Amazing chemistry and story

this was an amazing show, absolutely gorgeous to watch. The colors, the acting, the story itself, everything was perfect. the only minus point for me would be the "best friend" who's only here for the money of the main lead and I would gladly throw him out the window myself 😭 apart from that, the chemistry between the two main leads was mind-blowing, the girl best friend was very cute and relatable. even the ex girlfriend was not completely despicable towards the end. the depression part was very just in my opinion, too.

I like it even though there are a lot of things I didn't like about it.

For those wondering, this series has a *happy ending*

I think that this may be one of the best korean BLs of the year BUT,
compared to other BLs, this is a bit confusing for me. I felt like there are episodes that are cut in a weird way that made the story not flow so well. It sometimes made me feel like I was watching a compilation of clips rather than a series. For instance, there is a moment where they don't talk and then they just met on subway like that without any clear explanation (did he follow him?).

Another thing is that, I also felt a bit confused about Jae Won's character acting. There is a moment where he kisses so deep and there are times when he kisses like a plucking chicken. He also became a bit awkward after they got together. He says he doesn't mind what others say but he is also not as clingy as before. I felt like he got so much relaxed about getting together with Ji Hyun, in a romantic sense.

Lastly, I also didn't like how they just brushed of Eun Ji's and Tae Hyung's very very horrible attitude with a sorry. Heck, Eun Ji didn't even said sorry. Ji Hyun did, and that was very aggravating. I hope they recieved some kind of moment for character development where they really repented from what they've done 'cause everybody else had some kind of adulting change, and they didn' t. It was so frustrating. I also didn't understand that stepping back-stepping up game at the end. Hahaha.

HOWEVER, what made me like this series a lot is the cinematography. I felt like I was watching Blueming with a hint of that american BL feel. The colors and the first NC scene is so well directed.

Also even though the opening is a bit weird for me, as it felt like I was watching an opening of Baywatch, and there is even that weird guy holding a surf board, it grew on me. At the end of the series, I felt that it was not that bad.

I also like Mira and Ae ri very very much. They are on my top tier list of best female characters for BL series. They are just so true, sweet, and caring throughout the series that I would love to hug them and hang out with them very much. Don't forget about Jun Pyo as well. Though I felt like his role as a very great bestfriend was a bit brushed of by the story. I hoped they have shown that as well.

I really like these characters so much that it made the tenth episode great when Mira finally got what she wanted. It had me in tears. Because she really really deserved it.

Lastly, even though there is no closure about Jae Won's trauma, family and mental sickness, I liked it more with that. Because I think that there is no need to hurry to 'heal' and just slowly getting better is enough, which the end of the series really showed that. I also loved how they showcased mental illness in this story and how there is nothing wrong with seeking help. Though I also felt that the therapist became a bit unprofessional with her tone at the end.


Overall, I think this is a series that could've been better with a more smooth transition of events like those of Semantic Error or Dating Sim. Sadly, it isn't. So it may be a very good watch, and I like it, but this is not one of those that I might rewatch again. It is a feel good BL though so I recommend others to watch it.

Best kbl

The best actors and chemistry, story, musical scoring, cinematography and everything is just sooo beautiful. The moment that i saw the trailer I already knew its going to be a great drama. The actors acting are so natural. Every scenes they have together is so captivating and intense especially when they look at each other, they have so much chemistry. I love that the story also tackles about mental health, trauma and grief, family, friends, school and their relationship with each other. I like jihyuns character so much, he has so much love, understanding and patience towards jaewon, which u can rarely see today. Dealing with a loved one who has mental health issues aren't easy. I hope everyone will watch drama because it really is so beautiful. Highly recommended.

Must Watch Series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an amazing series by all the crew whether its actor, script writer, director or producers!!!!
📖 Story/Plot
It is a good plot to watch. Somewhere in between you may feel that why its not happening or why the character is like this but just know that makes the story more interesting. Its a very simple storyline and talks about those emotions which people felt in our generations. If you are going to watch this for story, it will be a treat for you which is full of ups and downs of emotions so be ready for that. Script writer kept the story simple but interesting which kept the audience hooked till the end.
🎶Music/Ost
The music of this is amazing. when you will complete this series, in your mind, it just struck. So be ready for that. Music totally shows how the story is taking place.
🎥Director and Actors
The actors played their role amazingly. The chemistry between them is amazing. As a viewer, I want to see the couple more but in a bit happy storyline. The way director direct the whole series showing us the past of Jae Won and then both of their emotions is superb... A big applause for that!!!!!!!!
🏞️ Picturesque
If you want to watch this series for beautiful picturesque then you may not like this one, but the way it collaborate with the color coordination is amazing.
🏳️‍🌈At last, I will say go for it. Unless and until you don't watch, you won't get the feel of it. and yes its a happy ending of the series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s a masterpiece in every way

This show is one if not the best bl ever. It’s simply a masterpiece. It portrays a realistic and beautiful love story. I loved absolutely everything about this show: the tension, the natural skinship, the characters development, the friendships, the cinematography, the music, the silence, the feelings. The ending was so perfect that I cried because it ended.

The actors did an amazing job of portraying the characters feelings, struggles and growth and I hope we’ll see them soon in the future. I also hope for a season 2 of this series or for another bl from these amazing screenwriters and directors.

Best one yet!

This. Just this. I wish i could submit this review just by saying this. This one is so good! I thought i wouldn't be able to find any good Korean BL after blueming, but this!! Damn it's so good!

The storyline is so so so so good, even compared to other K-BL who got adapted from manhwa. This one is just hits different.

I got a very very strong SKAM vibes on this drama, with the realistic characterisation and problems, the scene? So many similar scene! Like the last 2 episodes of this drama literally screams SKAM. They even did the iconic "the morning after" scene. (It's also been confirmed by one of the actors that they do watch skam for reference).

The acting? Phenomenal. The chemistry is THERE. Like you know no awkward move, and no awkward kiss. They actually go for it.

And the song? I was shocked when they use Conan's song! They got BUDGET. (And yet another skam reference? By using popular pop song).

Anyways, it's recommended. If you like skam, go for it! Totally worth your time!

RESENHA BRASILEIRA

Primeira vez que escrevo uma resenha de uma série/dorama/BL, e estou pensando em fazer isso mais vezes. Este BL mexeu comigo de uma forma que não sei explicar em palavras, mas tentarei. Não é apenas sobre a história que ele nos conta, porque, se fosse falar da história, seria apenas sobre dois garotos que se conhecem e se apaixonam devido à quantidade de vezes que interagem. Então, o que torna esse BL tão especial?

Sou uma pessoa que gosta de detalhes, beleza e atuação. Este BL entrega tudo isso. As roupas são bonitas, de acordo com a personalidade. A fotografia da série é maravilhosa, às vezes escura, às vezes clara, e isso não é à toa; tem uma explicação. Diversas coisas na direção dessa série são muito bem pensadas, como o jogo de câmera e o cenário. Outro ponto positivo: quase não há flashbacks. Aparecem umas duas vezes no máximo, e fazem sentido para a cena. Eles não tratam o telespectador como burro, voltando e explicando o que está acontecendo. Tanto que em alguns momentos eu parei e fiquei pensando: o que aconteceu? Espera, isso rolou mesmo?

Achei isso fantástico. Outra diferença é que não há câmera lenta como em outros Kdramas/BLs/séries. Quando os personagens se olham, é bem realista, sem câmera lenta e sem focar com várias câmeras na mesma coisa. Ainda há alguns clichês, como o protagonista caindo e o outro segurando, mas eles não focam nessa cena como algo grandioso. É simplesmente um acontecimento, o que torna tudo imersivo e natural. Isso é genial. Em momento nenhum você se lembra que aquilo ali é uma série, porque parece que você está vivendo.

Aí entro em mais um ponto: viver o momento. Os atores fazem isso conosco através da atuação. Os olhares, a voz, as expressões. Tudo isso é muito conectado conosco. Há momentos em que o protagonista passa por momentos dificeis e você sente a depressão dele, ou o desconforto. É nítido. E são poucas as vezes que há trilha sonora. Os efeitos sonoros são mais predominantes, como se realmente a cena estivesse acontecendo ali, ao vivo, na sua frente. Fora os personagens secundarios, todos tem qualidades e defeitos, uns vc odeia logo de cara, outros vc pensa que é insuportavel e no final está amando. A construção é muito boa.
