Weather and workaholics
I refuse to believe, that there are that many dedicated news reporters assigned to the weather who attend press briefings with the rapt attention and critical eye like it was a major political scandal. I don't know if this is a correct representation of how seriously Korea takes its weather, or if there was a lot of artistic license in how they portrayed it. It's mostly people looking at whirling bits of data on screens, and just not that interesting to watch.I didn't mean to watch back to back dramas with Song Kang, he is not my favorite of the apple cheeked young actors currently making headlines, but he did bring some ???? during the romantic parts er....part. He has good shoulders. And I have no objection to how many times he would like to show those bare shoulders on screen.
It was hard to imagine the two of them together, even while watching them be together. The workplace dynamic was anxiety inducing, he's a poor pennyless guy that is homeless and Ha-Kyung offers him a place to live then tracks him down repeatedly and forces him to move in with her. She's also his boss at work who could fire him. At one point she calls him a kid and he angrily retorts that he's an adult and also her man, as he battles for respect.
They're both such workaholics that there is not a lot to them beyond some childhood trauma and the weather. He does have a lot of positive energy, he's thoughtful and helpful. But she is just her job, she's on call and even when she's not she's always thinking about the weather.
There are several discussions where she talks about how she's drawn boundaries between her work and personal life, which is just not true. she's much more severe and petty towards Si-Woo than anybody else. Which just because she's hiding her affection by being horrible to him doesn't make it a better boundary.
I know South Korea is dealing with low birth rates, and I don't feel like this series really helped that cause. For woman who did have children it was mentioned several times that having kids and taking maternity leave ended promising careers. One woman tells the female lead that she should not get married and have kids. Another debates getting an abortion because she doesn't think they can afford to raise one. While her partner fretfully looks up baby related costs to see if he can budget it in.
It was interesting to see Ha-Kyung's ex-fiance and his new wife have to deal with the repercussions and aftermath of some of their decisions. And how both main leads really learned a lot about themselves through the process of being cheated on, and what their exes found lacking in their relationships both with them and with their new partners.
I didn't connect with this drama and it makes it seem like being a forecaster is one of the worst jobs to have, which isn't that fun to watch for 16 episodes.

I don't even know
I had such high hopes for this kdrama. The clips I had seen made it look so interesting but what even was that. I found myself dreading every episode yet hoping it'd get better. But it didn't and I didn't want to stick around for the rest. The storyline was trying to make fetch happen (if you know what I mean). The beginning was good and I liked both ML and FL but why did they even get together? It made no sense. The only thing they had in common was that they both got cheated on. I don't think that's good for a lasting relationship. And the SML and SFL were straight up ANNOYING!!

A slow paced drama, that starts well but becomes repetitive and boring.
I had really enjoyed the previous works of both main leads, so I was quite excited to start this. I watched it as it was airing, and during the first couple of episodes, I thought okay, this looks like it could be interesting. And towards the middle of the drama, things were picking up and I was genuinely invested in the characters' lives. But after that things just go downhill.Conflicts kept arising which would usually be okay, but all the conflicts were so similar to each other. Just there to sow discord and doubt in the main couple's relationship. This caused the drama to feel draggy. At the start, I felt like the chemistry between the main leads was a little lacking, but in the next few episodes I saw their chemistry slowly start to build, and I truly enjoyed watching them go from strangers to people in love, in a realistic way. But that's about it. I feel that this honestly did not need to be as long as it was. 8 episodes would have been enough to tell a nice story that didn't make me want to skip scenes.
As for the side couples, I enjoyed watching the FL's sisters' relationship, they were actually adorable and probably my favorite couple for the series. As for the SML and SFL, I am just so surprised they even worked out. All they seemed to have done the entire series is fight, and it's always the same fight spun in different ways.
Apart from the different couples, the plot was basically non-existent. Every other episode or so there would be some drama about forecasting the weather, and if the prediction would be right or not, it was fun to watch at first, but after the first couple of times I started skipping the forecasting scenes because they all seemed the same. I really wish they had introduced a more complex plot related to their job, so it would just be us watching the home lives of a bunch of people who work in the same field, because thats exactly what it felt like.
All in all, this is definitely not a very memorable drama, and if I didn't watch it while it was airing, I probably would not have finished it. If you really like the leads or want something slow-paced that you don't need to pay a lot of attention to, then pick this up, otherwise I would say skip it.

Development
This was one drama that I was not excited to watch; but gave it a shot anywayCharacters
The ML and FL are great actors and I think that this drama did not help to show that; the drama was more about the weather hence the title of the drama, but I would have liked the main characters to have some growth throughout the drama. I think the SML and the SFL had more growth throughout the drama than the main leads themselves
Likes
1) I liked the music; always nice to hear a good OST for a drama
2) I got to know more about the hardworking people who work to give us people regular weather reports
3) The ML has a smile that you want to drown into
4) The episodes are short and sweet so it does not drag on for too many episodes
Dislikes
1) The FL I love her; but I wish that she did not have the same expression throughout the drama and would have showed much more growth that she has an actresses I know has showed in many other dramas
2) The leading up to the romance of the ML and FL are not really shown, and I think that could somehow improve a bit
3) The people behind the weather reports are really complex, and sometimes I wasn't quite sure why throughout the whole drama the same scenarios always happened, and I think that could have been improved on.
Overall, it was a nice drama with good enough eye candy and good enough plot to let you plow through the drama; although some things could have been improved on, I would definitely recommend people to watch this; even though if your not fans of Song Kang and Park Min-Young.

Actually one of the good K-dramas, here's why.
I just want to start of by saying how I regret not watching this when it aired because of many around me saying how bad it sucked. This drama isn't as bad as everyone claims it to be. As me being 12, I don't think I should have watched it (the first two episodes) on the Brightside, I find it a well put together drama. Their acting's were just amazing however, there was an issue I had with episodes 11-12. Of course it's only normal for K-drama's to have a break up right when the characters get to know each other and settle down but, I just feel like the writer wanted it to be dramatic when it was nothing. There was absolute no reason for them to break up in my point of view. Both main lead roles were acting purely unmatured when coming to their reasoning why they wanted a break up. I don't know much but I do know that they still had strong feelings for each other. ML wants to break up because he thinks his father burdens FL, FL wants to break up because she thinks her ex burdens ML. I honestly find it unbelievable, at the same time the breakup helped their relationship build up don't you think? They get to learn about each other's weaknesses during the time they broke up but still working together in the same place as both of their exes. Let me just say something, at least they didn't give us fish kisses. Second, the director could have shortened the beginning of their relationship. The beginning of their relationship was literally 11 episodes, then in the next they broke up. They got back together in the last episode. It just seemed like they ran out of space, worked hard on the beginning and gave up at the end. Overall the cast worked hard on this, it portrays the struggles meteorologists go through and how their job is heavily important to us. This was one of the few K-dramas that taught me things that made me realize. Weather impacts out lives more than me think. This is seriously well put together but with a few minor issues, tolerable. P.S. many of you guys probably hated FL ex-fiancé but he was the clown of this show alr, he brought all the comedy along with the team members and FL mother.

High hopes ... dashed
Lots of spoilers aheadI wanted to love this as Meteorology is facinating to me. The most exciting bits of this Drama was when the weather was being explained / discussed.
Most of the characters felt hollow or their actions werent really explained, they were just there and as viewers we're supposed to just fill in the blanks.
I absolutely love Park Min-Young but i was disappointed with her character. Despite being a boss she rarely felt like she was in control and never grew much as the show progressed. This was disappointing as there was plenty of room for growth which was filled with what i feel were "filler scenes". Far too many scenes were drawn out with one look to the point where i was getting irritated with the pace. Then suddenly things pick up and go super fast and the important things feel like they aren't looked at as much as the "just looking at someone/something scenes". Also .. how in the world is it okay for one coworker to grab and harass another okay in 2022? Not just the fact that it was a male that did it to a female but if it was any gender. How was that person not arrested and charged. Toxic toxic toxic.
Forcaster Um.... there was room for him to grow but his character just flat lined the whole way. Disappointing. Same as the other members of team 2. So many missed opportunities.
How is it that the cheaters of the show had the most growth in the whole series?? They werent even the lead characters. Blows my mind.
Si-woo felt whiny and childish. He annoyed me from the get go. But one thing i can say is that he was 100 percent correct in wanting to be rid of his father. The fact that director Jin encouraged him to forgive and forget infuriates me. Just because people are your family doesnt mean you need to allow that toxicity into your life.
Kim Mi-kyung is also a favourite actor of mine but her character felt flat. Her character also felt like she barged in and disrupted things for no good reason. This is 2022 .... we're not living in the past. Can we stop with the toxic, overbearing mothers already. We need more love and understanding to be protrayed.
There is alot more i want to say but honestly, the cast line up was fantastic and they did the best with what they had. The story started with an amazing idea and completely bombed due to poor character growth and design. The only reason the cast didnt rank as 10 was because they were unable to act to their full potential. Toxic sterotypes made this a hard watch. I can usually let it go if it was earlier in the decade but we are talking brand new 2022... some of the things portrayed in this drama are so problematic. I know it still happens, but we have to stop romanticising these troupes and start dealing with them in the proper way. If the writers were aiming for cute, light hearted etc etc then they should leave the heavier stuff iut if they cant fit it in with the theme of their show.
Love the cast and premise.... hated the pacing and where the story went.

BLAME IT ON THE WEATHER!!
Okay, here we go… I´m sure that producers, creators, staff and talent worked hard and thought that having an A list actress and a handsome rising star was enough to secure a hot spot in our hearts, well as we know now the boat sank like the titanic.I agree with a lot of the reviewers that stated that they had high hopes for the drama after the first couple episodes. The set up was quite promising with beautiful actresses and handsome actors playing the main couple and supporting couple, but around the fourth episode the series started to go downhill and the good looking talent wasn´t able to keep it afloat. The writing or the direction of the series just went nowhere. At some point I thought that the second couple story line was more interesting and the writers decided to explore that, and forgot about our main couple.
My theory:
Then it got me thinking that perhaps the second couple was the main couple at the start of the project, if so that would have been way more interesting, but then Park Min Young and Song Kang were casted as the other characters and the creators had to compromise by changing the story. As a result we ended up with Yoon Park overshowing everybody and even the story line. It does feel like the SML had to carry the entire show. And the funny thing is that his character isn´t supposed to be likable. He cheated on Park Min Young´s character and came out triumphant. Seriously, I have never seen that happening…
My advise:
Song Kang please choose better projects in the future or simply fire your current management and hire Park Seo Joon´s ;)

Boring
The drama explores the intricacies of relationships, focusing on how individuals set priorities and manage their personal and professional lives. It emphasizes the importance of balance, mutual understanding, and communication in a relationship, whether it's a new one, a just-married couple, or a long-term marriage. It highlights the struggles faced by each stage of a relationship, demonstrating that breakup isn't the only solution; rather, it's about overcoming challenges together.
The portrayal of the female lead's mother was particularly impressive; she truly captured the essence of her role.
Additionally, the drama shed light on the challenges faced by those working in weather forecasting, something I hadn't considered before.
However, the chemistry between the main leads was lacking, which was a flaw in an otherwise engaging drama.
