Midsummer is Full of Hearts (2020)

Quite a nice show

The first few episodes isn't that interesting some of the plot is abit not logical and weird. As I keep watching slowly the plot get more and more interesting and more logical. Quite Abit of touching moments that make me cry love the love story.
Both the actor and actress did a pretty great job even though the actress is very new some of the feelings cannot feel as well as compared to more experienced actress but for a new actress I think she did a pretty good job. Need not say about the actor. He fit quite well for this character.
Overall I think this show is worth my time even though the front isn't that interesting.

So many plot wholes but its fine

First off is the plot. There are a lot of things that's remain unexplained and lots of things that is very unlikely to happen. Like her best friend, she annoys me so much, tricked her and sold her house, and then force her to marry when she said she doesn't want to(its not cute at all), used her for marketing, and try to blackmail her, and after that she acts like nothing happened? And male lead, He did a loy of things that is out of line. And there are lots of things and I can't help but question"why would you do that?". And the ending, so he is not really her real father? What's the point of adding that, it makes me wonder who the hell her real parents are, it makes the story uncomplete. And some scenes are cliche.

Second is music, atleast I want to hear the song that she composed and he sings. They are supposed to be a singer and other a composer, at least I'm expecting a good music.

Characters are cute but it doesn't make up for the confusion in my head, and the love between the couple is so-so.

It's fine to watch, at least I only skipped some scenes, it's better than other at least. But I won't rewatch it. Doesn't get to me that much to be obsessed with it. Probably others will like it. I'm into the bickering couple type but this one can be good but not great.

It was oke, but no rewatch for me

I never watched Full House, so to me it was just a drama and not a comparison. It was oke, but there are alot of things that I don't understand.. I liked the lead characters, the chemistry between them was nice. But the side characters don't make sense at all! Also I don't like the other female characters! They are awfull! How can u sale the house of your friend?? And tiffany just moved on from zeyi in an instant? Mom and granny are sweet ? The male characters are likeable. Ah tai always in squat position haha.. What I don't get is, how can fl not remember 2ml? And the ending, is her father not her real father? I'm totally confused ? If someone can explain it, please do so ?

Very Disappointed! This show was just a major waste of time.

I had really high expectations after reading the reviews and everything for this drama. This drama just didn't match my taste. It had a light romance plot. The plot was very boring and dragged. We only got 1-2 proper kiss scenes in the whole series. I feel like it was such a waste of time. I didn't like the male lead at all, he was so childish and annoying. The female lead was too pretty for the male lead but she could barely portray her facial expressions. Even though they lived together, I couldn't feel any chemistry between them. Very disappointed that I actually watched this till the end. I should've just dropped it after 4-5 episodes when it started getting boring. There was nothing to the story at all. Just the main leads getting contract married and after 21 episodes starting to date just to break up in the next episode. I couldn't see a difference between when they were just room-mates and when they were dating, they stayed the exact same. There was no tension between the leads. I feel like the drama could've had a lot more potential if the second lead was made the main lead. They had way more chemistry and a past where they met during childhood. Also the best friend of the female lead was so annoying. She literally sold the female leads house without her permission and the female lead actually forgave her in 2 episodes. She was such a bad friend, always stealing the female leads things without her permission and using her friend for money. It made me so mad. Her character should've been portrayed as the evil one but the drama just left it like that's how she is. Overall, I hated it and I regret spending 2 days binge watching this stupid drama. I suggest you only watch it if you want to waste your time. Thanks.

Mediocre at best

This show has to have one of the dumbest plots I've seen. Both actors are bad, they lack chemistry and the show spends an enormous time on the 2ML, who is more likable than the childish ML, who is quite annoying. The only thing I liked was the ost and it wasnt that great either. I don't think I've seen such bad C drama, I'm happy it's 24 episodes and not 64, but that's about the only thing I like. How can the FL be so naive and stupid, she has the intelligence of a 4 year-old. I don't why did I spend such a long time in a show that is mediocre at best. I don't recommend it.

This drama is a really good adaptation from the manhwa "Full House" written by Soo Yon Won. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life but, although the leading couple has good playful chemistry, their intimate moments are not memorable. It is a lighthearted drama with some really cute moments. The female lead, Yang Chao Yue as Luo Tian Ran, is not as engaging as the male lead, Timmy Xu as Jin Ze Yi, and her facial expressions were forced, to say the least. The OST is great and the drama has beautiful cinematography. The main events are based on the Korean manhwa but there are some nice differences in the storyline on this version. Although it could have been better if the leading actress would’ve been more expressive, the drama is still a good watch while waiting for a great one to come.

The story line! But its not all bad

This was actually really cute!
Its just that the story line really just. TianRan just forgave her friend her friend who sold her house which was her late fathers. This so called friend blackmailed JZY and LTR with the marriage contract to advertise her product.

Other then that, this was great, its kinda cliche but all good!
Its a contract marriage from enemies to lovers! The male lead falls inlove really quickly but doesn't show it.
They both got jealous quite alot and the FML was a kid of heart!
This might not be for everyone but I really loved it and watched it twice!
They barely kissed tho which I don't mind at all. I think it happened 3 times and thats about it!

I really wanted to like this drama! The synopsis looked good and the leads looked cute together. Seemed like a light and fun drama to watch!! But sadly, I don’t know how many times I debated dropping this.

SPOILER ALERT!!

In most dramas, when the cold and aloof ML is rude or treats the FL poorly, he does something on the side to let us see his true feelings (covering the girl with a blanket or secretly helping her). Not this ML!! He liked to "push" and “shove” her around which might seem like flirting or play fighting (IF YOU'RE A GIRL!!), but for a guy he came off as a bully and jerk (he enjoyed himself too much). There just wasn’t any sweetness or gentleness and you couldn't even excuse his behavior as being socially awkward because he's wasn't. I was so relieved when the ML eventually came around in the 2nd half of the drama. Finally, we see him treat her with care and kindness (it was a long time coming!!)

The FL is said to be independent. Um....she is NOT! An independent person would not cook a full meal and clean for someone because they ORDERED her to. Nor would they allow themselves to be treated as badly as she was by her so called friend over and over again (I kept waiting for a backstory of their friendship and why she was keeping her around). Independent was the furthest thing to characterize the FL. She seemed to get meeker with each episode (her mouth barely moves when she speaks) and she always looked expressionless. Honestly, I couldn’t tell you FL’s personality. She always had that same blank, clueless look on her face... she looked the same eating dinner as she did when she accepted his proposal!!

This drama was definitely a miss for me but one I finished so I wouldn’t always wonder about it.

Literally sucks

I was kind of hooked when I read the summary so I started watching, the moment I watched where her best friend sold her house and that’s just her reaction, I was so frustrated to just continue but I still gave it a chance and I couldn’t take it anymore. There were too many plot holes, it doesn’t even makes sense. Interactions was cute but not enough to save my sanity from watching this. I literally stopped Ep 4 and tried to give it a chance after 3 days cause of boredom and no dramas to watch. This is literally my first ever review, I just don’t do reviews if it’s not good or good. I just have to vent this frustration or I’m gonna lose my mind from watching.
