Mr. Perfect and Miss Almost (2020)

Cute, optimistic, humanistic series

The plot is very classic: fake -Marriage, then contract (grandfather's wish and need for accommodation) between 1 cold math teacher and 1 student, who "warms" him step by step.

But this story is told through two great actors (Miles Wei & Xu Ruo Han) and their interactions, their chemistry is cute and moving. The FL shows great maturity for a 20 year old girl :) -for once-
The 2ary romances (friend & sister, which show other forms of couples and evolution) are well thought out, coherent, realistic.

The premise of the series is a bit "dramaland", but the storyline is cohesive and the pace lively enough, that there is no length.

This is the second time I watch this series, and probably not the last ;)

Le plot est très classique : fake -Marriage, puis contrat (souhait du grand père et besoin d'un logement) entre 1 professeur de maths froid et 1 étudiante, qui le "réchauffe" peu à peu.
Mais cette histoire est déclinée par deux grands acteurs (Miles Wei & Xu Ruo Han) et leurs interactions, leur alchimie sont savoureuses et émouvantes. La ML fait preuve d'une grande maturité pour une fille de 20 ans :) -pour une fois-
Les romances 2aires (amie & sœur, qui déclinent d'autres formes de couples et d'évolution) sont bien pensées, cohérentes, réalistes.

Les prémisses de la série sont un peu "dramaland", mais la storyline cohérente et le rythme assez vif, pour qu'il n'y ait aucune longueur.

C'est la seconde fois que je regarde cette série, et sans doute pas la dernière ;)

Cliche tropes but gives you a warm feeling❤️

First of all I watched this drama back in 2020 but had to drop at ep 15 or something bcoz of some personal stuff. I rem it was goood and was sad I had to drop. Anyways it is still as fresh as I watched the first time. Couple who actually communicates is a sexy concept?Have you ever saw a drama where the 2nd leads having a good romance with zero to no misunderstanding and wished they had a spin off? PAC is exactly like that?the 2nd and 3rd couples having all that type of miscom thingey and Main leads having a peaceful romance was really refreshing! Now coming to the story it was the typical contract marriage but what makes it stand out is that the leads being mature and respecting each others opinion. Not the silly gonna bully u to make u realize i have a crush on u lol . Also it was really refreshing to see FL being the one to take initiatives in kissing(love020 can't relate). Sinian will be the greenest flag in cdramas. I really how he actually takes care her,apologize when its due and understands her. And not to forget how he sets boundary on the girl who loves him(cute programmer can't relate) when he said he have someone to hug I actually screameddd. Now coming to the FL who says she is immature!? she maybe childlike and innocent but her worldview is so amazing!And Ilove how they complement each other?). Can't rem other characters story bcoz I was too focused on main characters. So in my opinion you should def give a try!

Nice from the inside, bad from the outside

Cast, Acting, Visuals, Story are ok. Nothing too cringy and for those days when you looking for the typical weak girl, strong boy Drama.
BUTTTT!
What bugged me the most is how they put the Drama together (FOR REAL?)
The scenes were abruplty cut and didn´t blend well. I only realized then how to actually appreciate good camera and cutting work.
EVEN THE MUSIC was misplaced and DID NOT fit into the situation.
Girl is talkin bout some serious stuff and you play some type of happy music in the background one would play during winning some card game LOL?? AINT IT.
You cannot say it´s only me who noticed that....

NEVERTHELESS it is by far not the worse Drama, it is quite watchable and cute.
But nothing special, if my Friends would ask me for recommendations, I´d definitely forget this one.

If you are thinking of watching this drama. I really recommend you too. Honesly, I watched two episodes and then i dropped thinking it wasn’t for me. Then I thought of giving it a other chance and i’m so glad that i did. A lot of people are saying the main female lead is very cringe and i disagree. As someone me who has seen a handful of chinese dramas, i don’t think the female lead character is cringe. I wont lie and say they are moments when second hand embarrassment hits you but they aren’t has bad that i seen from other dramas. I would say this female lead character is one of my favorites female leas character from cdramas. The chemistry between the male lead and female is very good as well. Please give it try.

much better than i thought!

just like what all the reviews are saying this is definitely a perfect and casual drama. i really thought the main lead was gonna be cold hearted mean typa guy but he was honestly so sweet and nice, the only flaw he had was the he was too nit picky but that doesn't really happen a lot in the drama. this drama was really simple but gave me a lot of second hand embarrassment haha. i could definitely feel their chemistry which is why i think it was even better. and despite that this drama was really simple there was a lot of kiss scenes which i was NOT expecting and the girl was the one who made the move first and i LOVE ITT. also i love the fact that there was no love triangle i mean there was a bit in the beginning but he was really cool about it and they didn't really have any conflicts in here, i felt like yun lan and lu yu had more conflicts than sinian and yun shu lol.

definitely would recommend to watch and i will probably watch it again the future!! also i finished it within 2 days XD

I Fell Hard for the ML in this One

I loved this drama!! I now know that I absolutely irrevocably love the high-IQ low-EQ trope and based on how much fun I had watching the ML, a Professor of Mathematics, stumble and fumble his way around the foreign world of romance.

So the leads were both stunning on-screen and with incredible chemistry, so much so that I forgot I was watching a drama. Both their characters were well-written and well-developed. Their relationship developed so naturally (once you get over the fake marriage and having-to-live-together thing...lol) and it was a realistic and not-over-the-top kind of romance that I have come to expect from c-romcoms. This one was different. No stupid breakups, just the kind of misunderstandings you'd expect from 2 people who had no intention of falling in love but who struggle to come to terms with their budding feelings.

Prof. Zhang was the cutest clueless-when-it-comes-to-love ML. I looooved that this drama was stripped of the problematic consent issues in most c-dramas I've watched, instead just a respectful ML who CAN ACTUALLY COMMUNICATE. Xu Ruo Han was splendid for a college girl who suddenly takes up more than she bargained for when she enters into a deal with her Professor.

Also, I just loved that this drama had none of the usual triggers that at the end of the drama I have to deduct points for. I did think the side stories were not so engaging. Otherwise, I had my fill of romcom saccharine cliches to guarantee giggling and squealing in the middle of the night.

I LOVE IT

this was such a cute drama with just right amount of fluff, fun, angst and drama.

the acting is superb, from the main cast to supporting cast and the grandpa character just gave this drama a finishing touch and its perfect. i watched this on youtube and i saw the comments saying they felt 2nd embarrasement in watching it because of the female main lead which i dont get at all??? she's cute and i didnt felt that at all???? she played the character so well. now on the male male lead, i always know him as a good actor so i already know this is gonna be good and he didn't dissapoint! he suits these type of characters so much lol

i love the main couple so much, they just paired so well and i felt the chemistry even on the start. i didn't felt any cringe moment and i just enjoyed everything from start to finish. the kissing scenes are 10/10 lmaoosoaoao I LOVE IT. i repeated those scenes a couple of times before proceeding lol they dont need those heavy bed scenes to show their chemistry!! its like watching two people who dont know anything about love falling in love, ITS CUTE.

for the story and pace its just right. i love how every in misunderstanding they try to resolve it right away especially on the MML pov knowing how his character is. i just dont like how they ended it with her choosing him over her career? im just not a fan of those type of things where woman have to give up her growth for a man but in this one she's also thinking about the grandpa who have only a few months to live so i'll give it a pass i guess!

overall, i would def recommend and someghing i will rewatch it i feel like to.

OH MY GODNESS !!!

I can say this drama is good. You can watch this drama to spending free time but i could say there isn't a big conflict on this drama? i mean there haven't complicated problems/plot. the main male lead admirer doesn't try hard to destroy his relationship and of course the main male lead is so consistent and so firm on reject "his admirer"
The main male lead is realistic (maybe because he lecturer? idk), cute, but not too romantic. he is "cold boyfriend type"? but i can say he so lovely because he try to be romantic boyfriend for his gf, lol, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT IS HE IS HANDSOME AND SEXY. (first ep will make you exited) haha

The main female lead is pretty, she good at acting and expressional. She remind me of a korean actrist (idk her name but she was on "My ID is Gangnam Beauty" drama) i'm right?

At any rate this drama isn't bad. the side story which is the main female lead's sister and friends is such a good things but unfortunately i cloud say that they're not good looking as far as the main lead do. (I'M SORRY)

Simple and sweet story

STORY: Bit cliche. Male lead is cold and smart (Mr. Perfect), female lead is clumsy (Ms. Casual). Some parts of the story could have been skipped with the story remaining the same (relationship with Gao Zhi Yi and Lin Nou was frustrating at times). Good character development, especially for Zhang Sinian.
EXECUTION: Nice pacing throughout as conflicts are resolved within 1/2 episodes. Chemistry between the characters fit their roles. Some funny moments between the characters as they figure out their lives together. Romance scenes were there but not over the top. Music choices were good, the song 夜问-花粥 was the best of the OTS in my opinion.
OVERALL: Cute story with the driving point being how Zhang Sinian and Yun Shu get together and lead their lives/change for each other.

Unpopular opinion here

I realize that I am in the minority here, but this is just my personal opinion, so please don't be ugly. I'll admit that the female voices in this drama bothered me a lot. High and childlike, it might have been better at a slower speed, but since there wasn't much going on in this show, watching it at a slower speed would have made it MORE painful to watch. The only reason I was actually able to finish this was by practically fast forwarding through the entire thing. 24 episodes, and virtually nothing happens between the main couple until episode 17. I hated both of the side couples and there was an inordinate amount of time spent on them, so that the main couple didn't have a lot of time together, comparatively.

I didn't care for the FL character at all in the first couple of episodes. Many things stated that she was naive, innocent or gullible, but to me she seemed stupid and irresponsible. How many times can a person get taken advantage of before learning her lesson? The actress was okay, and she was certainly beautiful.

For the ML, I thought there was too much time spent using too many big words to show how smart he supposedly was. I didn't find his acting believable, and I think this was the first time in a drama for me that I was hyper focused on the ML's complexion. The makeup department did a poor job on him. He had a lot of extreme closeups, and his face was very bumpy.

The chemistry was lacking between the main couple. She tried to make expressions that showed that she liked him, but she just looked silly. He was pretty wooden and unexpressive. The first few kisses were terrible. They got somewhat better later on, but by this time I really didn't care about or believe in their relationship.

Why must they always bring in the random "other woman" that shows up late in the series (I guess that's better than having to suffer through it for the entire thing), that thinks that just because she liked him years ago, he should like her now? And she just kept on and on - woman, learn to take "no" for an answer!

So, for me, this felt like a waste of my time.
