As metáforas são muito boas e reflexivas

O enredo deste K-drama se passa no escritório de uma das filias do banco KCU e acompanha as histórias de quatro personagens. Dizem que ficou muito a desejar como tentaram mostrar o realismo de como é sentir as emoções de cada um dos personagens. Talvez um pouco, mas com os 4 principais, onde os caminhos se cruzam, traz o sentimento de como é estar tentando fazer de tudo por amor, até onde conseguimos ir por alguém. Até onde vamos? O quanto isso pode doer se arriscar assim, certo?

Pois se jogar em relacionamentos, não é algo fácil e de vez enquanto a casos em que insistimos mesmo que lá no fundo sentimos que não seja certo, que não é aquilo que queremos de fato. 'Investimento de Risco' trás tudo isso entre os personagens, Com Sang-Soo e Soo-Young, O policial e rica da Min yeong, todos dando de tudo para darem certo, mas no final ao experimentar as complexidades de relações seguem caminhos diferentes quando tentavam de tudo e para manter seus empregos intactos a todo custo, se investindo tudo.

O dorama trás reflexões com metáforas simbólicas, que facilmente conseguimos pensar sobre nós mesmos dia nossa vida, E nos sentimos próximos ao personagem as suas emoçõesm, o que me atraiu muito foi essa proximidade e a sensação humana para o dorama, algo mais pé no chão.

Denso e dramático

Este é um dorama que foge da linha usual. Vale aqui um aviso para aqueles que procuram um rom-com levinho: este não é um deles. Muito denso, mais lento que o normal e com enorme tensão e carga emocional. Para entender as atitudes dos personagens, que à primeira vista são levianas e incoerentes, é preciso assistir mais de uma vez a série e vê-la com os olhos e sentimentos de cada um deles. Cada gesto, reação e fala dos personagens têm significados importantes para a compreensão do enredo. As últimas cenas, por mais que pareçam que encaminham para um final aberto, dão pistas claras que não. Pela resposta do ML, "Nada, absolutamente nada", indica que os dois finalmente se encontraram curados e amadurecidos e estão prontos para se amarem e procurarem a felicidade futura juntos. A lição que fica: a vida é cheia de arrependimentos, por isso devemos em certos momentos ter a coragem de dizer ou fazer algo pela nossa felicidade.

It's a strangely compelling story about broken people failing MISERABLY at relationships

I think the dichotomy in the reviews say it all, people either hated it or loved it. It didn't really leave people indifferent.

I imagine a lot of people were put off by the gap between what the series is and the expectations. It's not a rom com, it's not a comfort slice of life, it's not an ensemble series, it's not even a Makjang full of twists. It's not even really a love story, neither a realistic nor an idealized one, though maybe you could say it's a story about relationships, about how some people just can't make it work due to their shortcomings.

It relies a lot on execution: on the cast, on the direction, on the photography/cinematography, on the consistency... But here is the thing, it does work.

So you end up with a series about characters who self-sabotage, who lack the courage needed to make relationships work, who'll pick the easy path over the right one more often than not, who drown when life hits them without apparently even attempting to fight back, all in all quite gloomy and frustrating things, except you're inevitably pulled in as it's executed well enough to make you feel all the (often dark) emotions. It's easy to feel upset almost every time the characters make a decision because most of them will predictably give them pain, yet they still do it without breaking the willing suspension of disbelief. Characters are bad, but they can be strangely compelling and engaging; and ironically enough are consistent even in their inconsistency and lack of decisiveness.

I think if you can't handle it or really dislike the themes, then you're going to hate the series like crazy as a result. But if you're watching series for the emotions, good and bad, then I think it can be a pretty good watch.

It's kind of like watching the Titanic; yes it's pretty, but you're still watching a ship inexorably heading towards the iceberg, with very avoidable, very tragic results.

I'll admit it's slow, but stick with it.

I will admit this k-drama isn't the best in the world, but it's also not the worst. There are a lot of good things about the show which keep me going back to it every week.

IMO the strongest point of this show is the story. I love that it is character driven. There's nothing flashy about this show. It relies on the strength of the story, and performance of the actors. This show is the slowest of slow burns so if you aren't into that sort of thing you should probably look into something else. I'm up to date with the show (only 12 episodes have been released so far) , but the slow pace is starting to pay off. There was a twist at the end of episode 12 that I didn't see coming at all. Now I can't wait to see what happens next.

The strength of the show is also the weakness. The story (while good) is told at a very slow pace. For example, it wasn't until episode 10 that story of the show made me believe the ML and FL actually had feelings for each other. I became invested in the characters, but you definitely have to be patient.

All in all this is a good show IF you are willing to stick with the extremely slow paced story telling.

Don’t waste time

One line of story been dragged so much with unnecessary twists and turns. I only watched 4 episodes completely and now only the last few seconds of preview with a little hope of the drama being interesting. But unfortunately no. Acting no doubt but without proper story what’s the point of so much efforts. DONT WASTE TIME!

Slow burners story

The lead cast of the series includes Yoo Yeon Seok, Moon Ga Young, Geum Sae Rok, and Jung Ga Ram, and in the supporting roles are Moon Tae Yu, Oh Dong Min, Jung Jae Sung, Park Hyung Soo, Yoon Yoo Su, Seo Jung Yeon, Lee Hwa Ryong, Yang Jo Ah and Park Sung Geun.
This show is so special, The writing of the show seems cliched with the character arcs based on particular prototypes. A bank employee who is unable to express his love, a girl who acts indifferent and the sheer awkwardness between the two. For me i like slow pace romantic show and i like the main lead for her i will this watch this show 😅

Who will end up with who?

Nice cliffhanger for episode 8. Can’t wait til next week. Through the first 8 episodes I have enjoyed the drama. It seems that male and female leads are destined to be together but circumstances seem to keep them apart. Now they are both pretty deep into other relationships. ML1 is with what appears to be the ultimate catch, but it is all too obvious, except to her, that he is not all in. I almost feel sorry for her as I see her getting hurt once the ML lead’s true feelings become known. He was too weak to rebuff her advances, but if he did, we wouldn’t have this great dramatic conflict. FL1 is with the ultimate nice guy, but do you feel their spark? I don’t.
It’s hard to read FL1. She seems like someone who has it all together on the outside, but torn on the inside. I think she goes with the flow, which resulted in the relationship she has with ML2. Of course, they could make it together, but we all know she belongs with ML1.
Overall, so far, another great drama. Can’t wait to see what lies ahead. Will comeback after show complete for an update.

This would have to be the worst ending ever in a Korean Drama

I only continued to watch this till the end, because of Yoo Yeon Seok and Tae-yu Moon . The rest of the cast is below average. (I guess it not their fault - absolutely terrible writing/directing) Half way through the show I asked myself if the writer would serioulsy pick up their game at one point with this love story . Unfortunatley this was been DRAGGED OUT to an absolute nothingness to say the least. Moon Ga-young with her BLANK stares and maddening silence is beyong comprehension. When they ask each other all those ridiculous questions and then answering with another question, almost the whole time? How totally ludicrous can they be? If that is how adults communicate with each other these days , one has to wonder about the existence of logic and common sense.
Maybe it can be salvaged by a 2nd season where the couple actually get together. I gave the 5 stars acting for the two male actors I mentioned.

Don’t waste your time

It had a really good leading story in the beginning but it just starts to get boring after each episode… oh gosh. I had to skip many parts. So just don’t waste your time on this drama, for real.
It’s a very slow drama, with very good actors though, however, the story is just not good.
They would stare at each other for a few seconds so many times, which gets boring after some time so I had no option, I had to keep skipping some staring parts.
I feel like she was very toxic and just drags everyone around her down. I felt so bad for him in the whole drama.

Not Good Enough

Korean Drama " The Interest of Love " is an office melodrama.

The drama is heavy when it came to the melodrama of the romance, with messy relationships and complicated heroes that didn't express their feelings to each other, often leading to frustrating situations. Hence, the story was boring and tiring to watch. The characters were annoying too, especially the main female lead who was all over the place.

The performances were, on the other hand, good enough, with the actors and actresses handling their characters nicely.

The pace was okay as well.

So, overall, three out of ten.

STRONG start, BORING ass middle and LAME ending

I loved the first episodes; they provided a great set up for a very promising ride. The office setting, the jerks, the gossipy tellers, the asshole boss with a double life, the intricate main characters, and above all the social class and status being a very important aspect, it almost felt like another character in itself. In short, this series had everything going for it, especially the angst.

So what happend? Shallow writing that's my guess.
Midway I realized that the writer decided not to dig deep into the characters’ lives and just stay on the surface. What was interesting about the main characters at first became irritating.

If you want the viewers to do the work please give us a bigger taste of the meat, just like in LOST, it challenged the viewer in a very powerful way, by not shying away from very profound emotions, difficult situation and ultimate despair. That series was slow and silence was a big part of the whole, but it never felt like the characters stared at each other endlessly or spoke in an unnatural slow speed just because.

In TIOL silence was just empty, we as viewers weren´t challenged instead we were asked to be patient and imagine a whole world just by looking at the main characters face, especially the FL´s wide eyed face. In the early episodes her face was intriguing, but at some point I didn´t know what to do with it. Was she being surprised, annoyed, embarrassed, worried, grateful, flirtatious, sad, happy…? I asked myself what does it mean, what is she thinking... Soon after a few episodes I gave up… when i realized that perhaps there was nothing there. I felt tricked into believing that there was more than meets the eye.

So, what am i left with? The one-sided love story of our ML which was done masterfully by the actor? If so, is not enough for a 16 episode series, if that´s all there is. This series in my opinion lacks content, lots of it to put it blunty. I haven´t seen the final episode, but I doubt that I´ll get all what it is missing in that one last episode. I hope I´m wrong and if I am, I´ll come back and update my review.

I still recommend this series, the production value is high, the acting is excellent, the directing choices not so much, the writing is lacking especially midway onwards.

Pior série que já assisti - Horrível

Essa foi a PIOR série que já assisti. Gosto muito de assistir séries asiáticas, principalmente as coreanas pelo desenvolvimentos das personagens e pelo aprofundamento das relações entres os protagonistas principais.
Contudo, nesta série o que se vê é uma protagonista feminina (Moon Ga Young) extremamente irritante e cheia de traumas pessoais infundados que atrapalham a vida dos outros personagem a ponto de serem irracionais suas atitudes, totalmente anacrônicas.
No início eu até me interessei pelo drama, mas já no 2 episódio eu notei que não seria uma boa série, mas continuei pelo meu senso de completar e concluir o que eu começo a assisti, mas foi uma PERDA DE TEMPO.
Foi o primeiro drama que assisti com a Moon Ga Young, mas confesso que agora estou com medo de assistir outro drama com ela, para não cai na mesma cilada e ter que assistir uma série ruim novamente.
