A Disappointing Blend of Clichés
I approached this drama with high hopes, only to find myself immersed in a sea of clichés. It seems that every slight action or insignificant moment is accompanied by sound effects, slow motion, and excessive zooming. This excessive use of these techniques feels unnecessary. The portrayal of the female lead is another aspect that left me disappointed she appears to be limited to shallow breathing, excessive stuttering, and an inability to complete a sentence. I found myself constantly wanting to skip through these moments. Furthermore, the attempts to showcase the male lead as ruthless, the drama resorts to repetitive scenes where the male lead tries to lean on her, scaring her as if he were an ostrich buffing his feathers. The male lead does have the ability to portray a ruthless character visually.
