Love in the air? More like abuse in the air, at least for now.

I had to stop watching after the love interest throws Rain on his bed and sexually harassed him.

Let me say I'm all for watching problematic things, but the problem is when such shows expect us to find them romantic & hot. And it's working. Many people who commented on yt find this "relationship" hot, charming, sexy...

Even if you are into someone, that person has no right to keep harassing you.
People who romanticize abuse and toxic relationship start screaming right away "it's a show they're not REAL people". Yes it's a show. But if you watch thriller & crime series or a movies you also don't throw your morals away. When you see abuse you say "that's wrong". When you read a book you probably say "wow she/he was harassed that's terrible". Even if it's not real people, it's a horrible situation. But somehow people forget about morals when it comes to abuse in BL.

You know what is very real? Lines that Phyau says "you are throwing yourself at me", "you are playing hard to get". And I see people being crazy about these lines in the comments. Somehow these lines are super hot.
You can watch this show, you can find characters interesting, funny, charismatic... but you can also see what's right and what's wrong. It's disgusting how many people defend Phayu's actions and they find them sexy.
You watching this show, it doesn't make you a bad person. You romanticizing abuse and harassment makes you a bad person. Because my only thought is... if you defend abuse, you're probably abusive person yourself. Or at least a person who clearly doesn't respect themselves if you'd love to be treated the way that Rain is being treated.
You can love a show and also disagree with character's behaviour.

Phayu is a very abusive person... and Rain 100% deserves better. After a while I finished watching ep 1 and I started with ep 2 but after Rain was spanked, and after the kiss I stopped again.

Showing abusive behavior is fine. But it's not fine when you only do it because you want people to find this kind of thing hot. It's fine when you show that one of the characters comes to a conclusion that he doesn't deserve this. Or another characters helps him to come to this conclusion. Or at least when an abusive character comes to a conclusion that he f---ed up. And works on himself to become a better person.


If you're watching the show then that's fine with me. I might check it out later on myself to see if things get worse or better for Rain because I really adore his character. But from experience toxic characters like Phayu in BL's usually don't get much better. I could be wrong and he will grow as a character, and realize what he's doing is all kinds of f---ed up. But I don't have much hope. I'll drop the series for now and come back when more episodes will be out. It's such a shame really, because I fell in love with Rain's character right away. I love dorky characters like him.

I really wish all harassment wouldn't be shown and Rain would just fall asleep at Phayu's and then accidentally at night they start cuddling or something in their sleep. Like Rain rolls over more to Phayu's side and Phayu's hand accidentally hugs Rain for example.

I love love the four nain characters.. Well Payu and Rain for now tho... The chemistry is really genuine and sooo real... Damn Payu is hooooooooot (in a way he kinda turns me on??????i know sone people are saying Rain is in a toxic relationship ?Toxic! How! Payu is just a flirtatious person, i mean come on don't u guys want a partner that maked u feel the heat and intensity ???And Payu literally rode his motorbike in the RAIN! Just to see Rain who was feeling down, he gave him some pretty nice advice and lecture him to take responsibility and u guys are here telling me it TOXIC!!! U all are haters

I love the series.... It NEW, the bikes are dope, the songs are great, cast HOT

So guys U HAVE GOT TO WATCH... DON'T MIND THE HATERS

Unnatural Character Development

This was the first show to give me whiplash with a character's actions. The show wasn't even that deep or detailed but Rain's character in the middle of episode 2 instantly felt OOC. You can't establish a character and then have them break character instantly. It deceives the audience's expectations. There has to be foreshadowed progression.

I'm not even done watching episode 2 but because of that one scene i can't take it seriously anymore or even pay attention to read the subtitles.

I never thought that a show that seemed decent and promising in episode 1 could turn me off it in the next episode. Even the more bland shows, i watched more episodes then this.

THE BEST SERIES I HAVE EVER WATCHED SO FAR

First i would like to review 2nd part- LoveSky
Epi 8-13
1. FortPeat just nailed their roles, incredible acting, great chemistry.
2. The storyline is amazing- intense and emotional.
3. Sky is cute and prapai is handsome and hot.
4. Music is fantastic.
5. Watched this series for RainPaayu but ended by loving SkyPrapai.

Epi 1-7 LoveStorm
1. The chemistry of BossNoeul is awsome.
2. This part is very funny and gripping one.
3. Baby rain is very cute and paayu is hotty.
4. Story is predictable, but cute
5. Great Cinematography and music.

Overall i loved this series very much. Kudos to the way it was presented. Both stories are totally different from each other. I personally loved LoveSky i.e 2nd part of the series. I was just speechless after watching it. This was kind of freash breath of air.
Highly recommended series!!!

Impressed

Well at first let me start with the visuals. I mean what were the chances of having two real pretty boys like Boss and Force in the same series but here we are lol. The actors playing Rain and Sky were total cuties too but guess I Couldn't move my eyes much from Payu and Prapai to notice them lol no offence.

The thing I loved the most was that the series paid equal attention to both the couples and even though the story was not that exciting or too new of concept for a bl but yet it had the charisma to keep the audience hooked. The acting and actors were perfectly on point. The director and everyone included did a fantastic job and it deserves all the good words.

Now for the first story everything was smooth. Rain is such a dumb yet adorable character with tons of drama and trust me everyone loves a smol drama king lol. And Payu with his visuals and that seductive voice killed it. Both acted so well in their parts. So much chemistry and and the story was fun to watch obviously. And well unlike some other bls it actually showed us what students go through lol.

Now for the second couple.. The story was a bit darker and Force did an amazing job as Prapai. Not only he accepted his feelings for Sky, he immediately started working on them and totally changed himself. The way he took care of Sky and was so soft spoken to him just gave me butterflies inside my whole body. We all need a Prapai of our own now don't we? But guess prapais are only fictional and cannot be found in real life lol. He had the best character development. A literal green flag of a character for sure.
The only thing that bothered me a bit was the actor who played Sky. This character had depth and I think the acting could have been better specially the scenes where he's scared or crying. These crying scenes seemed so forced idk why his expressions were constant. He has great Potentials and hopefully he'll do better in his upcoming projects.

Can't wait to see more works from the cast. Man I need so much more of them fr.

I don't know what it is about Mame's couples that makes them extremely shippable! Especially Mew Gulf and Ja First, I can't get enough of them!

Love In The Air was no exception, but while I really enjoyed Payu Rains story I basically fell in love with Sky Prapai!

I mean everyone from Noulle to Boss is attractive, but I don't know what it is about Peat Fort that I have literally watching them everywhere lol and just shipping them bad!

their story made more of an impact on me obviously, cause I love angsty, emotional red flag couples like Vegas Pete, Tharn Type, and Leo Fiat :')

buuut tbh Prapai is basically a less insecure Leo, and Lei Fiat have some toxicness to them like Tharn Type that makes it even more shippable for me lol but for once I guess Im more into how wholesome Sky Prapai's relationship is! and despite their conflicts they always find their way to each other. Also the intimate scenes are just hot and a little depraved which I love.


So yes, all in all, it's not perfect by any chance, writing wise or direction wise but still the couples made an impact on me. stood out from the rest.
And that finale was really something!

Incredible effort

The series is divided into two parts, one where we have rain and payu, second where we have sky and prapai.
I really liked both the stories, both the storylines are different from one another. The acting is amazing, specially sky's character is so well enacted that genuinely feel all the pain and the struggle that character had faced.
The series with rain and payu's story is extremely sensual and has a different intake on relationship between two person with different personalities, one of them being talented and mature self made man where as on the other being cheerful but slightly Immature student. They work on each other and embrace their flaws and help each other to grow.
Ok something might not be acceptable like payu trying to seduce rain against his will, agreed but rest of the story where he encourages, supports and protects him was quite nice to watch.
Whereas if I talk about sky and prapai, literally & honestly l wasn't prepared for such a heart breaking story. I really really have to appreciate the acting skills of both the actors. Such an innocent character portrayed so convincingly that you connect with him so much. You can so feel the fear, anxiety and the horrible pain sky has been through and prapai genuine urge to love him.
The story does start with a misunderstanding, in my personal opinion prapai wont have forced sky to do anything but since sky's character was to broken and used to all this that he just gave in. I love the character development in the series. How prapai felt sky's pain and held him or how sky could finally rely on someone who really loves him. It was a really beautiful story and a tough one to watch in a sensitive way as well as heartfelt way.

Good series that is also a BL

I really liked the series as a series and as a BL. I highlight a few points:

1) It has given us the option to see the two stories complete and independently. Normally this is not the case and the "second couple" is overshadowed.

2) Great chemistry of the Boss-Neoul couple. It's a typical enemies to lovers story but with nuances of maturity in the relationship that I liked. I was surprised by the naturalness with which Rain (Noeul) accepts having a relationship with a boy.

3) Very good story of the Fort-Peat couple. Sky's character is very complex and I think the series reflects well what happened to him in the past and how he lives it in his day to day life.

4) Finally, I would like to highlight the excellent acting of Fort, the youngest actor in the cast (22) whose character is older. Besides being very handsome his acting in the emotional scenes is very believable and the evolution of his character from carefree playboy to man in love has been great. I'm looking forward to seeing him in his next work (Moments of Love).

MAME, reflexiona

Cuando una ve una historia de MAME sabe a lo que va; es decir, los protagonistas se van a comportar de forma abusiva 100% seguro y, por supuesto, eso se va a hacer pasar por romántico... y aquí lo tenemos.

En cuanto a la primera pareja:

Sé que es una opinión bastante impopular, pero no soporto a Phayu. Sé que a gran parte de la audiencia le parece un tipo ideal, pero es una bandera roja con patas, manipulador y controlador. Basta ya esto de "no, para ser MAME, esto no es tóxico"... queridas, un chico que manipula el coche del tío que le parece guapo y después se dedica a insultarle para que tenga ganas de conocerle... Sólo decir: arroba policía y que detengan a quien ha tenido idea semejante como inicio de una relación presumiblemente romántica. Sigo sin entender la voltereta mental de Rain para decir "ah sí, pues voy a seducirle y que se jorobe" ; en qué cabeza cabe esa línea argumental. Las relaciones no funcionan así o, al menos, las sanas no lo hacen.

Huelga decir que Phayu es un narcisista de campeonato. Puedo comulgar con que sea el típico-tío-que-todo-lo-hace-bien, pero todo tiene un límite. Casi me veo las conexiones sinápticas de poner los ojos en blanco con tanto "es que te interesa conocerme", "lo he hecho para que me conozcas", "es que así seguro que querías saber cómo soy"... muchacho, nadie es para tanto. Siete capítulos de este par se me han hecho largos y, ojo, que en todos ellos nos enteramos de media vida de Phayu, sus intereses, sus habilidades... y de nada de Rain. Bueno, sí, de que tiene una madre. Y nos enteramos de eso porque Phayu, violando toda intimidad, va a casa de Rain a buscarle porque "no me puede dar calabazas después de habernos acostado una unidad de veces". Prefiero no entrar ahí porque arroba policía x2.

En cuanto a la segunda pareja:

Pai es arroba policía x3. De verdad, qué difícil tienen los protagonistas masculinos de MAME la comprensión del NO. Creo que en esta historia es especialmente horrendo llevar el argumento por ahí teniendo en cuenta la agresión sexual sufrida por Sky (bueno, agresiones, en plural, incluyo la primera vez que se acuesta con Pai sin lugar a dudas). MAME tenía un tema del que hacer algo diferente y ha utilizado la oportunidad para mal. Que sí, que Pai se redime en los últimos capítulos y se porta como toda persona debería portarse con su pareja (tampoco hay que darle un premio), pero vaya acosador.

Por destacar una cosa en esta historia es que me parece que hace bastante aguas el tema de que Rain y Sky sean amigos; ni harta de vino dejo yo al tipo que está acosando a mi amigo y al que no conozco quedarse a cuidar a mi amigo enfermo. Entiendo que es para crear la situación romántica y todo eso pero... es que no tiene sentido.

En cuanto a actuación/música/producción:

La música, bajo mi punto de vista, pasa sin pena ni gloria. Hay grandes temas para pedir un cubata, sobre todo en la segunda parte de la serie, pero poco más. La edición, mucha más pena que gloria, la verdad. Y la actuación... para mí Peat hace el mejor trabajo, seguido de Boss. También he de decir que, con el guión que tienen y las situaciones ridículas que han de interpretar, pues mucho hacen todos.

Ahora, es verdad que la serie es entretenida y si estás buscando algo que te eleve las pulsaciones, MAME en eso no defrauda.
