Mixed Emotions
I had dropped this midway but came back to watch it due to the great clips and comedic scenes scattered on YT.STORY - Interesting and some were unexpected twists. There were some things I was getting hyped about but ended up disappointed. Like, it was the topic for a few episodes, then, the climactic scene for it lasted just a few seconds. I'm talking about the son that isn't even in the main cast. Some may say this was a happy ending, some find that it has a confusing ending. They just wanted to end it without explanation and some things were just so illogical! Slightly happy, disappointed, sad, irritated, angry, confused. This left me with mixed emotions.
CAST - Lack of chemistry with the lead actor and actress but their acting skills are on point. I'm more interested in the supporting casts' chemistry. The bromance was the best chemistry here.
ML was stunning and perfect for this role. I wasn't a fan but I am now. I first saw him in Goblin and I just found him so-so. His makeup here made him strikingly stunning. And the red hair is to die for!
MUSIC - Tone-deaf, so no comment.
REWATCH - I'd rather watch clips on YT instead of rewatching the whole drama. I hardly rewatch any drama anyway but I keep on rewatching their clips.

Don’t sleep on the Nine-Tailed Fox ♥️.♥️
I loved it; especially the way they made us fall in love with “the fox” Lee Dong Wook just the same way we loved The Goblin. I loved the whole cast except for Jo Bo Ah; her expression was cold and scary! She’s fit for a villain role much more than a heroine. The coffee ads were so cringy >.< I get the show is sponsored but… ew. Same goes for their smart phones that we know no body uses in Korea but whatever.
I also hated some of the BGMs because it was so similar to the movie Twilight. Other than what I mentioned I really loved it and waiting for the next chapter ❤️

Lee Dong Wook still rocks the supernatural kind of dramas
I hope and I think everyone can agree that the fantasy drama fits him the most. He's rocking it and no one can do better fantasy dramas than Lee Dong Wook. The acting is great, the story is also great but the chemistry is not so great especially in the times that the girl is struggling, I think there are just a few music in there but the whole drama itself gave me the chills. It was absolutely one of the best. LEE DONG WOOK ALWAYS IS THE PERFECT FOR FANTASY DRAMAS. I repeat LEE DONG WOOK IS ALWAYS THE PERFECT FOR FANTASY DRAMAS.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
Not too bad
How to describe this show... it's not bad, but it's not something that I would recommend to anyone. In the beginning it was interesting but around the middle it became a little boring and it was a chore to continue to watch it.
The story was a bid of a mess, in the beginning it was OK but by the end it was crammed with useless ideas and plots that by the end seemed very stupid or rushed.
Some of the acting was a little bit of questionable... at times it felt a little bit awkward to watch and left a bit more to be desired.
All and all it wasn't so bad that you should skip it by all mean, there is probably a audience for this kind of a show, but maybe don't start watching this one when you are looking for something "interesting" because your previous title wasn't very good.
To say it simple it's one of those shows you watch and forget about.

promising premise, but plot falls apart
The name, premise, and look of this drama were very promising. At first. I don’t really go for horror or fantasy type dramas, so I really went out of my way to watch this. And the first few episodes were really going somewhere. But towards the middle I found it extremely hard to keep track of wtf was going on. Like what even was the plot? The characters were likeable, but their motivations felt lost towards the end and there seemed to be action just for the sake of action.LDW was charming and cheeky. Pretty good with his acting, but throughout the show I feel like he was just Goblin 2.0 but Fox version. I was getting major Grim Reaper vibes and given his success from his role in Goblin, I feel that was intentional. His mysterious backstory was intriguing, but once I found out what happened to his first love I was kinda creeped out. He fell in love with a child?! Very odd choice for storytelling. After discovering that it was extremely hard to get on board with his mission. Ah Eum was okay. I don't know if this will make sense but she looked the role but couldn’t play it. I liked her character’s motivations but her lack of chemistry with the male lead took me out of the romance aspect of the show. They had cute moments for sure but I never fully bought them as a couple. The first few episodes did her character justice, but then it was downhill from there. She just became a damsel-in-distress and unrootable. My favorite character was Lee Ram hands down. He’s kind of the I-wanna-hate-him-but-I-just-cant type character of this show. I found the scenes between him and LDW the most compelling in the show. They gave me Stefan/Damon(Vampire Diaries) vibes and I was here for it. I didn’t think his character would have an arc but he did. A bit rushed, but he was my favorite person in this show.
This show had the potential to be something more but it just became a confusing shit show towards the end. I wanted so badly to like it but the jumbled plot and inconsistent characters made it impossible. Ultimately a waste of time. 6/10

Overall a good drama to watch
Interesting and exciting at first but lost me around episode 13. Would be better if they just made it a 12-episode drama. The story and plot are great. The actors did great too. Not sure if it's just personal preference but it felt like they dragged the second half of the drama. Like they stretched it just to fit it in 16 episodes. It is still worth the watch though. The story is really interesting. I just hoped they were able to keep that vibe until the end. A fantasy, mystery, thriller, and romcom all in one drama.

There was a bit of a horror vibe at times during the first half, but that doesn't stay as strong once we get used to the story. I would describe the romance aspect as sweet with extreme loyalty and trust. A beautiful relationship even if it wasn't the kind of chemistry to give off a lot of sparks. I think some people were disappointed in this, but I personally didn't think it was a negative aspect in this drama.
The storyline wasn't perfect, especially when it comes to the part involving the Imoogi and the actor portraying him. I found him to be an odd choice for a villain, which would have been okay if he'd given off more psychotic vibes, but he ended up being a blank doll face. I still enjoyed this watch with an otherwise good cast. The mystic character of Lee Yeon with all his strengths and flaws is simply an unforgettable hero. However I thought the female lead was mediocre. Her individuality started off strong, but she lost some of her personality and at times Lee Yeon seemed to be what made her character. The story slacked off a bit after the middle, but the last two episodes made up for it. I know some weren't happy with the ending, but it was perfectly bittersweet according to me.
The highlight for me was Lee Yeon's relationship with his brother. Can't wait to find all these characters again in "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938"

THE BEST FANTASY KDRAMA OUT THERE
I will fight anyone who says otherwise... the acting, the story, the CG effects all blew me away.I love love the two main leads. This whole show was perfectly cast. Also you do not get second lead syndrome and instead you have these beautiful bonus storylines in addition to the two main leads. The supporting characters all have such wonderful stories and experience real character development instead of just being there to prop up the main lead or provide comedic relief like in so many other kdramas. UGH his brother <3 <3 I will never get over him. If you are an avid drama watcher like myself you find yourself almost predicting plot lines and character arcs. This story was unique in every way. I enjoyed every minute of it. From the beginning to the end.
To sum this drama up it was emotional, beautiful, and magical to see. This kind of show makes me so happy that I started getting into kdramas last year because I can't imagine missing out on this! I am jealous of those who get to watch it for the first time.

Ending leads to curiosity
I liked the story and the way each episode ended.Nice story ,i enjoyed watching it . Acting of each characters were good. The scene when the brothers solve their problems and got together that scene was amazing . Like this there were many scenes where we would see twist .
Only the end of last episode leads to curiosity then I came to know there is a season 2 of the story when I read the synopsis I came to know that season1 and season 2 has no connection so I disappointed. So my curiosity will remain .

Where to begin from? This is the first time I am watching a drama that has Lee Dong Wook. I never really paid much attention to him before but after finishing Tail of the Nine-Tailed, I really have started to like him. His acting was superb. His funny moments and adorable habits had me hooked to the drama from the first episode. One of the main reasons I never got bored was because of Lee Yeon. His love for the female lead was so admirable. The other reasons were, Lee Rang and his scenes towards the end. I loved his scenes with that little kid. It was really upsetting that he died, especially after he started cherishing his life with Yoo Ri, Shin Joo and the kid. Shin Joo's loyalty was touching, like I've said before, such loyal characters are very rare nowadays in dramas.
The granny and her husband were a couple never failed to make me laugh as well!!! She was a little annoying at times but these type of characters are always good in dramas. Her poor Husband ;)
Now with the things I didn't really like were the fact that Ji Ah was just always talking about either dying or her parents and her childhood. I know they are the most precious people to her but I thought that Lee Yeon always felt bad that he wasn't able to find her parents for her. I just felt that her character was very whiny towards the end (my opinion only).
Also, a villain like Imoogi never has people hating him, we always end up liking such villains. Maybe for such a big story, he wasn't the best choice. I liked him from the beginning and was hoping till the end that he would turn good and get a happy ending but he never did :(
However, I really miss this drama already and wish it had many more episodes. Loved it overall!!!!!!
Do watch it...

It’s like a mixture of live action Anime and Korean drama. Isekai feels. Really enjoyable!
The Plot is great! The beginning got me really hooked. I really enjoyed watching this series. It’s like an Anime and Korean drama mixture! Loved it!
Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum are the best brothers with love-hate relationship.
LDW and JBA had great chemistry.
They've shown the past and present without confusing the viewers. The transition and the cinematography are all impressive.
The script, acting and everything are all great.
I am just kind of disappointed with the ending. It could have been better. I enjoyed it until the half of ep. 16. The other half of ep. 16 are just okay.
Overall, 8.5/10.
