Sen Yong High School Class Two Grade Three (2021)

It will make you reminisce your high school life

I always say that good looking actors are very important to me whenever I watched any drama. For this case, not all of them are good looking BUT they are not bad looking either. Since the setting is in high school, it is some how, for me at least, makes it more realistic in some sense.

I haven't watched that many episodes but the fact I love the past 11 episodes makes we want to write a review already so the others will support this drama.

As mentioned above, this drama is about high school students. I'm not familiar with any of main cast. This is my first time watching them but I can say all their acting are good. No exaggeration. I mean. in some episodes, I feel that Li He (played by Xia Zhi Guang) sometimes do exaggerate in some oh his reaction but probably when you really like someone, you can be very bold in some of your actions.

The female lead Yuan Cai Xi (played by Dai Lu Wa) is very simple. I love how she acts and like she knows Li He likes her but she is playing it cool or how she is indifferent with Ning Ze Yu (played by Yan Xu Jia) extra attention to her. What I love most here as well, I mean the typical family issue is still there. Like the family of Ning Ze has a very high expectation out of him and wants him to become a lawyer. There was a scene that his mom throw away his books but Li He saved them and kept it for Ning Ze. I love that he still went against their wishes and pursue what he likes. I also like the family of Li He. He was athletic student so his parents doesn't expect much from him. I love that they still support him BUT they wish that least for once he passed the exam. I do believe such family exist and I hope they show more this kind of setting.

You thought this is only the typical love triangle. But here comes the childhood bff idol Ye Jing Xi (played by Zhou Yi Ran). I like the fact that though he became popular, he still can't forget his bff whom he saved long back. I love how Li He and Ning Ze worked together to block the efforts of Ye Jing Xi to be with Yuan Cai Xi.

Overall, I love watching this series so far. I can't help but to compare with Remember My Boy drama (currently on hold on my end from watching). Each episode is very interesting. So far.

"When We Were Young", modern version

Dai Lu Wa plays in modern variation of "When We Were Young", this time as the female lead and with many parallel plotlines (ML is a newcomer in FL's class, the ML and FL have a teacher/pupil dynamics - just reversed this time, FL's clever classmate whom she knows for a long time has a crush on her, carefree but generally supporting brother of FL, incomplete family, dysfunctional family, etc ...). It works pretty well, you just have to approach the drama with the "When We Were Young" setting in mind - romance is not the central point here, but just a part of the overall picture of high school years and life. Only issue I have so far is that Dai Lu Wa's character has a bit too much Mary Sue's vibes, especially in the romantic subplot - not just two, but three popular boys chasing after her (plus countless others just being mentioned) while she is the ice queen who generally ignores them all. Her Huang Deng Deng had much more "rooting for" dynamics (and so did Yang Xi), but maybe this changes in later episodes.

Love the main leads

As the title says, my favorite part is undoubtedly the two leads and their interactions with another; this drama was peak enemies-to-lovers and I really liked that there weren't any stupid, clingy characters — each person had their own thing they were good at and their personalities. The families were all different as well and I loved that we actually got to see a lot of examples of healthy relationships, whether it's romance or familial, even when there were tidbits of noble idiocy.

I really enjoyed the first half of this drama as the classes merged and they got to know each other through different events, but honestly ever since the third-lead was introduced I just feel like this drama tried to take on too much. It dedicated a lot of time to just the third-lead, whose plot was really cliche and I didn't care much for, and the character development started to feel a lot more dragged out and slow. Even though he had his moments and jealousy scenes are always fun, I feel like he's a bit unnecessary and I would have rather spent more time in the school setting rather than suddenly decending into the entertainment business universe.

Nothing new here

**If you tend to always adore Chinese dramas, especially those about kids in school, pass by this review. Upon looking back at my other reviews, apparently, I don't care much for Chinese high school dramas. None of them has been a stand-out for me. I don't think I'm terribly picky, but they've all seemed pretty immature to me, and I didn't feel that this one was any different. I tend to really like the friendships that develop, but the romance never works for me.

This show had a somewhat good premise with the idea of the "brains vs. brawn", but I didn't really feel that the way that they portrayed either group was very realistic. The cast was very large and quite a few people weren't used to their full potential. There were MANY places that the acting it was so bad it was cringe-worthy, and don't get me started on the voices that they use to dub the dialogue. I didn't feel the chemistry between the leads, and the development of their relationship didn't capture my interest. There was quite a bit that I fast forwarded through, because I just wanted to finish it.

llama la atencion el titulo y los colores y como se desenvuelve el drama

me encantan los dramas escolares,me fascina poder verlo es maravilloso llama la atencion que se quede enamorada del este chico pero ,me encantaria que ellos volvieran a hacer otro drama por que ellos son buenos ,es mi primer drama chino al parecer,este drama esta en el top tres de los que me gustan en general de varios paises es increible que sea tan bueno y por que cada capitulo amoooo mas a los personajes,cada personaje llama la atencion a su manera y como se enamora ,me encanta que sonrian se que eso es parte de el drama ,no habia visto que la clase dos fuera mu maravillosa,espero algun dia conocerlo,es muy agradable saber que con esto puedo aprender algunas palabras y como son pronunciadas no conocia el idioma pero es gratificante entender un poco ,no es lo mismo que los chinos hablen español o que otros lo hagan por ellos,por que siento que pierde el sentido de como se desenvuelve si cambia poco ,pero me gusta como lo pronuncian ellos.

Refreshing ✨❤️

This is my first review coz I visited this site 3 times for this cdrama & there wasn't even a single review? so why not to be the first one. I'm a high school drama lover so it was airing & the trailer gave me some Thai vibes idk why but overall it was refreshing. The cast is just beyond words, you'll definitely fall in love with their characters as the time passes by. So far I've watched 4 ep & I'm already living in their classroom? the thing which makes it diff from every other high school Chinese drama so far is that here the female lead is strong & bold (we've always seen soft, innocent, cringy female leads) which makes her character- “oh so you like me? Well idgaf! ” Every episode is full of comedy & yup you won't regret watching it. I'm enjoying it from the trailer itself? I'll come back to see if you guys are writing reviews about it or not. Till then I'm waiting for WeTV to remove the VIP?
