The Good Bad Mother é uma preciosidade.

At the center of the drama is a cast that delivers performances brimming with authenticity and depth. Natural Parent-child relation reflected through an exceptional writing
Resentment can run deep. Human emotions are complex and in this game of survival of the ‘richest’ and ‘powerful’, it is these abstract and intangible emotions that often suffer. You can choose to go with the flow or swim against the tides. Either way, there will be consequences. The new Korean show, The Good Bad Mother, is about these emotional sufferings and a chance to pause, reset and reconnect. The initial episodes of The Good Bad Mother establish the backstory of our protagonist. Although focused primarily on the relationship between Young-soon and Kang-ho, The Good Bad Mother’s biggest strength is its writing supported by extraordinary performances by Lee Do Hyun and Ra Mi Ran. The duo share a great understanding onscreen. Lee Do Hyun is a chameleon. Just a month back, he left viewers bewitched in The Glory and now, as a cold-hearted prosecutor, he is flawless. Ra Mi Ran is a delight to watch. Her switch from turning a ‘bad’ mother to being vulnerable is heart achingly beautiful.
The secondary but an integral part of the drama, Kang-Ho as a lawyer seeking justice for his father's death is an exceptionally written piece as well. Although he justice was served in the ultimate episode of the drama, it could have been more enticing. But nonetheless, The Good Bad Mother perfectly balanced a parent-child relation and a son's attempt to bring justice for what he and his mother were deprived of.
My Rating : 8.5/10

The Bad Mother Is Really Good
Wow, what a great drama to watch. Another award winning performance from Ra Mi Ran, the Good Bad Mother. I loved the maturity of this drama's storyline which hit many emotions and I looked forward to every episode with great anticipation. Lee Do Hyun who played the son Kang Ho is no slacker too. The son who made plans to revenge the people that killed his father and revenge the pain that caused his mother who took out her fear and anxiety onto him. Their performance as mother and son was so on point, at times, I forgot they were just acting.I am glad that even with such intensity of the content, the drama still delivered when it came to romance. Kang Ho's relationship with his childhood first love Mi Joo had substance and their love and chemistry was delightful to watch. Not to forget mentioning all the good neighbours, delightful children and even a Canadian pig farm helper Andrea all made the drama a true classic.
I cried a bucket, I laughed a lot, I detested the bad guys, I eagerly awaited to see how Kang Ho would nail them, I loved the bond between mother & son, Son & girlfriend, neighbour & neighbours and found Ye Jin's crush on her Oppa Kang Ho so cute.
A classic drama in my books. Highly recommended.

Lee Do Hyun
Some Vincenzo and CLOY vibes but at the same time a melodramatic ambiance that will wreck you. I laughed really hard and cried even though I prefer when crime shows are dark and when slice of life doesn't have crime like, pick a side imo. Still I enjoyed the little village life and the deepness of traumas and family issues.I thank the writers for giving us a characters with physical disability. As someone who had to sit on a wheelchair after health problems, it was surprisingly comforting to see a kdrama actor in this role, especially Lee Do Hyun. His acting and portrayal of Kang Ho is so touching. I liked Sam sik and the kids so so much.
Overall, I preferred the first half of the drama more focused on the inner feelings of characters, I lost a bit my interest with the revenge thing at the end but the cinematic was cool.

I was expecting something more
This is one show that I am not sure how I want to rate it because objectively, it's a well-made show. But, subjectively, it just didn't resonate with me like I thought it would. So, I am going to quickly list my pros and cons about the show and put more thoughts below.PROS
- Outstanding acting performances from cast
- A promising premise for a show
- Loved the humor included to offset the more emotional moments
- The episodes didn't drag and the series didn't overstay it's welcome (in other words, it was the right amount of episodes/time length)
CONS
- To me, the story wasn't as strong as I thought it would be
- There was an unnecessary character in the series that I feel wasn't needed at all
- The development of the story line involving the "villains" wasn't fleshed out enough for me and the mother's justification for the treatment of her son didn't work for me either. It only made me more frustrated at her. The development of the healing arc between the son and mother felt disjointed to me even after finding out everything at the end of the series. The villagers didn't really interest me either but they made me laugh. I'll give them that.
Lee Do Hyun and the twins were truly the highlight of this series for me if I am being honest. If they weren't included, I don't feel like I would rate the show what it is now. Every time they were on the screen, they put a smile on my face due to their acting, delivery, and overall performance in the show.
The show's premise is promising focusing on the healing journey between the mother and son and I was excited from watching the trailer so I went into this drama very excited. The first few episodes grabbed me but from then on, I started to feel meh about the story lines and the direction that the show was going in. I wanted this show to have that spark that grabbed me and left me wanting more but for most of the series run, I wasn't really feeling it.
I could see why people do love this show immensely because it includes some outstanding performances from well-known actors, has some teachable life lessons, and like I said earlier, is an objectively well-made show but it makes me sad to be more of a negative nancy and say that I didn't enjoy it like I thought I would but can appreciate what it aimed to do.

Wish I could give it a higher score, the acting is amazing
The motivation of the son for his actions seemed too hurtful and unreal, the sometimes misguided treatment of the mother, actually more realistic. The village characters were mainly well drawn, if often a bit over the top in their reactions
The last 2eps were very simplistic, can anyone forgive that amount of hurt with no resentment at all? The twists and turns of why what was done just a bit too convoluted for me,
I am sure the ML actors will be up for awards this year, and the child actors were a highlight.
It's an entertaining watch on the whole,

Good Enough
Korean Drama " The Good Bad Mother " is a family melodrama. The drama has a bittersweet story, with many twists and a lot of emotional scenes. The mystery-criminal case was a nice addition to it as well, as it kept things interesting when the melodrama started flaking.
But the highlight of the drama is its performances. The two main leads, especially, were great at handling their characters, with their chemistry supporting the melodrama. The rest of the cast did a good job as well.
And even though there were some eye-rolling tropes, the all-around result was quite satisfying and the comedy element was smooth.
So, overall, eight out of ten.

Go for it
I loved this dram and everything about it I loved it.This drama made you compelled to think that why was the male protagonist doing so ? Is he actually become wrong person because vengeance ? Why was he doing wrong ? Definitely he was going to regret ? May he has the negative role ? Then why was his mother so cruel with him ? Sometime I thought that he was doing correct to ignore his mother because she was cruel with him all the time so sometime I thought that he should not behave with his mother like this. All the answers of my questions was get in the last few episodes . They way gradually all my answers I was getting, it made me connected with drama. I love the chemistry between the leads . I wanted to see their marriage and their happy life.
All the actors were good .
Go for it .

Chorei horrores
A série é muito bem construída, chorei horrores. Me prendeu bastante, e é extremamente densa.
