There are some twists and turns and was dazed and confused a few times

Well, the drama got off to a fast start with a great first episode. I think the idea of a fake runaway bride is hilarious! One thing I’m still confused about are the sisters. The sister in hiding is supposedly older and has graduated from college. The younger sister finished her freshmen year but they look like identical twins save the hair style.

I don’t know why the FL lied about her identity for almost the entire series. I know she was trying to protect her family at first but she had plenty of opportunities to do the right thing later on (no, I don’t like liars). I loved the romance between the ML and FL but also found the supporting couple very cute.

When the ML finally stood up against his grandfather and was kicked out of the company, I found it laughable that he didn’t have a penny to his name and depended on the FL and others for $$$ and a place to live. The grandfather was a grouchy asshole and it took a near death experience for him to finally appreciate his family.

Everyone hated the evil female actress but I was enamored by her striking appearance and beauty. I hope she lands a lead role soon as I am now a big fan of hers. I felt bad for Pei’s character as he was the only one who didn’t find love (I noticed the actor was also in Nine Kilometers of Love, another drama on my hit list as I am a big Li Ting Ting fan!).

I’m beginning to enjoy Chinese dramas as they are short, 45 minutes or less. I’m also learning Mandarin and watching keeps the language fresh in my mind. I find the romance and kissing more natural than KDs but not crazy sexy like JDs. I’m not sure if I will rewatch this drama but towards the end, I rewatched the first episode and thoroughly enjoyed it and better understood what was going on.

Just turn off ur brain to watch this drama

1 rule to watch this drama. Turn off your brain from all the ilogical thing that happen in this drama, then you can enjoy the ride... ^_^.

Like many people write in here, yeah many ilogical thing happen in this drama. Very cliche & troupe thing happen in rom-com world only. But i really like the ending where both of the couple married & they even can tease the groom :d. That last scene is the reason i take interest with this drama & that's also why i give the rating quite high.

Ok lets talk about the ilogical thing in this drama:
* Like Joyce Chan wrote in her/his review. How come the bride don't know the groom face, can't she search on internet...? It's still makes sense actually, because i believe when people rich, they can hide their face from everyone including internet, because i know in the fact there is some rich people that very good hidding their face, we can't even search their pic in the internet.
* The most ilogical thing is actually also wrote by Joyce Chan too. How come Wen family didn't have any clue about Yuan Si Ya (SY) as a twin. With their influence can't they search troughly before decided her as bride...?! Is yuan family that good they can even hide the truth that SY have twin sister... Come on...
* How come SY can't think when she ran away from her wedding, with her dad personality, that her dad will gonna search for her twin sister, Yuan Yue Yue (YY).
* How come it's so hard to said u are a twin... It's not ur fault to be a twin...
* How selfish actually SY... She promise to show up at certain date, and she still not show up, she still let YY to clean her messed. After that YY can just easily understand SY feeling & still not said the truth to Wen Jin Chen (JC). OMG if that me i can't simply accept that, even if she is my twin sister.
* All the family been resolved in the last episode... Haio... That complicated family problem just solved because the grandpa who want to died not died.
* JC don't go to singapore & decided in the blink of eyes that he will gonna believe YY's heart for him, without remember that he stay away from YY because he think his brother love her... Very fickle & very easy decision to change like that, really just in the blink of eyes in the car...
* Why nobody can say to JC that YY in fact is a twin after they break up because very ridiculous misunderstanding.... Not even Wen Liang Ye (LY) nor Pei Xiu Zhe (XZ)
* XZ tell JC's grandpa without thinking he will implicate YY, he just want revenge to SY. Omg what he think, the one will gonna join the wen family is YY not SY, of course it will gonna implicate YY more than SY. And after find out he just instantly feel terrible.
* Why LY not just let XZ meet with SY. Why he must pretend the boyfriend is not him. What's the benefit for him. If only they can meet once to resolve his feeling toward her isn't it that better...

Actually i think there are many more ilogical thing. But i'll stop write here. The list above is the one that most irritate me.

What i really like:
+ YY don't fall into despiration after break up. She gets up & even open restaurant. Yeah life must go on even after u break up.
+ They show us ups & down of the restaurant

What could be better:
* The reveal of YY as SY twin sister really could be better. It's really like anti dramatic, just like something not important. It's supposed to be one of the most important thing in the drama.
* I want to see their kids in the end :(

Overall this is the drama to be enjoy because it's funny & fluffy . I really enjoy the ride & the opening song is one of the most easy listening song...

Awesome awesome awesome

I seriously cannot believe the rating given thus far. This drama deserves good rating. It is very light and straight forward drama. Highly recommended for those looking for Happy+Romance+Comedy genre.

The story seems like the highly read chinese novel made into drama whereby the FL suddenly has to replace her sister (in this case her twin sister) and get married to a presumed old rich man, but end up with super handsome rich guy (officially fan of Tim Pei).

Another plus point is, the "chasing" romance between ML and FL started as early as ep 1 or 2, which we dun normally get to see in other c-dramas. Most likely ML fell in love at first sight in ep 1, thus kept getting jelous afterward.

Really funny to see ML acted as two persons in this drama (old guy & scandal bf).

The downside only that the fact that the other twin sister does not have much script and specific behind story. Lastly the final episode when Wen's father came back from hiding with normal cloth.. even after he was forgiven by wen's grandfather, the father still wearing normal cloth which does not reflect the fact that he turn rich again (scene wen's father & yuan's father listening to music together). Maybe director forgot to choose right outfit for him.. LOLs

Overall: I didnt skip any scene and really enjoy every second of this drama. Highly recommended! And dun simply trust bad review outthere.. !!!

I purposely write this review to improve this drama rating which normally i dun.

10/10 from me!!!

Fun to watch without thinking too much

So, this is a fun cdrama to watch, even if i feel like the writers were not really focused on trying their best lol its funny, cliche and light to watch. But me aware that there is plot holes and things that happen in weird ways that are totally unrealistic to what would happen in real life (like reactions of the main chars about revelations and stuff). Its like when you want to watch some action or super hero movies, its not super well written and complex but if its about a trope you enjoy and is fun its enough. So i dont regret it. Would prefer it was better written? Yes. But its ok. Probably something i would not rewatch but dont regret watching in the first place. If you are looking for a light and cliche plot this my be the one.

A Really Entertaining Rom-Com Drama, Arranged Marriage Gone Right!

Hmmm.... what can I say. Well, let's just say that the overall drama was really entertaining to me. It's because I like this kind of rom-com, from dislike to love, arranged marriages drama, provided the main leads had the right chemistry. I liked the main lead, Tim Pei's role of Wen Jin Chen. Disliking 'Yue Yue' (played by Li Nuo) at first but slowly falling in love with her. He was consistent in his love for her, protective, caring and can never seem to get enough of the woman he loves. I warmed to his character throughout the drama. However, I cannot say the same for FL though. Her character appeared too young and somehow just did not match ML's aura. But, I guess, it goes to show, love is love, and one need not understand nor read so much into where the attraction lies, as long as it brings out the best in each other. That is where love thrives.

Other than this, the second lead of Wen Jin Chen male assistant and Yue Yue's lawyer friend was delightful and was so fun to watch. The entire cast did a really good job and I watched the entire 24 episodes with ease, giggling, laughing, frustrated at times. The build up of the story and drama got better with each episode, to a strong ending.

So again, if you are game to watch a rom-com about arrange marriage, from dislike to love, controlling grandfather, a struggling/un-acknowledged step brother and a really good man who found innocent love, with lots of kissing, hugging, heart flutters, this would be a really entertaining drama to watch.

Entertaining

I came across a clip of this drama on YouTube while I was watching tennis on YouTube. The plot of this drama (contract marriage) is something which I usually avoid. But somehow the acting of the actors and actresses made me can't stop watching. They are believable and not over the top.

The FL reminds me of Zhao Liying (Boss and Me) so much, that it could have been played by her!

Overall, I really enjoy watching this. The lines are funny and smart. I burst out laughing few times for every episode I watch.

Would recommend for someone looking for lighthearted comedy with a heart. Watching this drama makes me happy.

Soooo STOOOPID

The script writing, flow and editing is very poor. Basic storyline is not bad, but the development of all the plots is just a vicious cycle, became repetitive and annoying. The only reason I watched till the end is that the ML is good looking & hot! :))) If you can just look past all those, then you should be fine.

Romance and chemistry- err maybe 6/10? Had lots of potential but nothing great. If you’re looking for Cdramas with great chemistry, try Love Scenery, Maiden Holmes, Love Unexpected (but storyline not fantastic) and My Little Happiness.

There are many Cdramas out this year (2021) which are way better, so this one I suggest you give a pass ;)

Just Sweet

I got hooked on the first episode. It was so funny 😭😭😭I watched it over a few times.

The story starts with the FL running away from her wedding.
The way she’s accomplishes that will keep you laughing,
I loved it because I laughed through most of the show.
I loved the FL, I thought she was spunky and it was so easy to root for her happiness.
If you are in the mood for funny, sweet and romantic. Give it a try.

The only thing I would have changed is have the ML know her IDENTITY earlier..

Trying not to give spoilers. I truly enjoyed it and sent it to some of friends to watch on YouTube.

Fine

Drama started with the good note ,a girl run away from her marriage but the one who helped in run was to be her husband.
But when the story progressed it became boring .
1. It was totally a stupid concept to meet he in dark . One to two time is okay but continue with this concept made the episodes boring.
Secondly there is no need to hide the identity for long that he was her to husband's employee. This was boring.
Thirdly when she told him that she exchanged from her twin sister and let him know the whole story then why she hide further conversation of her sister from him so in the wedding scenario she exchanged her from her twin sister because her twin sister want to come out to complete her work but she can tell him because he knew everything . So because of this episodes were increased and their after story was also boring.
As whole starting few episodes were good .
I think they can used twin concept story in whole drama so drama become little funny.
