorable. The opening song is iconic, it's not something you can easily get out of your head or stop yourself from singing it. It's fantastic!
— RATING
My Demon is not perfect or a masterpiece, but it is enjoyable if you know what you want and don't mind some clichés. If you want to have fun and swoon over an extremely adorable couple, this is for you!
It didn't make me absolutely bawl my eyes out like other dramas, but I did get emotional at the right times and that's all I can ask for a good drama. I think the strong part was how happy and in awe I was by watching Gu Won and Do Do Hee together. They're perfect!
My overall personal rating for the show is a 9.4/10.

I Forced Myself To Watch This Fan Service Drama
My 4 categories are Acting/Cast, Writing, Direction/SFX/Music, Entertainment Value.I would have never even started watching this drama on my own. I had a friend who wanted us to watch it together and then talk about it. I warned my friend about what to expect watching a “deity romance” genre Korean drama and I was right. They’re terrible. The only deity romance (that I’ve seen so far) that is actually really good is Goblin.
Acting/Cast: Was there acting in this? Oh yeah, the villains did some decent acting. The female lead was good in the beginning. Everything else was just the leads staring at each other or the side characters trying to act like cartoon characters in order to be funny (and it wasn’t). If this had been the first drama I had seen starring Song Kang (송강), I would have refrained from watching anymore of his dramas in the future. Is he supposed to be a scary, intimidating demon in this drama? Because all I could see was an infant in fuzzy sweaters whose eyes glowed red sometimes. 1/10
Writing: Was there writing in this? Oh yeah, the first few episodes were actually decent. At first, it seemed like a legitimate drama with a plot and its own quirky identity. What happened? I feel like I was tricked. It was as though they only put a lot of effort into those first episodes in order to draw viewers in. It turned into nothing but fan service and a fashion show. The male lead’s character doesn’t make any sense. He has a split personality that changes on a whim to suit the writer’s needs. The female lead was initially intelligent and then became stupid toward the end (what did you expect Do Do Hee? He’s a demon. Well, maybe I can’t fault her too much since even the writers were confused as to how his personality was supposed to be and the stylist kept dressing him like a toddler experimenting with pretty clothes). Even the second female lead went through a drastic change in personality out of nowhere. And of course, we can’t forget the forgettable second male lead. Well, actually we can. (Missed opportunity for a side love story between him and the second female lead.) Oh, and the useless gang members. Why were they in the drama? Most of the side characters were completely unnecessary and had no purpose. The worse side characters were the Aunt-Justin-Austin trio that were only there to be obnoxious. The second worst side characters were the office employee trio that were only there for product placement commercials. What was that ending? (Besides cliché.) So strange. The wrap-up just left me scratching my head. At least it didn’t leave me angry…I guess. 1/10
Direction/SFX/Music: There was one good scene in this entire drama. It was the tango dance scene in the beginning. I actually laughed out loud. The drama seemed to be finding itself. It had this goofy, whimsical, fun, magical vibe. However, it struggled to maintain that identity and instead became a nonsensical cliché-filled deity romance. The SFX was pretty good and in the beginning, there was some clever camera work and cuts that also had a part in giving me some (false) hope that this would turn out to be a decent drama. The OST is not my cup of tea, but not bad. 2/10
Entertainment Value: The first half was ok regarding entertainment value. I thought maybe it won’t be so bad after all. Some viewers were saying it reminded them of Goblin and that this drama had even copied scenes from Goblin. It’s been a while since I had seen Goblin, so I didn’t pick up on that in the moment. Personally, while I was watching this drama, I was reminded heavily of Doom At Your Service and a bit of My Roommate is a Gumiho (Both are bad dramas, yet both are better than My Demon.) I’m kind of shocked that I can’t even think of one redeeming quality that this drama has…hold on...I can do this…ok maybe the SFX? The first 6 episodes maybe? Oh yeah, the female lead is pretty strong and confident…that’s nice to see. Anyway, I remember hitting play to watch episode 14 and in my head I said “I hate this drama” and then I laughed out loud when I realized what I had just thought in my mind. 1.5/10
Overall, I ended up giving this drama a 1.5/10. It at least didn’t make me want to die. If you want to watch a drama that’s like Who’s Line Is It Anyway, where everything is made up and the points don’t matter…except it’s not funny, then this is the drama for you!

This drama leaves me in a state of euphoria each episode<3<3:))
OMG!!! The drama itself is incredible with the perfect story line and the behind the scenes which shows an excellent chemistry between the actors, are also very fun and sweet to watch. Song Kang( Jeong Gu Won ) and Kim Yoo Jung ( Do Do Hee) are such professionals and they execute each and every episode spectacularly! I must also mention the directors , screen writers and the rest of the staff for making it possible for us to watch this so addicting visual drama which is full of emotional, funny, happy, romantic and scary scenes. All the actors did such a good job from the grandmother to the staffs in the office to make this drama a hit for the year 2023! Hwaiting!! I have only good things to say and write about this drama. Hope all of you who are reading this enjoy the drama and for those who have not yet watched the drama, i tell you its not going to be a waste of your time!!! And d for those who have already begun, i think you can relate with me. Let us give lots of love and support !!<3:))Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
PERFECT
I don’t really know where to start. This drama just ended having me bawling my eyes out and smiling like crazy.I’m going to be honest I didn’t think I was going to like it at first. A story line that isn’t really my kinda thing. But when I saw Song Kang it made hope for it being an good series. And oh my it was.
The casting is just chef kiss, is really a cast that I want to see again. They all were so amazing.
The whole series got me laughing and smiling like crazy. I didn’t like think Song Kang would fit this kinda series but with his acting is just a big YES. He played so well and made Guwons character so great. Such a funny and serious character at the same time I loved it. But this series also made my eyes hurt from bawling. Youjung is such an amazing actress and you could really feel all her emotions from the start to the end.
The chemistry between the two were amazing.
Not just the romantic side of this drama we’re amazing but the dark side. Such a dark side of a romantic series. But I really liked it having one, it made it become more interesting.
And like I really thought about SangYi character being evil? But he weren’t.. I really had like a theory that he were but I’m legit happy he wasn’t. Maybe he wasn’t my favourite.
Overall it was a really good series. A lil bit of everything. Such a good drama and 100% worth the watch!

When Sacrifice is the Tie that Binds
This is a very cinematic drama. It has the thrill, romance, comedy and heartache all in one. The ML and FLs chemistry was palpable and enchanting. The second couple was amusing and capable within their roles. The villians almost brought a 'Friday the 13th' vibe to the series. Yet the pace and tension of it all kept you wanting more. It was refreshing to see both of these leads with a good script 'finally' with great delivery. The tenderness within this series was just right. The OST was perfect in capturing key moments. The concept has been done before.... Nevertheless, this was worth the ride and a must watch. Well Done, Song Kang, Kim Yoo Jung, Production, Cast and Crew!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

Why do people like it so much?
Idk if its just me but I feel like this show is so cliché? It's like every other kdrama.Maybe it's just because I don't like predictable shows but I feel like the plot had so much potential but they used it wrong, I mean you have a literal demon ml and a strong independent fl. Yet when the fl sees the ml there's a romance song playing in the background and it's all in slowmo💀 Why do these strong characters start acting so empty in the head when they see the ml?
Not the mention in ep 1 while she was getting chased, she stopped running? had an entire monologue? had a conversation with the ml and the guy still hadn't caught up to her? how on earth does that work. I could express more things I didn't like too but I think it's just how predictable this plot is that I don't like and the fact that the characters could have had so much more potential.
I also don't watch romance much but the romance shows I've liked the most are the ones more about the plot than the romance.

Good fantasy romance with electrifying chemistry between leads .
My review will be a comprise of what I liked the most and the least about My Demon:✅️ As a fantasy enthusiast, I loved the fantasy aspect in this drama. A demon who really use his superpower even it is just for small things like switch on the lamp or help in housekeeping lol.
☑️ I enjoyed most part of the storyline especially in the first half. The first 10 episodes was interesting and addicting enough to me. But things got draggy from episode 11 - 13 I started to skip alot especially side character's story . At this point , I find myself didn't care at all about the secretaries love story & Jin Ga Young plot line. The main couple scenes also became too cheesy for me to digest haha. Thankfully things started to get better when the angst part came again in episode 14 till the end. Those last 3 episodes were a total tearjerker to me .
☑️ Average villain plot line .Nothing you have not seen before in a crime and family feud based drama.
✅️ The chemistry between Kim Yoo Jung -Song Kang was sooo lit! The eye contacts, skinships, how comfortable they acted around each other, all the jokes and teases ... Like they're really in love with each other. I'm not surprise if later we get a dating news of them haha.
✅️ Acting from all cast were good. I've first known Kim Yoo Jung as a child actor in Dong Yi . I liked her acting in that drama then I watched her in Moon Embracing the Sun , May Queen , Angry Mom & Love in the Moonlight. Watching her here made me think my girl has grown up , how fast time flies . Now she's eligible to get her own bedroom scene too lol. Anyway I enjoyed her acting all the same here. I could feel all her agony, sadness and her crying scenes made me cried with her too . Her young age & youthly visual to play a 28 years old Do Do Hee does not bother me much here because her great acting concealed if not all most of it. About Song Kang ,this was my second drama of him after Sweet Home. He didn't impressed me in that drama but I quite enjoyed his acting here. He did a good job in potraying a playful, cheeky and self-absorbed demon but very protective of a girl he likes. His great visual did help compensating what fell short from his acting lol.
✅️ Great OST. My favourites : True -YOARI and Say You Love Me - Sam Kim.
⭕️ My ratings for episode 1 -10 & 14-16 = 9/10 and episode 11 -13 =5/10.My final rating = 8.5/10.
I'll end my review with my favourite quote from the drama , " You humans love to blame fate for everything. But, fate is nothing more than a web woven by a myriad of choices of your making. " - Lady Beggar .

Kim You Jung, estou obcecada por você

casting director & stylists saved the day
the story was compelling in the beginning, and i was OBSESSED initially. but then....oh well.the leads being a stunning couple was the e
best part of the show. (I'm sorry, but my bro song kang still can NAWT act very well😭 he's better in non romance dramas imo.) regardless, him and KYJ had amazing chemistry imo, aside from some of the v cringy lines the writer included for whatever reason, the two's chemistry carried the whole show. i started watching the drama for kim yoojung, and she did NOT disappoint. she somehow looked even prettier thanks to the amazing stylists. same to song kang, who i actually never realized was so handsome but damn the stylists really went tf off in this drama.
unfortunately, this and the great osts+visual effects are the only good parts. the story went downhill every episode tbh. gah damn the writing was so ass, and clearly with a LOT of borrowed elements from other dramas like Goblin😭
they did not have to do sm to hide who the villain was at first to just grand reveal it to be the most obvious villainy dude💀 no seokmin was the big bad guy? really? people literally overlooked him and thought it would be someone else as hr was such an obvious choice that no one would've ever been surprised...but damn. like um, yay for the lack of creativity?
what was the point of the first creepy assassin dude hired to
go after dohee? could've just shown no do-gyeong in disguise
(masked like the SGBS villain maybe?) carrying out no seok-min's tasks. it would have made do-gyeong's character more impactful. or hell, even seokhoon being evil like everyone else was guessing would've been better than the introduction of a completely new character who dies out randomly and has no other part.
wish the side characters like perilla leaf gang and the secretaries had more useful roles. tho the gang stuff was actually pretty funny at first, it could be better. the secretary romance could've been MUCH more as ms shin had past trauma about relationships, so it could have been very emotionally impactful if her relationship with bokgyu actually developed in a better way. But naw. it was just cringy.
i liked what they did with star jin at the end, the angel arc, but kinda wish that was dohee ngl. if star jin's character was completely removed from the show, it actually wouldn't change anything storywise. i think the whole "dohee's dad signing a contract w guwon and saving her life" plot was actually extremely unnecessary. it was interesting af when introduced, but they didn't make good use of it. poor dohee was yet again tortured mentally and emotionally, and then the inevitable breakup(ah, the return of the noble idiocy trope) which lasts like less than half an episode until they're back again(and then guwon leaves AGAIN goblin style and then comes back again in less than half the ep like girl😭😭😭 ). wtf was the point?
then the repetition of the past lives stuff from wolshim's pov. it added the "he saved me" part sure, but was mostly just recycled from guwon's flashbacks so stuff we had already seen. like, was all of this really necessary? we get that yall have a save each other trope going on, but damn they alr saved eo like a thousand times even without all these, like WE UNDERSTAND😭
they should've just chosen either the past lives stuff or dad's contract stuff tbh. or imo just made dohee that little girl instead of star jin, which would've been smmmm better as the dad would sign a contract anyway and she could've been able to be adopted by madam ju anyway if just a few tweaks were made to the story yk? but naw they aint doing that.
let's get to episode 15. oh god, the worst episode.
i think a better way to go about this would've been if seokmin, after reading the demon manual, realised that he just needed to kill people and then commit suicide for him to turn into a demon.
then it would've explained his invincibility because how tf did this ordinary ass guy get thrown against a wall with enough force to crack all his bones, get crushed by part of the cement ceiling, yet still somehow get up fine, run that far, grab his gun and shoot all within a few seconds of dohee and guwon hugging???and why didn't guwon just.....stop the bullet? if dohee had enough time to react and turn around to protect him, im sure guwon did too?
not to mention HOW THE HELL DID SEOKMIN SURVIVE THE
FALL FROM THAT TALL ASS TOWER? even if it was a river, there's barely any chances of survival as hitting still water from that height is like hitting concrete. plus he just set his damn face on fire and didn't even react???????? be so fr is the immortal powerful demon guwon or seokmin??
the writers really lost the plot after guwon got his powers back. i wish they'd just have wrapped it up there and not drag it on for 16 episodes and ruin the show like...
anyway, i LOVE yoojung in general (loved her in 20th century
girl!) + her w song kang is cuteee, so I stuck with the drama and enjoyed it a lot initially. this is sad, because i was lowkey emotionally attached to this and looked forward to every friday and saturday because of it. even tho i had a lot of negatives to say, i still liked it enough and i feel bad leaving a negative review. but i think i only liked it because of yoojung. if the leads were different, tho.... would've never finished it

A wonderful journey from hell to heavenly love.
I am not a regular K drama viewer anymore so I cannot say this dama was a cliche type of drama. It was recommended by a friend so I decided to watch it since there appeared to be a lag in good dramas during the Xmas period. I was pleasantly surprised at the content and I just enjoyed every minute of each week. The storyline brought me back to savor the progression of the relationship and the consequences of their polar opposite that attract circumstances to overcome. Visually the drama was outstanding and the stylist did a great job on all of the characters something that always irks me when a CEO or financially privileged character is dressed like they were shopping in a bargain basement. This was not the case throughout the drama and it added to appeal. The acting: Superb and worth a high rating. The chemistry was just HOT HOT HOT between the leads and their interactions were natural and did not feel forced. The secondary couple was cute and the actors that laid roles that were not the most appealing in the character they played had a compelling joy of contrasting evil vs good. Overall the FL and ML complimented each other which made this drama very satisfying to watch. Perfect casting. Excellent scriptwriter. CGI and Cinematography were all visually pleasing.
The music -- I was not distracted by music so it was fine and was not overdone or inappropriately injected into scenes as to make the viewer annoyed.
Rewatch value: Would rewatch since it was 16 episodes not binged. Some characters would be more enjoyable to watch the second time around -- the ML and FL assistants; the "gang members" the family members and their acting and roles. Very entertaining drama and I would recommend it to any viewers who enjoy love stories, push and pull situations, and overall pure romance situations throughout the 16 episodes (drama was appropriate length) -- no dragging or fillers.
