Ryuji is entrusted with gathering information about the 87 year old patient Moriyama who is hospitalized for gastric cancer. However, no matter what he asks Moriyama, who has dementia, Ryuji doesn't get an answer. In the end, Nurse Yoshikawa decides to get information from the helper. Based on that information, Ryuji comes up with a treatment plan but the senior doctors, considering his condition and his age, decide to go without surgery. One night, Moriyama suddenly stands up and Ryuji is left wondering why...
