100% Recommended!! Incredible cast, storyline and brilliant plot execution ( An early stage review)
I WANTED TO BE THE FIRST TO REVIEW THIS SO BAD xD( tho i 100% sound so immature)This has undoubtedly been the most awaited series this year and I was so excited for it that I watched all three episodes right at release time and I have to say, it certainly DID NOT disappoint. I think that the show's lineup of actors Ji Chang Wook and Wi Ha Jun is pretty interesting because the plotline of this drama seems like its mixing together Ji Chang Wook's ambitious, tenacious character and Wi Ha Joon's somewhat sweet but a psycho character from their previous works really perfectly. And ofcourse their acting in this show is just AMAZINGG and so coooooooooooool.
It gives me the vibes that I got from flower of evil and little women- that whole "Turned bad to survive in a cruel and unfair world" feeling if ya'll get what I mean.
Don't want to spoil anything much for anyone but I'll just say that this seems like a very promising drama at its current stage and if you liked tv shows like Flower of evil and Little women this is a must recommend as this tv show also shows a lot about how the real world is and how it changes people in a very raw and realistic manner.
It's a representation of how some "bad" people just ended up in that place trying to protect what's dear to them whether its their friend, family or even their dignity.
I hope my rating for this show stays 10/10 till the end ;)

LOVED IT
This kind of drama with thrillers, suspense, violence & action is what I watch most. I used to watch the Mexican & Colombian Narco-Series, which had many episodes & seasons. This is the first K-Drama I've watched that includes violence. I enjoyed it a lot.Nobody is a Saint here. If you're a saint, this job isn't for you.
Park Joon Mo is a police officer. He is arrogant, has a lot of attitude & also cunning. His fighting between right & wrong. His hurt face whenever Jung Ki Chul mentions his wife & insults him. Ji Chang Wook was awesome in this drama, he killed it with his performance.
Jung Ki Chul is a drug dealer. He is smart, not like other gangsters who are always temperamental and don't use their brains. He calculatively takes his next steps. It's a pity that his this kind of move faded in the end. Wi Ha Joon did a phenomenal job. Loved his acting. First time watching him & he left a good impression.
Jung Ki Chul & his friend's brotherhood, loyalty ended because of power-hunger & money. I didn't like how his friends used to address him as 'Sir' when they were all partners. I think this is the biggest reason why their friendship turned out like that in the end.
Yoo Eui Jung is an elite officer who is related to both of them. She doesn't have much of a scene time. I mean her betrayal affected Jung Ki Chul the most. But without her, the story would've been the same.
Loved Lee Hae Ryeon. I didn’t know it was BiBi. Her acting is good.
Loved Park Joon Mo & Lee Hae Ryeon. Their kissing scene uff. She ate him.
Love Jung Ki Chul walks with his gang. So classy & stylish.
The fight they had in the narrow alley with other gang members is also my favorite scene.
Discomfort between Park Joon Mo & Yoo Eui Jung after seeing each other with someone else.
To the length of madness, Park Joon Mo went in episode 9. It was crazy but also awesome.
Lee Hae Ryeon & her bodyguard relationship & what he did for her at last.
I wish Park Joon Mo & Yoo Eui Jung had talked to each other about all of this in the end, then it would've been better. I mean they won't go back to being what they were, but at least talking would've helped even if it was about a breakup.
Loved the execution of fighting scenes.
If you're okay with violence & narcotic stuff, then give it a try. You may like it.

Perfectly-crafted, Soul-shattering!
This drama is fabulous, as a fan of thrillers I approve of it very easily. But it could have some modifications (only a little, but a little is still important).Let’s break the aspects down one-by-one;
Story: The story was creative, although the core plot is not new. I mean we all have seen one such story before where a cop goes undercover to join the criminals and ends up sympathizing for them. But in ‘The Worst of Evil’ however, it doesn’t quite follow the same plot. it’s unique in its own way. Overall it’s great. I have one question though; in the last episode, it was clear that both Euijeong and Junmo had a soft-corner for Gicheul, proven by the fact that Junmo let him go and didn’t arrest him and Euijeong constantly telling him to stop doing bad things.
Then why did Junmo had to shoot him? I get that he was trying to stop Gicheul from killing himself so that Euijeong gets saved from the guilt of being the reason behind his death, but couldn’t he just shoot him in the leg or something to prevent his suicide? I don’t know, maybe I’m dumb but couldn’t it be simpler?
One of the reasons behind it might be that although Junmo liked Gicheul, he was blinded by the fact that he was his wife’s past-lover who was still in love with her, and Euijeong also obviously had feelings for him. So in the conflict of emotions, he might’ve decided to kill him.
The ending was very bittersweet, but all the characters received their closure so I was pretty satisfied.
I think the general idea of this drama is that the worst form of evil is deceiving somebody. As everybody in the story had deceived somebody in their life, nobody really got their happy ending. The story was well-crafted to show this.
Cast & Acting: One of the sole reasons behind starting this drama was Wi Ha-joon for me, so that pretty much tells you how well the actors did their job. This was the first time I saw Ji Changwook act, and man did he eat the role up. He was so good at it. Casting didn’t have any issues, all the actors did a great job. Bibi? Man how can she act so well as somebody who isn’t originally an actor? It’s a boon to be so versatile, really. She was awesome.
Soundtrack: It’s a webseries, a thriller one on top of that, so it doesn’t really have your typical kdrama OSTs. But the soundtrack was good, did the job for making the scenes more effective and creating an overall impact.
So, that’s about it. That is what I felt about this drama. It was a great watch for me, and I would recommend it to everyone looking for a good traumatizing thriller.

The Worst of Evil: A Dark and Gritty Crime Thriller
The cast is excellent, with Ji Chang-wook and Wi Ha Joon delivering standout performances. Ji Chang-wook is particularly impressive in his portrayal of Jun-mu, a complex and conflicted character. Wi Ha Joon is also excellent as Gi-chul, a young man who is forced to grow up quickly in a dangerous world. The production values are also high, and the drama creates a dark and atmospheric world that is both believable and terrifying. The action sequences are well-choreographed, and the special effects are convincing.
Overall, The Worst of Evil is a must-watch for fans of crime thrillers. It is a dark and disturbing drama, but it is also a well-made and suspenseful one. If you are looking for a drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat, then The Worst of Evil is definitely worth checking out.
However, I would like to caution viewers that this drama contains graphic scenes of violence and torture. It is also not suitable for children.

fail
it's really hard these days to find good dramas with an action score. I was looking forward to this as Ji Chang-wook is a long time favourite (although I prefer his non-action roles), and Wi Ha-joon was promising in several roles, I really liked his mysterious criminal vibe in 'little women'That said, after having watched the three first episodes: what a disappointment. I think the first 25 minutes of the first episode was just really bad fight and brawl scenes. And not much else actually.
I'm afraid it didn't really help that I recently rewatched 'my name' with Park Hee-soon as the most charismatic, evil and attractive drug kingpin EVER, with such authenticity it sent shivers down my spine constantly... so, seeing Wi Ha-joon now trying really hard to be an equal character? No chance. I can see him acting while acting here, maybe even trying to copy several things from 'my name'.
The storyline didn't really grip me, lots of fights, flat characters. Young guy wants to take over the area of the old boss guy, so far, so non-exciting.
Ji Chang-wook... I don't know, he is trying hard too here, but I don't buy his character either. All the cursing seems fake, all the smoking too, just everything.
I also don't like the whole atmosphere and vibe this show has.
If you want to watch a brainy, actually deep, and psychologically interesting and multifacetted story, see amazing aesthetic visuals and brilliant, authentic characters, main and side roles with intelligent action included? Watch 'my name'. If you want 30 minutes non-stop bad blood-spatter action and actually good actors trying really hard to fit roles they are not (yet) up to? Watch 'the worst of evil'.

First Love is to Die For!!!
As in the review is literally just like the titleanyone experience first love, during their younger years, don't lie,
some part of your conscience still cannot forget your first love.
Lets talk about the Story
12 episode is short but it conveys the directors and actors perception of the story, eerie questions fly into one's mind
Pre Mission
will this mission help me get close to my wife family?
will this mission benefit me?
will this mission help bring justice?
will this mission increase my net worth to provide for my wife?
During Mission
what's happening?
Am i going too far?
Protecting my wife is my priority?
what happened to me?
is this still part of the mission?
Post Mission
Will we be able to go back we were before?
Why are you on his side crying?
Is this the result of going to deep in the mission?
Do I still want to protect you?
questions asked by the ML is happening in today's environment, even in South Korea, a very realistic approach on the story. The 5 deadly sins is also heavily conveyed into one worst of somebody (you got envy, you got greed, you got wrath, you got gluttony, you got pride).
Lets talk about the Cast
a good cast, each character held its own, never new that the SFL is her first drama in south korea, and she got the lines and looks, now the about the title, FL and SML, they portrait that the first love is to die for really well, ML conveys the character pretty well, and its happening on all police officers. Chief and the Violent Crimes Detective, an example of do anything at all cost, supporting role cast filled in the shoes really well,.
Lets talk about OST
OST is not the strongest part of this series, the ending OST is intense, the good thing is they did not insert any cheesy ost here
all business,.
Rewatch Value
Yes, this is one of the top 20 pyschological thriller genre of all time, globally
for south korea, its top 3, number 1 and 2 for me is still "I saw the Devil" and "Through the Darkness"
now, does your wives, best friend, lover, have a first love from their past that you don't know about?
its gonna eat you and a good start of argument.

Gangnam Style Crime Thriller
Set in the crime-ridden streets of Gangnam in the 1990s, “The Worst of Evil” promised power packed performances by its stellar casting which includes popular names like Ji Chang Wook, Wi Ha Joon, Im Se Mi. Probably one of the most anticipated releases this year, the show premiered to high expectations and the succinct storytelling is definitely worth the wait. With a three episode premiere and three episodes finale, the show will release two episodes henceforth. Starring Ji Chang Wook as local policeman Park Junmo, Wi Ha Joon as gang leader Jung Gicheul and I’m Se Mi as security officer Yu Euijeong, “The Worst of Evil” is a complicated love triangle set in the midst of a sprawling crime syndicate. Directed by Han Dong Wook, Park Geun Beom and written by Jang Min Seok, the compelling cinematography is resplendent of the 1990s era, which renders a melancholic feel to the melodrama transpiring on screen. The first three episodes do a decent job of introducing the characters and setting the stage for future confrontations. This show isn’t for the fainthearted and it depicts explicit violent scenes (so, drop it if you can’t stand watching fight scenes every 10 minutes, because that seems to be the norm for this show).Read the complete article here-
