Little Women (2022)

Worth watching!

I was a little hesitant to start the show, but one I did I literally had to binge watch the whole show. Loved that the show was intriguing and unpredictable, always wondering what was going to happen next. Story is very much mystery based and the story line was very refreshing. Another thing is that it is not focused on romance, which other shows similar to Little Women is, so if you like seeing romance between main characters this is probably not the show for you. Overall, highly recommend watching the show if you are a sucker for mysteries and love nerve wrecking stories.

ALL YOU WANTED TO KNOW BEFORE WATCHING!!

Using only the vaguest starting points from Louisa May Alcott’s novel of the same name on which it is based, writer Chung Seo-Kyung forged a bold path with her tale of dizzying adventure and hair-raising suspense.
Given the series’ huge reception, one hopes that it will serve as a wake-up call for a conservative industry that still sticks to outdated gender norms.
Adventure and suspense are words that are typically reserved for male-led stories in the Korean market, but Little Women gave us a story dominated by strong, inspiring, and richly characterized women, the likes of which have seldom been seen before.
Following the tribulations of the poor Oh sisters, In-Joo (Kim Go-Eun), In-Kyung (Nam Ji-Hyun), and In-hye (Park Ji-hu), the series ultimately gave viewers exactly what they wanted, but the journey to get there was never predictable and often rousing.
Writer Chung took advantage of the structure of Korean soap opera dramas (also known as makjang), which move at breakneck speed and are peppered with shocking reveals, to give us a story stacked with emotional highlights.
Knowing what we want and how to subvert our expectations, Chung plays us like a fiddle.

This show is one in a million

I watch a lot of kdrama. I’m extremely picky. I often skip around the episodes and never watch anything all the way through. This show, I never skipped for a second. I enjoyed every minute of it.

High quality production all around. Great cinematography, visuals, music. All was done extremely well. The acting was great too, from every character. I never felt annoyed by the characters or the acting. Watching this show is like taking a bite of rich chocolate mousse and savoring every second of it.

The story kept my interest throughout. I always wanted to know what would happen next. I think the only negative thing I have to say about this show is that there were a few too many plot twists. I never knew what to trust. I guess that is how it keeps you interested, but it got very ridiculous at the end. I wasn’t sure if there was going to be a happy ending or not up until the last 10 minutes of the show.

Overall, I highly recommend. This show has captured my mind and taken my breath away. It’s a beautiful masterpiece that I was delighted to experience.

Sociedade da orquídea

Gosto muito e veria 500 vezes novamente, adoro os personagens até mesmo o ódio que eu sentia de alguns era algo bom, a história é envolvente, minha vontade era não fazer nada e só assistir a esse drama.

Só não gosto muito da in hye pois achava ela muito trouxa de ficar com aquelas pessoas, ao passar dos episódios eu percebi do por que ela ser desse jeito. A mãe das 4 era muito sem noção, para não dizer outra coisa, e queria que tivessem aprofundado melhor o jeito dela com as meninas, também gostaria da infância delas ser mais bem explorada, sei que ja falaram bastante sobre mas queria saber melhor a história bem certinha de vida delas.

Being poor does not equal being dumb or not knowing how to handle money

Look, I really tried. Episode 1 was fire, but it went downhill from there.

The plot was set with these three sisters being super close (minus the youngest, who I found purely ungrateful, but more on that in a second).

In Joo and In Kyung talk about everything and share every thought. But when it comes to push and shove, it took them almost five episodes to realize they were chasing the same villain. Many issues wouldn't have occurred if they had talked about it from the moment In Kyung found the money in the fridge.

Also, why do both older sisters prefer to share their thoughts with random men instead of with each other to help their younger sister out?

I get that some things are made for the plot, but some scenes were unnecessary, rushed, and just badly plotted. After the grandma passed in Episode 6, I gave up.

I get it, obtaining 2 billion won in that manner is scary. But if the storyline is about poor people taking on the rich, then these strong sisters (all of them) should have buckled up. That would have been the perfect revenge storyline - with faults, of course, because they are new to having money - but these women are not dumb.

It felt like they purposely made them silly and not think things through because they are poor, which is nonsensical.

All in all, so much missed potential with the show, especially with such a great start.

And the little sisters excuse, of hating how her sisters love her and wanting her own life... please.

I have very mixed feelings.

AFTER WATCHING 7 EPISODES
After watching two episodes, I thought the drama would get better, but in my opinion, it didn't. I found each episode boring most of the time. Some parts look forced to make a twelve-episode drama. And why did they make fools of the sisters? They know there's something wrong with the orchid, it's dangerous, but they keep smelling it.
I'm dropping this drama. It's not worth wasting my time since every episode is boring for me.

AFTER WATCHING 2 EPISODES

So far, I've only watched two episodes and have very mixed feelings about this drama. The first episode was really boring for me. Because I wanted to give this drama a chance, I started watching the second episode and the first half was also mostly boring. This was the moment when I started to doubt whether I should continue watching this drama. However, I wanted to finish the second episode so as not to interrupt it in the middle of watching it. And something unexpected happened to me. The rest of the episode contained parts that interested me.

I want to mention that I really appreciate how the feelings, characters, and situations the characters find themselves in are represented by the lighting and design of their apartments/houses.

I'm not sure if I will continue watching this drama. I want to consider the pros and cons so as not to waste time unnecessarily on something that bored me for most of the first episodes.
I will probably choose to watch the third episode and after that, I will decide whether or not to continue watching.

This is not an 'adaption' more like loosely base on Little Women

Currently Little Women Ep 1-3
I thought Little Women was gonna be a light and airy drama 😅 I mean on MDL it's says 'adapted from the novel Little Women by Louisa May Alcott'
There is nothing adapted in this here drama but embezzlement,money. It's a murder mystery.
Should have written loosely base since the Oh sisters are poor.

What I'm not loving:
The lack of communication in these dramas is getting real old, real fast.
I'm on Ep 3 and I'm really disappointed in In Joo (Kim Go Eun ❤️ Yumi Cells series) the oldest and In Kyung (Nam Ji hyun ❤️365) the middle and their behavior with the rich family Park who is clearly taking advantage of their little sister In Hye (Park Ji Hoo ❤️ All of Us Are Dead)

What I'm loving:
As someone who loves plants and flowers that princess Orchid is gorgeous and I want one 😅😍

The men I REALLY enjoy seeing:
Actor Uhm Kijoon and it looking like he is up to no good (like his counterpart Dan Tae in Penhouse series) with his running for mayor shady self. Give me more screentime with him, he does villian so well 🥴🤣🤣🤣

Actor Wi Hajoon he is slowly making his way to ML status and that smile (he also has some nice wrist veins too) 😏😉

Feels like American shows

It starts like a cliche K-dramas where there is a poor Korean family where girls will meet rich guys and fall in love and happy endings. I do not believe there will be a happy ending. This show includes realistic people in the universe they created. There is no good people. Even our characters have their own selfishness and mistakes. I watched without close my eyes and could not guess any of the events occurring. It has high tension, awakens high level of curiosity and make you disgust of rich community. Sorry for the romance seekers, this show is kind of offering massacre. I would recommend to people who enjoyed:
- Sky Castle
- Penthouse series
- Parasite Movie

Kim Go Eun Acting is The Best and Truly A Versatile Actress

Park Ji-hu as Oh In-hye , the youngest sister, who studies at a prestigious art high school due to her natural drawing skills, and sometimes feels that her sisters’ love for her is too much.

até agora eu to meio ??? com essa história de vingança da hwajyoung, não tinha necessidade dela usar a injoo pra isso. a menina comeu o pão que o diabo amassou, sofreu a beça.

to ate agr??? com a morte do park lá, não sei PQ ele se matou por aquela psicopata lá, pq amor não foi.

odiem não terem deixado o doil e a injoo juntos no final, depois de todo sofrimento isso era o mínimo né, pelo menos as minis queridas estavam bem né.

a morte da sang-a foi pobre, muito rápida e sem sentido, ela devia ter sofrido muito mais antes de morrer, mulher maluca psicopata.

The concept

This gives chills the shocking plot twist really makes the show standout . The way the scene was shown the serious court,suspense atmosphere while questioning and then the timing of her friend appearing just to show that she is the evidence is crazy
