Heartbreaking.
Cried a lot. I thought maybe people were overreacting but it really just is that sad. If you don't want to cry don't watch this. The story and everything was very good but I wish it could've ended happier. There was so much potential for it to be perfect. The leads were so cute together. Ending was bad due to it being a sad ending, still happy I watched but I'll truly never recover from this, I'm so incredibly sad right now after watching this. If you like cute romance melodramas with horrible sad endings you'll probably like this, I'm still so sad.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

I lived an alternative life for a bit under two hours :)
Lately, it's been really hard to find something interesting to watch. Simply nothing seemed to make me live the story for real. That was, of course, before getting to this movie. While I can't say it's the best ever or something so exaggerated, it was a really good movie. For some reason I simply went with the story without the impulse to predict everything, which is new for me. I could just allow myself to be surprised and live every emotion.SPOILER!
Yes, it did break my heart and it took me a while to get emotionally better, but that simply proves it was good. It left a mark, it didn't just pass; it was the kind of story that stays with you.
I, for one, adore tragedies especially because of this lasting impact and also because they represent life more honestly than the "happy ever after". If you don't mind a sad twist, it will definitely be your type of movie.
It still hurts my heart to think about it, but I love that it could do that. I missed this feeling!
P.S.: I NEVER rewatch what i saw. Giving it an 8 for rewatch value proves its good enough to see again. It would be as if I was looking back on memories.

My heart can't handle this......
I never write official reviews about anything but I had to come to this ASAP (tears still in my eyes) to talk about this.First, the plot was cliche but cute! The love triangle(?), between Kim Yoojung, Byeon Wooseok, and Park Jungwoon characters was cute but I also feel like it was random. Not out of place random but just odd? in a cute way? I enjoyed the bickering between Bora and Hyunjin though, that was super funny, and playful and kept the mood light. The acting in the movie was amazing, I absolutely love Kim Yoojung's acting, she's iconic always.
*Spoiler below*
IF THEY DON'T STOP ENDING SOMETHING GREAT WITH A DEVASTATING ENDING..... I'M NOT GOING TO STOP WATCHING BUT DAMN MY HEART IS. F R A G I L E! That was a plot twist I was not expecting NOR DID I ASK FOR IT! 2521 broke me, but they just didn't work out. THIS THOUGH?!?! UNCALLED FOR. WONDERFUL MOVIE. UNCALLED FOR.
So I say, if you want a romcom that will have you kicking your feet, blushing, giggling, laughing, and then crying your eyes out because your heart WAS NOT ready, this is the movie for you. It's overall an amazing movie!

90s love stories are really something..
Finally I watched this hyped movie too.My sister also recommended it, though I already knew the ending of it and getting all spoilers still started to watch it for 90s flavoured love story lyk twenty five twenty one ,still I can't get over from it.To be honest that drama serial has my whole heart.Besides I really like kim yoo, she's so pretty and talented. She did really really well.
As expected I must say 90s love stories are really something that's simple, cute and pure. Maybe there'll be heartbroken but still full of love, joy and overloaded purity. 🤍🤍

made the mistake of not checking the tags
(Vague spoilers only)This movie was great -- wonderfully acted, so beautiful, so funny, emotionally resonant, and just really heartfelt. However, I made the mistake of not checking the tags here on MDL; I just saw the movie on Netflix and thought it was going to be a cute romance. And it was, but it's also a tearjerker for sure and Netflix didn't warn me!! I don't even know the last time a movie made me cry this much. Not even just the ending, but other moments throughout, whenever Bora cried it was like I was crying too. Everything about Woonho's story made me cry, and I'm tearing up right now just thinking about it haha. Their actors were absolutely amazing, though I thought Yeondoo's and Hyunjin's actors did really well too. Bora's dad was a really fun addition and gave levity when it was needed.
Definitely worth watching but bring tissues.

Without answers!
I re-watched the last part searching for answers and there isn't any clue, or might i be blind? Does anyone know how or why Woon Ho died?I mean how is it possible to not mention it. Bo Ra was dying to know about him but when Joseph talks to her, he doesn't say anything about it.
It was a very nice, smooth and sweet movie, but howwwwwwww or whyyyyyyyy? Another doubt, what was going on with Woon Ho's dad?
MMM would it be related to the 2ky change.... so he disappeared because of it? I'm delusional . HELP!

A Heartwarming Journey Marred by an Unnecessary Ending
Honestly, I had no intention of watching this when it first came out. However, after seeing Byeon Woo Seok in "Lovely Runner," I couldn't resist his charm and decided to give it a go. This movie is a heartwarming coming-of-age romance, but inexplicably, the writer chose a sad ending. It felt unnecessary and out of sync with the film's overall tone and vibe. Both Kim Yoo Jung and Byeon Woo Seok were perfect for their roles. Kim Yoo Jung's character is irresistibly lovable, embodying loyalty, charisma, and charm; she instantly wins your heart. Byeon Woo Seok’s character is equally captivating, portraying a loyal, observant, caring, and reliable friend. There is no doubt these two are perfect for each other. In contrast, their best friends are a bit more selfish, especially Roh Yoon Seo's character, but not in a negative way.
The movie will undoubtedly stir feelings of nostalgia, taking you back to your high school days. Who was your first boyfriend or girlfriend? Did you ever help your best friend approach their crush? And remember all that old technology, from pagers to VHS tapes? It's truly a walk down memory lane.
As mentioned earlier, the sad ending felt unnecessary. I don't understand why the writer chose this route. It doesn't make the movie more poetic or artistic; it only creates a sense of dissonance from the rest of the film's direction and tone. An avoidable disappointment.

20th Century Girl Review - ZyKuu
"A love triangle that cuts deep into the heart" - The story is very innocent and delivers a melodrama genre. The two main leads Bo-ra and Woon-ho were a perfect pairing and their chemistry was incredible. There were a couple intense scenes between Bo-ra and Woon-ho that lead to me being very emotional. One scene in particular was so saddening that I began crying, and this was due to the reason that every single aspect of this scene was perfectly orchestrated. In addition, the performances by both actors during these climatic moments were heartfelt and as a viewer made you feel empathetic towards them. The choice of OST was precise as I felt that the music played behind each scene heavily emphasized the magnitude of each moment, especially during the most saddening scenes. This phenomenal film is the definition of K-trauma and it will forever hold a special place in my heart.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

LOVED THIS MOVIE
The storyline was so beautiful. The movie had me squealing and gushing and smiling all throughout. At moments I would just yell out, " KISS ALREADY! GET MARRIED ONG" I absolutely loved this movie. So why not give it a 10? Because the ending just didn't go how I wanted. It seriously had me crying my eyes out. ( Still am because I just finished the movie like 10 minutes ago). WRITERNIM GIVE US AN ALTERNATE ENDING PLS 😓😤But besides that, I loved the cast! They were perfect for this movie. Their acting was just mwahhh chefs kiss. And The main cast was just so attractive, my jaw dropped. And I coulda swore I saw Kim Gong Myung lolll. Anyways to all who want to watch, I HIGHLY recommend it(●'◡'●)👍

I. AM. TRAUMATIZED.
I have one thing to say and one thing only: watch at your own risk because trust me the river of tears that will flow out of your eyes will be inexplicable....okay so I just realized that my review has to be longer than 500 words so let me actually give you a constructive opinion on this without spoiling anything.
This was definitely a 'journey' type of movie where you feel like you are a part of the character's life as you watch them grow and learn and become the best version of themselves possible. It will pull at you heartstrings and do you dirty in the most unimaginable ways possible. But it's definitely wrong for me to hate on this movie just because it made me cry a little (a lot) which is why I am only going to appreciate the happy movements and convince myself that there was nothing that made me cry (*lies*) but I guess we move. As my mother always says, "it's just a fictional character" (that made me cry a gallon of tears, yes)
Anyways, to whoever has already watched this movie and is currently reading this review as a response to withdrawal symptoms: stay strong<3
