This drama's story line is original, the characters are very interesting and although plot lines are freaking full of cliches as what the Hong Sister's usually do with their drama's, but the heck! It doesn't matter, because they use the cliche in its full potential.
Episode 1 was a strong entry for this drama and for a sucker of romcom, it hooked me so much I had to watch episode per episode, week by week. Which is very unusual of me because I usually watch a drama when it's done airing and all episode/subtitles are out. The last time I did that was when Hana Yori Dango was aired in Japan. So this drama is dear to my heart because I felt the potential from episode 1 and it never disappointed me (until episode 16) which sort of felt like a filler of an episode that's why I had to rate it an over all 9/10. BUT! Episode 17 made up for it so their's no point in worrying for just one episode.
The characters were very solid, I loved the mannerism Ji-sub came up for his character Joo Jong-won. He had that hand gestures which I find rather appealing for the type of guy he was portraying. An egoistic rich guy who had less to care for in the world. As for Hyo-jin, she was very convincing and really catchy as Tae Gong-shil. Although within the drama there were sudden shifts in her character. I am not referring to the times she was possessed, I'm talking about when she's being really the strong/angry type of Taeyang and not the seemingly Sweet-Naive-Candy type of Taeyang. There were sudden shifts and it was annoying me because she was sort of getting out of character. I think I had to find that fault in the writers or director, it was annoying. Because if her character was the soft one - it has to be consistent. If they were going to make her strong... that personality had to stick-like in what they did to episodes 16 and 17. But when her character shifted to a strong one in around episode 11 then revert to her old self at episode 12, it was like she had to act within her acting. If you get what I mean... and because of that I had to give another 9/10 for the story because the character is based on that.
Now that being said and done, I have to give compliments for the music, because it was catchy and unforgettable. It's like nostalgia sticks to the music and as for the re-watch value, I say... HELL YEAH! I am going to watch it over and over again, never mind those ghost infested scenes-they aren't really scary if I don't think too much about it.
If you are a fan of romcom and of the Hong Sister's writing style, you'll love this. You won't be disappointed with this. YOU BETTER WATCH THIS.

Good Enough
As a fan of Kong Hyo Jin, but a big scary cat who hates horror, I was fifty fifty whether to watch it or not. But, turned out that the horror stuff weren't difficult to handle. They were scary, sure, and well made and presented, with nice SGI, but they were brief as well and the story tended to leave them behind and move on with the main story. So, the plot was good, though I found it a bit slow. The love triangle was nice as well, but ended quickly and the drama focused on the main couple, who were really cute together. The small ghost cases, moreover, were interesting and saved the otherwise weak plot. The performances were good as well. Finally, the side stories were a bit annoying, and the final twist was predictable. So, 6.5 out of 10.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

The added element of thriller/horror/creepy feeling was brilliant and though scary for me at first, watching in the darkness of my bedroom at 3AM, I soon learned to be calm with it and some were even sad :(
The acting is great. The girl's a little clingy for me at times (especially the beginning) but the guy is awesome. Love how they've made them very memorable characters. Good drama!
*Haven't rewatched but I would imagine that would be the re-watch value haha.

I really liked this drama. When I saw the genres, I was really amazed because there's horror, comedy, mystery and thriller and of course, the romance that completes the recipe of almost all stories. And yes, as I finished it, all of the stated genres were really experienced. You'll find yourself sobbing, laughing, thinking, getting thrilled, and the feeling of love.
The story has a lot of twists which will make you wonder almost all of the time. It is a fast-phased drama, which will really make every moment, every episode important. So for those who are thinking of skipping an epi, better not do that.
While watching, I saw comments saying they stopped watching because it is scary, actually no. It wasn't really scary. Ghosts? As I watched this drama, my perspective on ghosts really changed. You'll find them interesting and you might even find yourself pitying them and maybe a flashback of memories from your past might occur
The OSTs were really daebak. It suits the feeling of the scenes being shown. The script was really great, besides the story-line being different from other dramas, there are quotes that might help you in your lives.
And maybe in the end, you'll have that "kojo" hangover in your head. Hahaha

The storyline was great, both romantic and funny, especially with the puns that were scattered throughout each episode. The subtle messages between that fine line of appropriate and almost-sexually-inappropriate was hilarious and wonderful. I don't think that I've actually ever watched another drama that has this same storyline, so props to the scriptwriter for originality. If there's anything that I would want them to work on, it'd be the storyline for the whole kidnapping thing. It seemed like the central theme at first, but then slowly got pushed to the side. Don't get me wrong, I'm not peeved about it, but it seemed to be dragged out a bit too long since it kind of got pushed to the shadows after the first few episodes.
The cast was fantastic! I could not have chosen anyone better to play Gong Shil than Gong Hyo Jin. I can't even imagine another actress that would have played Gong Shil's character better than how Gong Hyo Jin portrayed her. So Ji Sub was a pleasant surprise when I first heard that he joined the cast, and now that it's over, I would love to see him in more romantic comedies after this performance. He plays the character of a sarcastic but realistic CEO very well.
The OST was incredible as well. The background music was played in very well-suited parts that fit the mood, and I could not have asked for better singers that could bring forth their emotions.
Just for the comedy and the sexual-but-not-sexual puns, I would definitely rewatch this again. Even though the chemistry between the two leads isn't exactly steamy and sizzling, they definitely have that connection there. The extra episode extension was played well too, as it didn't feel rushed at all. If anything, I felt like the extra episode sort of dragged things out a bit, but it's nothing that deters the drama from it's value.
Overall, this drama was very well-done and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic-comedy.

So obviously, it was because of him that I started watching this drama. However, despite my unconditional inclination towards him, I'm not the kind of person who'd give out a biased review and so to be completely honest, even though Master's Sun has a lot of perks, it isn't as dazzling and mind blowing as people claim it to be.
I mean an 8.8 rating? Hm dramalist, you know that's pushing it a little bit, no? But then again, if trash like Love O2O can get as high, I think we'll let it slide.
Story:
Even though the premise of this show is quite unique, it hasn't truly escaped the KDrama cliche. You've got your recurring theme of amnesia, the "I love you so I'll let you go" bs, the martyr-esque actions on the hero's behalf, the unnecessary back and forth love between the main leads and of course the irrelevant draggy parts where the creators thought of prolonging the story into further two hour episodes instead of wrapping it up in one like it should've been.
However, the reason why all of these minor flaws are overlooked is because this drama gives so much joy. All the characters are extremely likable and throughout its episodes it somehow manages to maintain a steady rhythm that keeps the viewers interested. Every episode has a new ghost story, while simultaneously having a backbone that gave the serial its direction. The characters develop beautifully; they grow into themselves and by the last episode all of them had evolved into mature and three-dimensional personas.
Cast:
The thing I love about So JiSub is that he always delivers a performance where I can look past his name and immerse my self into the character he plays. When I watched Master's Sun, it wasn't So JiSub that made me relentlessly crack up, rather it was President Joo.
The best term to describe Joo Joong Won is adorably nasty. He's very materialistic, selfish and practical and yet he radiates innocence. When he's being a brat and telling people to get lost, instead of getting offended you can't help but want to squeeze his cheeks. Every thing that comes out of his mouth is just plain hilarious.
Countless of times, I had to press the pause button so that I could get my laughter in control. He's incredibly witty and his comebacks always gave me so much life. At the same time he is a very loyal and devoted man and you can't stop all the warm and gooey feels that erupt wherever he's concerned. I swear, I'd be his candy girl a thousand times over.
This is my first drama by Gong Hyo Jin and I admit that I was a little apprehensive. Not gonna lie, I'm a pretty shallow person and even though I preach about inner beauty, I do like my characters to be pretty. Tae Gong Shil literally held up her middle finger in the face of every single stereotype that society associates with beauty. Her hair has never seen a brush, she stinks, she has major panda eyes, her clothing is "drab" (if we're being kind) and she doesn't give enough fucks to be embarrassed about it whatsoever.
Now starring against a man who's so incredibly handsome is very hard when you're playing such a supposedly dull character. However, soon enough you start to see her pretty heart and you start to love her for who she really is. She is kind hearted, strong and persistent. Even though in the beginning she appears to be an insecure and weak woman, soon we discover the deadly claws she's been hiding. She's extremely blunt for what she wants and if she wants you to know you're no good, best believe you'll know it. She can cut you up pretty nicely and later in the show she more than makes up for all the times she had to deal with Joo Joong's shit.
One very refreshing thing about this drama was how honest the main leads were with each other. They don't have the same petty misunderstandings that usually plague KDrama relationships. They have conversations, they talk and stabilize themselves as independent people before being together and that was something I really respected.
The side characters are also pretty amazing. Secretary Kim, Kang Woo, Yi Riyeong, Joo Won's aunt, her husband and even Tae Gong Shil's older sister and her blabbermouth brought their own to the show.
This serial has so much fluff and happiness and is truly a feel good drama. Despite all this though, I don't think I'll be rewatching it anytime soon for it doesn't bring forth drastic bursts of emotion and isn't exactly a never before seen phenomenon.
It has a more of a "enjoy it while it lasts and then say goodbye" vibe. And that's exactly what I'm doing for despite all of its cuteness, it isn't something you cannot let go of.

So Ji Sub is very handsome and his cute acting in this drama will melt your heart. My only complaint is that the drama was too short.

The uniqueness of the ghost concept is such a strong story line that makes this drama so great. I am a person who gets scared very easily, so the first two episodes made me uncomfortable at times because of the horror aspect, but because the story associated with these scary moments was so compelling I tried my hardest to get over these fears and enjoy it. Lucky enough these scary moments only last for the first couple episodes anyway. I even found myself wanting these scary moments back throughout the episodes.
The cast of this drama was thought out perfectly. I didn't find myself disliking any of the actors and how they portrayed their role. It is very hard to love a character who works against the story line or interferes, but I enjoyed everyone's story. For example Joo Sung Ran, Joong Won's aunts story line wasn't needed in this drama and I didn't feel it had such an important role in the main story line. BUT the addition of her story was so sweet and added such a good feeling to this drama. I think deciding to add things like this made the success of this drama.
The relationship between Joo Goon and Tae Yang was really unique. I loved the complicated journey their relationship took and how they made their happiness arrive after the right amount of suffering and justification. You can often find that couples in dramas come together in the end just for the sake of love and their reasoning for getting together isn't explained properly or their previous problems were not fixed. But in this drama, although their words sometimes confused me, I found that all of their problems were solved and I felt comfortable with their return to each other.
Overall this drama gets all of the recognition it deserves. It is a must see for anyone who enjoys romance, drama and it even adds in aspects for horror/supernatural lovers. Don't let this drama slip through your fingers and watch it!!!!

Story: This drama wasn't scary at all. Maybe there were some scenes that could be considered scary, but they didn't scare me much. The story was very much like Secret Garden, especially the last part. And the ending was very rushed. But the mystery of Joong Won and his dead girlfriend was very interesting. And they executed that pretty well.
Romance: I liked the love triangle. It wasn't much of a triangle though because it was obvious that Gong Shil didn't like Kang Woo that much. The chemistry between Joong Won and Gong Shil was pretty good. All the touching made for some pretty funny scenes and I really liked the romance.
Characters: I really liked all the characters. But the only person for whom I watched this drama was little Man Se (Lee Do Hyun as Lee Seung Mo)! I loved him in PM&I and I wanted to see him again so I watched Master's Sun. He was adorable in this drama too!
I loved Joong Won! I think this has more to do with So Ji Sub being so good looking! But the character wasn't that bad either. I didn't like Gong Shil at first but I loved her transformation and was so glad that she changed. I loved Kang Woo! Again, that had more to do with him being played by Seo In Guk. But I really liked his scenes with Yi Ryung. It was weird seeing Eun Sang's mother from Heirs in this drama playing such a different role. Her husband was pretty funny. All in all, I really liked all the characters.
Final Verdict: Overall, this was a really good drama! It was funny and cute and mysterious and I really enjoyed watching it! Highly recommended!
