Definitely the best drama aired 2012. Haven't seen drama like this before. It is very unique and great.
Story: Story is very different and addicting. It made me laugh and cry, feel sad and happy and even nervous, confused and annoyed at some point. I didn't get bored even once. There is lot of things going on all the time and I personally like it very much because it gives lots of things to think about continually.
Cast/acting: Characters are very well created and acted. Cast is just brilliant.
Big plus to main characters that are smart and have big personalities.
Music: I really loved the music in this drama. Perfect match!
Rewatch value: I finished this about half an hour ago and I'm dying to watch it again soon.

Story:::
From poor love sick boy to rich heart breaking man. This guy was the main lead in a story about revenge, murder and betrayal. Oh man was this story written well. At times you had no idea where the plot would move to. The relationships were defined but had so many crazy cracks and potholes only near the end did you realize who was being paired up. Well written story and awesome cliff hangers!
Charcter/Actors::
Holy poop. These actors are good at times you hate their character at other times you love em! Jae Hee was the most evil dispicable selfish woman, and the lead actress did everything right to portray that! Maru omg..KANG MA ROOO! Awesome..just awesome.
Well done for the whole cast!
Music:: Fit the mood, and was emotional when need be.
Rewatch:: Nope, I don't really rewatch..

When you find yourself laughing like a maniac while watching a show that is described as melodrama, then you know you’re in for a wild ride and some good entertainment. Good in a bad way. I started this show not knowing that it is, in fact, a full blown makjang with all its tropey glory and infamy. The overdramatics of it all was amusing enough for me to totally enjoy the first half of this drama. We had manslaughter, injustice, betrayal, revenge, rich heiress, poor man, terminal illness, greed and jealousy. It was ridiculous, engaging and surprisingly fun, but oh so outdated at the same time. And quite frankly one’s patience must be enormous to be able to put up with it for the course of 20 episodes. Especially after the halfway mark when things starts to get progressively more frustrating. Because what was missing in that perfect recipe for a succesfull pre 2015 korean melodrama? A M N E S I A. Not only once, but twice!
To be fair the premise of this story was not that bad Not innovative? Yes, but still it could be a solid melodrama for those who are into this type of stories. But to be good, or even just decent, it requires the existence of characters with rich personality and plot that doesn’t rely on cliches/tropes too much. Unfortunately this drama went overboard with the latter to the point of absurdity which made the whole thing look shallow and ridiculous. Too many cliches, handed too forcefully. I know it's a base of all makjangs, but at some point it felt like writers were beating the ground because the horse was no longer there.
I appreciate the fact the writers took a time to write quite complex characters and avoided the typical binary division of good vs evil. It goes deep into the psyche of the main characters, shows all sides of their nature and psychology behind their actions. They are deeply flawed, cosumed by their human desires and emotions that they cannot control as much as they would like to. I especially enjoyed the main antagonist, Han Jee He, because she was not evil for the sake being evil, her motivation was understandable considering her position, experiences and ambitions, so the reasoning behind her actions was crystal clear to me. Same goes to Kang Ma Ru, the protagonist of the story. Again, I don't condone what he did, but I was able to understand why he behaved like he did and why he went so far for his revenge. I can't say the same about Seo Eun Gi, the final element of this convoluted triangle, because I truly feel like she was just a plot device. Her character didn't have any kind of real development nor profoundness. She was just there for Ma Ru to reconsider his path and for Jee He to finally give up.
So why am I not satisfied with the characters here as well? Because it all went to shit after couple of episodes.
I feel like Eun Gi's amnesia was the turning point of this show. Not only cliches started popping out from left and right and absorbed the story completely, but character's behaviour stopped making any sense. All of their previous ambitions and motivations disappeared and the show focused solely on character's mad thirst for pathologically twisted need of owning someone that was clearly mistaken for love. Like they were completely different people and their personalities were switched. On top of that none of these relationships were sane, as they were built on lies, possessiveness, abuse and manipulation. And it could have been an actually good addition to the psychological portait of our main characters, but came out as contradictory, sometimes highly irrational and - combined with gazillion tropes - overdramatic and not convining at all.
Acting was suitable for this type of stale production. Overally decent, but theatrical, overdone or completely wooden in more challenging scenes. I truly loved the music though, especially the intro with accordion, that's the kind of dramatics I expect from shows like this.
With that said, I am happy that I've watched this now, because it truly made me appreciate the progress kdramas have made with the quality of storytelling, directing and acting as well. I'm also happy that modern makjangs are more self-aware and writers are more open use the concepts of this genre for artistic purposes.

Then, it got kind of boring, and I thought of dropping it. I'm not really a dropper, so I just went on watching. Then it got interesting again, until a certain point, when they had to deal with many company matters, which, in my opinion, weren't really relevant. In the last few episodes, I felt that not much was going on. I think that they should have made it a 16 episodes drama. 16 episodes would have been enough. Even if it had 20 episodes, the ending felt very rushed, and many things were left unclear.
The acting was amazing. Song Joong Ki did an amazing job! In the beginning I thought that he was not that great, but plain. And then, I got kind of annoyed with his character, because I never knew what he was up to. So, his acting was amazing, he really got in the skin of Ma Roo, who is able to do anything to get what he wants, no matter what that means. Beautiful acting!
Moon Chae Won was also very good, I really enjoyed watching her, and how she changed throughout the story. Park She Yeon was great, even if I hated her character, somehow, at certain parts, I got to feel pity for her. Every actor with his character got into my heart. Lee Kwang Soo was amazing, I really liked his character, and I also read that he is best friends with Song Joong Ki in real life.
I enjoyed the music, it was nice.
Rewatch value? Hmm, I don't think I would rewatch this drama soon, because at some points it got me really bored, and I really struggled to finish it at the points.
Overall, it was a nice drama, with a potential. Beautifully done, I really emphasized with the characters and what they felt. I gave it an 8

Because of this, you will be attached and eager to know what is the next episode.
Salute to the writer, Lee Kyung-hee, this is one of the best story ever.
Also, this is the 1st drama of Song Joong Ki that i've watched.
What can I say? Bravo! Wow! Fantastic!
This man is really talented. And good looking too...
Both Moon Chae-won and Park Si-yeon, are great on their roles too.
Another reason why i love this drama is because of the character of each casts. The anger and the love that they feel is really undeniable.
No doubt that this drama ranked NUMBER ONE in its timeslot for eight consecutive weeks until its finale.
And no doubt that Song Joong Ki won three times for Top Excellence Award.

Story: I like dramatic stories and dramas with the 'Revenge" Theme are most of the time dramatic. The Story was very good. It was very exciting and didn't become boring. At the end of every Episode I thought "Now I have to know what will happen next".
Acting/Cast:
Song JoongKi is one of my favourite Actors but this Drama was my first with him. Because of this Dramas I like him very much and watch all Dramas in which he starred. In my opinion he acts perfectly. The role of the Man who wants to take Revenge on a woman suits him the best. I know that some people doesn't like him because of his 'Babyface', but I think this role is perfect for him. Moon ChaeWon is a very good actress and she plays her role very good. But I think also, that her acting gets better with every episode. Lee Kwangsoo plays very good, too and I liked his role very much. The rest of the cast was good, too.
Music:
The music suits the Drama very much, because it is dramatical. Especially the Music at the end of the episodes is very nice.
Rewatch Value:
I watched this Drama two times, but I knw that I will watch it again.
This Drama is one of the Dramas I liked very much. It is perfect, so I give it 10 out of 10.

The acting is one of the best things about Nice Guy. It's really hard to find so many GOOD actors on one drama together, but here all the main actors were perfect. I didn't really like the acting of the guy who played Lawyer Ahn, but I've been told he does act well in other dramas so I'll let that slide.
Overall, the writing, directing, acting, EVERYTHING in Nice Guy is perfect. And of course it doesn't hurt that the main character is so damn attractive. ;) I'd recommend this drama to anyone and everyone, honestly. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more at the end of every episode. Watch it! You won't regret it.
Rating: 10.5 :')

Song is pretty much an eye candy but when we look beyond we see he's really talented as well.Seeing him in Sungkyunkwan Scandel was a delight but Ma Roo is something totally different.
Ma Roo is porobably one of the best characters ive come across in dramaland. He is not the typical khero who saves the day with his knight in shining armour act. He's something better. We never know what he is thinking.Till the last few episodes i was left wondering whom did he actually love-the heroine or the villain.Like a glass which only reflects what it sees not letting us look beyond Ma Roo does the same. Its easy to understand his twisted psychology and motives but nevertheless he is one of the most fascinating chracters around. He's a noble idiot who would sacrifice all for the one he loves even if that means he has to die in the process. At the same time if you get into his bad books.Boy! you better watch out then.He will literally tear you apart. He feels strongly but rarely lets emotion comes to surface. He is calm and calculated but at the same times those little flicker of moments when he lets his real self show, whoa! that's what Song Joong Ki does.He makes Ma Roo into someone where we don't know if we hate the guy or love him. He's that twisted and crazy.
Moon Chae Won steals the show for me.Though Maroo with his self sacrifice act seems more noble but she isnt far behind. She as Eun Gi carries most of the brillaince that innocent man is for me.She sparkles sand shines in this drama.Acting like a total witch one moment and the next acting like a high school girl going on her first date, she does both perfectly. She's brilliant and grips us in her character where we feel the utmost for what she is and why she is like that. She is not the usual kdrama heroine but curses and swears when things don't go according to her.She knows how to play mind games and taesan means the world to her. She's stubborn,Smart and with lots of sass.Eun Gi definately comes on my best characters list.:)
Park Si Yeon as Han Jae Hee is damn awesome.i loved how she is the one woman who has the power to lure any guy away from their woman. She's the typical woman we love to hate but there are moments when we understand her circumstances and actually feel pity for her but at the end of it she did what she had to do to reach a position she was loath to leave making our drama more interesting. It is because of PSY that Jae Hee seems almost human and we can find a person like her anywere. One who's so smitten with ambition that she would destroy herself in the process and wouldn't care a damn about it.She comes full circle and i love how the writers created her so that we could see utter selfishness and cruelty mixed with a bit of humanity in between to give us a complex character.
Kim Tae Hoon as Ahn Min Young is one who is so similar to Ma Roo but where MaRoo earns our respect and sympathy for the life that is tragedy for him,AMY just makes us remind how creepy a character can be.He's someone who's lost in love with Jae Hee and its this love mingled with his own ambition that he destroys himself.
The plot is fast paced and involves much for the fight for the throne of Taesan group. We are constantly made to wonder what the hell does everyone actually feel.Everybody needs a therapy according to me because all the characters are more or less broken and so flawed that it gives so much scope for so many things. It is a romance drama but though everyone does what they do because of their twisted idea of love its never the focus. We are more invested in the emotions that they go through for the inevitable decisions they make and have to bear the consequences later.it isnt the once in a lifetime type of ove story where petals will be scattered aroud. Its a more mature romance where love is mingled with selfishness and ambition and the utter greed that resides in most minds
Won't be rewatching this anytime soon as all the good things are lost second time around
Watch it for its pure take on twisted psychology and the flawed and damaged character ,and the fact that such characters are so real and true to life that you can find them anywere..:D

The story itself is a masterpiece... if you saw it already, you know how brilliant this drama is, it's not the typical drama, and it always surprises you, so you never get bored with the story.
The acting and cast were simply stunning, they couldn't have chosen better actors and actresses for this drama. Song Jongki plays the main lead in such a way you'll be missing him badly when it's over, the rest of the cast are simply amazing, they don't leave you desiring other cast.
The music of this drama is also astonishing, since the very beginning, the main theme leaves you breathless, the overall soundtrack for this drama would be one of the very few I would actually buy if I had the chance to, even Song Jongki gets to participate brilliantly on the soundtrack.
On rewatch value, I give it a 10/10 I know I will be definitely watching this again when i have spare time, I could watch it over and over, and it wouldn't be tiring, because it's just that interesting, and you keep noticing little details you didn't before.
Every bit of this drama is worth watching, overall I would recommend this drama to everyone, this won't disappoint. This drama has to be the drama of the year.
