Everything is wrong with this episode.

This episode started out ok with a scene of backstory from two best friends sperated in childhood. Fast forward a nondisclosed number of years and the boys are in college. Except they don't identify half the characters by name and I was never able to determine which were the two boys and if they were ever reunited. Then we are introduced to two random selfish, narcississtic girls only one of whom is named. They aren't likeable nor important.Later we are introduced to 6 shallow, bitchy transgender girls who do nothing but put on hideous makeup and talk about how hot they are. They are stereotypical and spend 1/3 of the show being aggressive and giving transgender people a bad name. They do nothing to advance a plot. The music playing incessantly in the background is like video game music. It is annoying, repetitive and doesn't fit the mood of the show most of the time. There are several scenes with two sets of friends, one actually including a normal girl. They don't always identify who is who and the plot still isn't revealed nor do they reveal who the opening scene boys were. Finally this show is very poorly translated with many, many spelling errors. Based on the trailer I was looking forward to this sjow but it isn't well done at all.

Between Us (2021) Episode 1

Episode 1 had a number of issues that I hope will be addressed on succeeding episodes. Not much was provided in terms of plot/storyline. This episode simply introduced the main and supporting characters. Sadly, there were already red flags on this pilot episode. There were stereotypical portrayals of vain women and comic relief effeminate queers. Screenplay had corny lines. Dialogues that were intended to be funny didn't quite hit the mark. Acting by the main cast members was at least watchable. It's also good that both lead actors, especially Josh, are charming in their own ways. I also sense some potential with regard to their chemistry. Audio-visuals were weak. There were bothersome background noises and blurry and grainy camera shots. The actors’ make-up distracted more than enhanced the visuals of this series. Make-up should make the characters appear more natural. Soundtracks "Piso" (Peso) and "Kailanpaman" (Ever Again) by Boys of Six were just ok. All in all, this series needs to be better in the next episodes.
