Well....I made it to episode 10 a while ago and haven't went back since. Why? Because every episode is the same: you get a mediocre case and the only person who can save the day is attorney Woo Yong Woo...I'm not going to go through the whole introduction of palondromes because it became annoying by the 3rd episode to me.The series was fun to watch for the first few but then it became monotonous. The writers made the other attorneys mediocre compared to Young Woo. Nobody could figure things out but her. It made me grit my teeth a lot. Those kind of shows irk my nerves. At first these people were on top of their game but then they became stupid throughout the series. Made me wonder why were they there? It was like they could no longer fend for themselves. They needed Yong Woo to help.
The cast is perfect though. I like the whole cast except for the other female lawyer who worked at the other law firm. She just seemed out of place to me.
Once again there's that irksome romance scenario that always gets me. If it wasn't done in such a childish way then maybe I would be gung ho about it but I could see where it was going after the 5th episode. That was another reason I wasn't too thrilled about finishing this series.
I seen 10 episodes and I guess that was enough. Since every episode seemed the same I feel like I'm not missing anything.
There's going to be a second season in 2024. Who knows if I'll go back to finishing this. I just know I'm dropping it for now.

GREAT STORYLINE AT FIRST........................ BUT.......................
I thought it will get better as the story goes, but sadly, no. I initially enjoyed watching this because of attorney woo and the cases in the early episodes, as one of my favourite genres to watch is legal. But, why does the writer suddenly adds unnecessary romance? it's really unnecessary and meh. They just can stay as a friend. Why does everything need romance as if friendship isn't valuable enough? Just look at how in Law School, there's no romance, and yet their interaction is endearing. The plot of this kdrama begins to mess up around episode 8/9. I don't know why there are people giving it a solid 10??? You guys serious?
Tbvh, Lee Junho's character is off. It’s not like im not trying to watch it, I did okay but I just couldn’t continue watching it. Just because u like it, doesn’t mean others will. SO CHILL LMAO.

One of the best ever
This is my second review in two days. The first one was not good watch
No show got me hooked like this one. It is so amazing within the first 5 minutes I was hooked on it.
The acting is just incredible. I watched the lead actress in 2 previous dramas but his was her best. She was just amazing. If I could give a 100 for her acting I would have.
The story is great and is something very different. I was not expecting to like it but I quickly changed my mind.
I hope this takes top spot.

Autism is my superpower the K-Drama
Upon my girlfriend's recommendation, we decided to give "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" a try, considering my personal connection to autism and my previous aspirations of becoming a lawyer.Regrettably, the show fell short of expectations, offering a rather mundane and formulaic narrative that felt overly familiar. The storytelling lacked originality, and the exaggerated performances, especially in portraying autism, demonstrated a notable lack of nuanced understanding on the part of the writers. From the outset, Woo's characterization, initially hinting at ADHD, left me questioning the logic of whales mysteriously moving appearing in her room in the morning— a perplexing detail that was never adequately explained. The ensuing surprise at her dating someone suggested a peculiar solitude, given the apparent absence of guests in her space.
The romantic interest's age seemed incongruent with the main character's presumed youth, creating an additional layer of inconsistency. Character development was largely absent until the final episode, where seemingly inconsequential figures suddenly emerged to champion Woo, leading to yet another predictable victory achieved through her distinctive approach to handling cases.
The repetitive structure of the show, featuring quirky scenes, over stimming herself at work, filler content, and the resolution of cases through Woo's autism "powers," became a monotonous cycle, causing me to doze off multiple times during viewing.
The supposed "twists" in the storyline felt forced and unrelated, akin to discovering a family pet has cancer while simultaneously learning about an aunt's sexual orientation—interesting on its own, but bewildering in the context of the overarching narrative. The revelation about the protagonist's brother possessing autism-related hacking abilities was particularly amusing, as there was no prior indication or buildup to such a revelation.
Curiously, the genetic inconsistency within the family—where the mother seemingly lacked autism despite having two children with different partners who both exhibited ASD—further strained the credibility of the show.
In conclusion, those who claim genuine enjoyment of "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" might be overlooking its shortcomings, and perhaps a more discerning exploration of media with depth and substance is warranted.

SuperB Series Like No Other
I've never been this excited for a series but look what we have here. Surprisingly, this series is a masterpiece on its genre. Although it is still ongoing, the amount of viral spoilers and word of mouth are dominating the social world. What I really like so far in this series is the ability to capture such beautiful cinematography and scenic artistry of events. For instance, the whale scenes are so metaphoric that they commands you to feel whatever inside you. It's contagious and I like it. Is it okay for a normal actes to play an autistic character?
I have been binge-watching this show and it's good don't get me wrong. there is just one issue. Is it okay for a normal actress to play a normal person? I have an autistic brother and I know how he behaves and it kinda made me a little uncomfortable they casted a normal actress and not someone who has autism. When the singer Sia made her movie with an autistic character who was played by an average person she got a lot of backlash, but it's okay for a Kdrama? This is just my opinion so please no hate.

Not the legal drama I expected it to be.
So I guess this is a case of high expectations ruining the fun for me because I went in with a really high expectations as I really like the actors from their previous works and I really love Legal dramas, but what I saw didn't meet my expectations.I really liked the characterizations of the leads but I expected a legal drama where more importance is given to legal cases and its investigations, but here that seems to be a very small part of the story. It gave a more melodrama feel than a legal drama feel to me.
Even the cases seem very melodramatic than interesting, especially the episode with her friend's father's inheritance, the ending seemed very illogical to me the way he still gave those evil people his money!
Then there's the repetitiveness of the whole whale scenes... It seemed quite interesting in the beginning of 1st episode, watching the big and beautiful creature flying and jumping and her interesting trivia on them, but by the 4th episode, I was tired of watching it again and again.
I feel this would have been a a really nice movie though and I do hope that they make a movie with the same basic story and characterization where the Fl & Ml are jointly solving some interesting cases. Maybe she can set up a private practice and he can be her partner and they can be those underdog lawyer/paralegal team who go and win against some big mean corporate ones. That would get a 9+ from me but this is unfortunately only a 6.5 rating from me.

Best K-drama I have watched in 2022- Extraordinary Attorney Woo
I never usually give a perfect score to any kdrama but this hands-down deserves all of the hype and love is getting and should get even more because I feel like this drama portrays something that happens in real life and we're not looking at it enough and it kind of forces you to look in that certain area. I really respect the writers and directors for performing with such a vulnerable topic such as autism and to portray that in such a brilliant way is amazing, this proves that being an autistic person doesn't limit you from doing what your heart desires and that you can still do the things you love to doSecond I want to talk about the main cast. What an outstanding cast they have gathered, they all have performed their roles to the point and conveyed their feelings to the viewers. Whether that's being positive and patient role or being super jealous and ignorant they played the role perfectly. The chemistry between Woo Young Woo (Park Eun-bin) and Lee Junho (Kang Tae-oh) Is out of the world their chemistry is so pure and filled with cuteness. I love how Park Eun-bin respected the role she played and was able to play it so well, her character is honest, funny, charismatic and just everything that needs to be in a good character. Well, Lee Junho's character is a gentleman, sweet, caring and very very patient with (Woo Young Woo). Together they're the perfect match and they are a mermaid in harmony
I can't forget about the other Cast they did an extraordinary job captivating the roles of individual attorneys, prosecutors judges and many many more. As Kang Ki-young, Joo Hyun-young, Ha Yoon Kyung, Baek Ji-won, Jeon Bae-soo, Jin Kyeong, Koo Kyo-hwan. You guys did an outstanding performance with your characters
The show is absolutely the best show I've watched in 2022 so far it has everything that you want, This drama is not overly cliche, it's very light-hearted very wholesome very kind and very funny to watch. I love it

Whoa whoa: A classic in the making (Midseason review)
I don't like to exaggerate, nor do I like giving out 10 stars willy-nilly, but so far this show has definitely deserved it. I've seen every episode at least twice since the beginning and Wednesdays can't come any sooner!Disclaimer: I am not an expert in autism spectrum disorders so I can't comment on the accuracy beyond trivial observations.
Story: I love the pacing so far. The first episode was perfect in establishing the main characters and making the audience ask questions to be answered next week. This set the formula for subsequent episodes, and with the watercooler effect that we're experiencing, the viewers are constantly at the edge of their seat waiting for what's to come. I really appreciate how points of conflict are addressed at the appropriate time. For example, the drama surrounding Attorney Woo's family is hinted at by the end of ep. 2, confirmed at the end of ep. 6, then talked about by the end of ep. 8, with enough room in the rest of the show's run to elaborate. That's really good pacing. Older dramas would have waited around ep. 14 to do anything about it in a cheap attempt to get viewers to stay tuned.
There's something healing about this drama, whether it's the characters or the cases or the visuals, or maybe all of it combined. Almost everyone is likeable in the show but it doesn't ever feel too saccharine because of the weight of the cases (assault, murder, copyright disputes, gentrification). Young-woo has a great supervisor, a wonderful dad, a few amazing friends, and a huge green flag of a love interest. But she also has a big rival and critics who may or may not be set in their understanding of her.
I'm not the type to seek out romance in dramas, but the one featured here is healthy and seems to ask the right questions. (Episode 10 premiers tonight so I can't say more). I like that it's not romance for the sake of romance, but because it's just a part of life that Young-woo would have to encounter at some point. And personally, I pay more attention to Young-woo's friendship with Dong Geurami and Choi Su-yeon. I love how they look out for her but also talk to her the way they would talk to any other adult.
Acting / Cast: Park Eun-bin! I think many would agree that if she doesn't get recognized at Baeksang, then something is clearly wrong with their criteria. What a layered performance. We know that Young-woo is a genius but her intelligence still has limits, like in ep 6. She can also be blindsided by passion despite being awkward with emotions. On the other hand, we know she's not stupid and has a lot of common sense. She can be blunt and misread social cues but she's never annoying or overly cute. We see all of this in every scene. Her acting at the end of ep 8 alone is worth all the awards. You can see Young-woo processing complex feelings and choosing her words very carefully to react to what's been said to her.
The same could be said about the supporting cast and guest actors. I was particularly impressed by Moon Sang-hoon who played Kim Jeong hoon (Peng-soo) in ep. 3. Overall, the chemistry between all of them is undeniable and the director has done a marvellous job balancing these big personalities on screen.
Music: Adorable, warm, optimistic OST. My personal favorites are "Beyond My Dreams" by Sunwoojunga and "Inevitable" by Suzy. But the whole OST is fitting and the editing is appropriate in the show. Not to mention Maytree doing the sound effects whenever Young-woo has one of her whale visions!
So why do I think that Extraordinary Attorney Woo is a classic in the making? It's because of the careful balance it manages to strike between sweet and realistic, funny and mature, healing and intriguing. The most beloved dramas tend to share these qualities but EAW has the advantage when it comes to its premise and setting. Young-woo's condition allows for a fresh take on emotions in a setting that deals with very emotional cases.
Midseason verdict: 10 / 10. Even if it's not a whale.

One of the best K-Drama/Netflix Series this year!
First and foremost, this series gone viral all over my FYP on TikTok and I never been this grateful and curious. I really thought this gonna be like the same old plot of legal drama whatsoever but I'm glad I was wrong. This is a legit so comforting and heartwarming legal, diversify and a bit of comedy-romantic series. It's a roller coaster journey and a lot of lessons and emotions are present on this series. I really looking forward for more episodes and really worth watching for. Indeed, one of the best K-Drama/Netflix Series this year! Hoping for Season 2 even it is not finished yet!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
Extraordinarily Refreshing drama
I am not giving this drama 10 yet because I am still watching it. If it continues the way it is now, it definately has potential of being a 10I am glad that they have made this drama totally about the female lead. It is a story about her and how everyone sees her. As far as I am concerned as a viewer, I absolutely loved her, Right from her obsession about whales , OCD type behavior where she does not have clue that everyone has to wait while she counts before entering the room, how she really tries hard to understand people like its an assignment but aware about the fact that she has limitations due to her autism.
Why we call her extraordinary because she is extremely intelligent whether it is thinking out of the box and noticing important things even it is related to emotions, but at the same type she struggles to do the mundane things like going through a revolving door which other people find easy. The cases shown are really light and mostly emphasis on the journey of the female lead to become an attorney.
For this journey, Female lead has this strong support system, doting father who literally sacrificed everything for her, friends who always look after her , boss who may seem sceptical at first but with time really thinks that she is part of the team and of course our kind hearted Male lead who I think is as innocent as the female lead. The main couple is extremely adorable together and they are together for the sole reason of liking each other's company. There is no external factor or any fate involved or any opposite attracts kind of a situation. They just get each other. Of course the autism has its own challenges for both female and male lead but they just waltz through the situation naturally and literally.
Park Eun Bin is just nailing this character. After the drama ,Run on ,I was really excited to see Kang Tae Oh in the male lead role and he lives upto the expectation. Kang Ki Young really shines in any character he plays .Ha Yoon Kyung is becoming one of the favorite actress after dramas like hospital playlist ,she would never know and now this one . If you are kdrama geek like me you will be surprised with the guest appearances throughout the cases.
All and all if you want to watch something fun and lighthearted drama, go for it.
