Cinematic experience. We met again Zhao Lusi. Last I saw her from the romance Rose and tiger(?) sorry I don't remember the exact title. Can't wait to watch this one. Hv high expectation coz everyone hv been talking about it. Another actress that I saw again was the one who played as Madam Ge, I saw her in wrong carriage, right groom before and other dramas before this. Wait... FL's mother, Xiao Yuanyi too... I don't remember which drama I saw her before but myb like in two or three dramas. What was the connection btwn that Dong person with the Headmaid Li?? So I guess she tried to hide him and the excuse to fetch FL was great cover for her. Did she overthink that he was saying that or did ML really implying that?? Omg

The camera work is so good in this episode - no words really needed to show the majestic, regal,strong general cutting to the unfortunate yet strong and witty beauty and all the political and family drama that is about to unfold.

Solid introduction to the main leads and Shaoshang's family situation. The sprinkles of comedy throughout the episode keeps it from feeling too stiff

I just started this, and it's so good. I came for Zhao Lusi, but love the cinematography, direction and acting of every character so so much. 👏

The first time LBY and CSS met is just one of a kind. LBY already know he found the one 😁 CSS is just so smart for the Chrng family. At first i pity CSS mother because she had sacrificed her time with her sons and daughters due to war, but then she really gets on my nerves.

Very good drama! I had to skip a few scenes for episode 1-4 bc it was slowly getting develop and felt that some of the scenes I didn’t need the extra info. Nice behind the story episode 1-4 tho to understand the characters being presented. But all the fun starts from episode4 and up. But still do watch episode 1-4 for back story

You get a glimpse of how FL was raised, or better said abandoned to raise herself, and how she is naturally smart and upstanding. Her reunion with her family who abandoned her with her relatives to go ti war , does not bring her any love, due to her mother strict attitude - only father is kind, behind his wife back...

Very dark characters and a lot of whining but the acting is impeccable so far. The protagonists, have a chance meeting and it was a subtle but strong encounter.

Love Lusi! She never disappoints... waiting to see who shines besides her and Leo... At first I wasn't going to watch because I loved Leo in TLB with Reba -- glad I did... completed first 12 episodes in a day & a half... couldn't turn it off.

The 1st conversation of LBY and CSS. CSS being punished by her 2nd auntie and grandmother she was sent out to small house outsidde. Upon her pick up there is a seaching of a person. CSS carriage was going to search, she open the window and point her hand out the person hidding to LBY. Out of curiousity, LBY went to Cheng general to express his gratitude to her. She secretly sneak out from her room and peek out from 2nd floor, at that time she only can see his back shoulder.

It's just the beginning and I love it lol. If your hesitant, just watch it and try for about the first 9 or 10 episodes, this gets better and better and still laughing as I rewind the scenes...

I didn’t grasp the story right away which is natural since it is only first episode. It is different from typical C Drama start wherein you’ll get at least an inkling of an idea as to the lead character. Don’t expect that here. It’ll be by 3rd episode before you get an idea of the kind of character the female lead will play. As to the male lead, you get very basic military that will trick you that he will meet the female lead yet it’s half baked. They met in first episode but not face to face.
