CONTINUAL PLOTS FROM SEASON 1
I was kind of predicted that Joon-Ho (Jung Hae-In) would deserted the ARMY from how he doubted himself on Season 1. So, it was predictable but with different angle to solve run-away soldiers or continual problem of the system. Basically, the change won't happen when the upper level officials keep blind eyes. When bullying persists and officials close their eyes to the suffering, soldiers bond to give up and one result is running away from the bad situation they're in. It started when a soldier Kim Ru Ri killed the whole squad in shooting spree, injured many and killed a few. He got caught back under security but found out Army covered the incident with possibly wrongful time decease - for the fact few more were died due to delaying rescue because of bureaucratic system of chain in command. Ahn Joon-Ho had the UB-file to prove the wrong doing, being chased by the people to hand down the evidence. He maneuver people around him to win the on-going case in court, got beaten up.Not as many Deserters as the first season but more horrific plots. If Season 1 & Season 2 combined was more likely one regular Korean drama, The development of the characters were evolving, Joon Ho's supervisors matured in handling crisis, took risks to prevent the system's mistakes. There's an indication that might have Season 3 as Han Ho-Yul leaved ARMY for good while Joon-Ho was still continue his service. Jung Hae-In was great maintaining his charm in boyish tough look. I think he looked better in here than any other of his dramas. Little comic added lightness to this drama....

Very different score to season one
Although they did a true continuation from the ending of season one, they probably should have kept it as is... based on this season two. The reasons why I loved season one, took a few steps back in this follow up. Unlike the pacing of a real feel previously, they've upped the dramatics and tried to do too much in a small number of episodes. Because they tried to do too much, there were multiple holes in the plot which became confusing. However, it's not terrible by any means. Just that season two took the entirety into the average zone. There is potential for them to bring it back up to par if they manage to fill in the gaps on all the unanswered questions and provide the rationales for certain actions into a season three. For the time being, the slightly higher scoring on this is to give a nod to season one as I've already become invested in the characters from it (and because of this, season two still triggered a few tears).

THE STORY PICTURES REAL THINGS IN THE ARMY
This second season was really necessary, just like the first, seeing the suffering of the military, traumas and etc is true ( which happens most of the time )In addition to this season having filled some holes in history.
I really got very emotional in several episodes, laughed a lot and cried like a child.
Choi Hyun-wook's participation was the most anticipated for me, and his episode was one of the ones that shook me the most and made me freak out just because of his presence (I was dying to watch it)

I need a S3!
PLOTIt may not be as strong as the first season, but still pretty amazing. The length of each season is ideal based on the ep duration. The plot is interesting. The progress and maturing between co workers relationships it's so obvious. The pushing aside their ego to support a reason and give justice to the unfair system is such a strong connection. All the bullying environment is so emotional and sad, that I was questioning myself "what would've I done if I had witnessed anything disturbing with my eyes".
ACTING
The whole crew is so good. But I have to point out Jung Hae In's performance. His serious face and the ability to play an action drama except of romance proves how he can adapt completely to each occasion. Also his bro chemistry with Koo Kyo Hwan was outstanding. Wish I see more of them together in the future.
S3?
Based on our main character, he has one more year till his dismissal from the army. As he said, the story just started, so I hope that they will continue it and show more internal fights of contrasting army's ignorance and avoidance of taking responsibility.

How hard is it to stand behind your actions?
Very thought provoking season, once again. Script wasn't as stable as in S1, but delivered the message. Was happy when SSK & KSK got more screentime. We humans have created the system with hierarcy. Then how come no one does anything if there's such a big & brutal phenomenom as here? How come grown-up adults cannot stand behind their actions and don't take responsibility when they're supposed to?
I really, really hope that, as this case is real, people could carry their responsibility even for this once. I really, really hope that 🇰🇷 defence forces takes this case under investigation and comes out with concrete, long-span & influential actions in all of its levels. Same if this is happening in some other country.

Even more intense than before, but kinda doesn't make sense in the end
The first 2 episodes are dark and started really strong. The gradually they proceed to unravel and show how our protagonists trying to stop or break the systems that have been going for a very long time, like doing everything against all odds. But weirdly, after deserting and ignoring every orders and rules, Junho managed to escale unscathed and the blame all fell on Beomgu. It kinda doesn't make sense to be honest, because Junho and of course Hoyeol also Jiseop and not to mention, Giyeong, took part in the process of helping Junho and finally trying to whistle blow. In the real world, they will also be punished. That's the only problem I had with the show. In terms of the overall watching experience, it was one hell of a ride. The actings were superb, even for Choi Hyunwook who potrayed Shin Ah Wi, his expression went to cocky to traumatised real quick. It was an excellent performance by him.

Good Enough
Korean Drama " D.P. Season Two " is the sequel to the high praised D.P. and it does live up to its first season. The drama has a thrilling story, full of suspense, and offers a lot of interesting subplots to follow, which combines them well with the main story as well as gives them all an ending.
This time around, the drama also takes a deeper dive into the main character, giving more information about him, as well as bringing him forward and letting him make his own decisions.
The performances were also pretty enjoyable and everyone handled their character masterfully.
Finally, the cinematography of the drama was just right for the story.
So, overall, eight and a half out of ten.

I CRIED .....
This was for me...I think it was better than S1 in some sense and aspect? I guess I'll be doing a mini comparison.Personally, I preferred the storyline of This from EP 1...to 3... Better than S1. and for S1...The storyline was Overall good and passable. But from EP 4 to the last of This season...I somehow got...Lost?
not confused but basically...Yawn.
Overall z It's type of storyline Overall where people interested in such Genre would really enjoy. But for me felt flat in some sense. Especially the ending side? could be better.
But I appreciate this Season for staying true to it's Original season and picking up accuracy where it was. one could literally put the two together.
The acting here...was Overall nice. I have no complaints. Ost? beautiful and suiting.
now let me take a minute to thank them for that beautiful storyline of ep 3. It literally was the best thing that has ever happened to me in s2.
as someone who has slightly similar storyline with that ep..I could feel a heavy connection to it and basically thanked them for the tearjerking depiction of that. It was beautiful done..But...sigh...No spoilers lol.
Overall it's an amazing drama I'd recommend to anyone who likes such genre. I think you won't be disappointed. that's based on taste

------------
Les tengo mucho cariño a Jun-ho y a Ho-yul...
------------

A little underwhelming
Honestly I was expecting a lot for s2, i’m not saying i’m disappointed but i’m just a bit let down. I thought they would go a bit deeper into everything but it seemed like they crammed up a huge situation into 6eps just to get it over with :/I was really surprised when I realised it was already over, and i can’t help but ask if D.P will have s3? The ending seemed pretty open and a little unfinished in my opinion.
I mean really I just can’t believe they made it so dramatic but ended it so quickly. I was hoping for more…but I hope that maybe they do better in another season if they’ll be making one!
On a side note, AMAZING performance by the actors. This is one thing I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed by. The actors are so well casted and protrayed their characters well.
Even if I am a bit unsatisfied with s2, it’s still a solid tv show and it’s worth the watch.
