I think the only ting that I dont like in this series is the song they used for time travel -"Last Dance" by wu bai..I dont know..I just dont like it...For some reason, I feel irritated everytime I hear it..hahaha..sorry..but the rest of the songs are really good..specially the opening theme...I love the emotion on that song...Anyways, I love everything about this series(except from the song "Last Dance") - the story,pacing,editing,cinematography,OST,acting...everything...I cant belive that the lead actress is already 35 years old..she looks like 17 years old..I love the emotion they gave on this series... I love how editing was done..its unpredictable...love the ending....Im just wondering what happened to Wang Chuan-Sheng(the original one who commited suicide) after the future changed..did he still had the same fate?? But overall, this is a must-watch..it deserves an international recognition...the time travel was made decently..Love everything about it...I almost forgot that Taiwanese dramas are good as well...its been a long time i watched a series from Taiwan..totally loved this. Dramatic & angsty romance with fantastical twist that got me hooked despite filmmaking limitation
This drama features an intricate romance intertwined with a well conceived time slip concept. I was properly captivated by the story of Huang Yu Xuan and Li Zi Wei : it was pretty dramatic, with a lot of angst and high stakes which made it an intoxicating and enchanting cocktail. The nostalgia factor was also a key aspect that got me hooked. The series is not without flaws. First, I think that even if I found the ending in overall satisfying, I wish the landing would have been smoother and better paced. I also would have appreciated a longer epilogue so that the writers get to the bottom of the time slip gap between their main characters. Second, I truly wished that the budget limitation will have felt less strong. There were quite a few time when I could not help myself to think that a better budget and filmmaking would have elevated some of the scenes to give them an even more fairytale and nostalgic vibe.
Regarding the main cast, I found them pretty good overall. I was completely under the charm of Greg Hsu (not sure if it is character or actor related but for sure he had me swooning during the whole duration of the series). The main actress had what I felt was the most complex part and she did a good job handling the various layers of the role. I honestly wish sometimes that she would have upped her acting game even more for some of the most emotional scenes but it was certainly not a deterrent to the story. I also felt that having the female lead and male lead playing high schoolers was unrealistic but at the same time, I understand that this choice was necessary for the sake of clarity in very entangled storylines.
I would recommend this to people looking for a captivating and quite dramatic romance with a fantastical twist. There is some minor writing points that I would love to be improved and I also wish they had a bigger budget for some of the sequences. But despite these few nitpicking points, it is really worth your time and will take you on an emotional and mysterious journey. I will be curious to give a shot to the other remakes of the story at some point.

One of the best storylines I've watched in a long time
I'll start this review with the fact that yes, I think this drama was a very good watch, and definitely worth your time. This is a story about time travel, between two (seemingly) star crossed lovers. Their love is so intense and cherished, that they do whatever means necessary to find each other and be together again. But in order to do so, there are obstacles they must get through, and questions they need to answer.
I'll start with the only cons I personally found:
1. This is my first TW drama in years. I'm mostly watching K-Drama now. So this may not be a con for others, but I felt like there was a lack of well done cinematography and special effects. I had a big chuckle when I saw the scenes of uninhabited souls staying in that tent like thing.
2. There were some scenes that I found to be a little cringe - ie: the way her body lay on the ground after her accident, Mo Jun Jie's almost possessive nature in some places, the weird AI program thing in the beginning, her asking the doctor about his brother (c'mon irl that'd be totally inappropriate).
That said, I think there are a LOT of pros:
1.. The storyline - if you only need one reason to watch this drama, this should be it. By far one of the best storylines I've seen about time travel. The timeline is consistent, but not obvious, so that you're always aware of what's going on, but also have no idea what's coming next. I had a hard time guessing what was going to happen, and though I guessed a couple things, I was wrong on a lot of them too. I also LOVED the way the drama was edited. Though there were a couple of replayed old memory scenes, most of them were fresh, and/or revealed more information that before. I also enjoyed the separation between the two times.
2. This drama is fast paced - they do not beat around the bush. At 13 eps, I was already excited that it wasn't any longer. They didn't dilly dally when it came to things that needed to be said or done.
3. The versatility of the genres - Although I would 100% call this drama a romance, comedy is a close second, along with a little mystery. I was able to enjoy the multiple facets of the drama - cried my eyes out, swooned, paused to try and figure out what was going to happen next, and just have a good time watching it.
4. The acting - Well done all around, especially for LZQ and HYS.
This was a great re-intro for me to TW drama's, and I'm really glad it was this one. Excellent watch.

do not skip!
Came late to this show but here is my review.Complicated storyline to understand for a simple brain like mine. It's not just a simple time travelling show but a lot of things you wouldn't understand till the end. so please do not skip! You will have many questions while watching but it will only be answered towards the end, if you continue watching. While this is a romance and friendship show between the 3 main leads, there is also an important part where they find the "killer", which brings to a lot of mystery and investigation. I find myself being immersed in each of their character and development that the sadness only kicks in towards the last 2 episodes or so.
The plot is brilliant and even if u are not into romance and sad love story, there are a lot more takeaways from this show. However, this kind of show is also something I wouldn't watch again because it will never feel the same anymore.

Interesting idea but timeline gets confusing, ending makes watching drama pointless
TLDR: More of a 8/10 stars tbh, overhyped by the reviews. First 4-5 episodes are boring, story gets interesting afterwards but timeline gets increasingly confusing as the drama continues on. Even by the end it's not 100% clear and you're left unsatisfied because there's so much jumping bodies. The ending made me kind of annoyed because it made the entire drama redundant, I might as well have not watched it, the ending was useless lol. I think a one-time watch is enough for this if you're into time travel, but personally I won't rewatching.
I absolutely loved discovering Greg Hsu however, super handsome and cute and has such a great smile. I loved his couple scenes with Huang Yu Xuan, so cute. I'll look forward to his new works!

And of course, the romance is heart-aching. If you love stories about fate and soulmates, then don’t miss out on this drama.
Also, two months after watching this, the songs are still stuck in my head. The soundtrack is *so good*.

A Second Chance At Life
Someday or One Day is such a complex series. It feels hard to even write a review or wrap my head around all the feelings left over after watching. The story starts out with a woman who has lost the love of her life to a plane crash. She finds out through an app that there is someone who looks just like her, and thus follows a twisting and turning series of events. There is body-swapping of sorts, time travel, and a time-crossed love story to capture your attention. The central storyline focuses on the aforementioned woman, and a young girl in high-school who hates her life.
SOD is really about loving yourself, the journey, and treasuring what you have. It is a roller-coaster of so many emotions, and a truly beautiful, albeit bittersweet, story. The acting is perfectly on par and the music is quite lovely. I do have to say, I was a little tired of the main song they used as a method for time travel, but that's to be expected when it's played so often. I am left a little unsatisfied with the bittersweet ending, but thoroughly enjoyed the journey along the way. A little word of warning, the time travel plot-lines can leave your brain feeling like a pretzel mid-way through, so just go with the flow and everything will be explained later on.
All in all, I would recommend if you're looking for a time travel plotline done right with romance and an emotional impact. Someday or One Day was wonderfully executed and will definitely leave its mark.

Além disso, suspeito que se não tivesse encontrado mais um drama de viagem no tempo para fazer companhia aos incontáveis dramas desse gênero assisti, suspeito que a listinha desse país ficaria tão esquelética como sempre foi.
A OST MARAVILHOSA

Over complex a simple story
A simple story, travel back in time to correct the future, but due to the constant time flipping it is so annoying and unnecessary. I lost interest in this. I only watch this as KD is doing a remake of this. I hope the KD does not make a mess like this. Also she is not beautiful and for a Taiwanese girl so guys chasing her and dying for her lol makes me laugh.
If you are bored and happy to sit in front of this drama, non stop, and do nothing, you might understand and follow the story, but in 2023 who has time. Maybe ppl was lockdown in 2020 so they had time to sit and watch as they was nothing to watch.
A bad boy gets beaten by up by a nerd doctor, please....

Underrated Gem
I don't know what this drama made to me but I've been rewatching this series yearly since 2020 when I started this series up to now. It's really beautiful but I wanted it to stick a better landing
Before I whine about the few things that bothered me, I would like to say that I am deeply in love with this drama. This is my first non-BL Taiwanese drama, and woah is it a whirlwind of emotions. I haven't felt this many emotions since Goblin, expect this time it didn't feel like it was purposely torturing me, but still brace yourself for FEELINGS. I appreciated that it told the experiences of a variety of ages and that Alice Ke is phenomenal. I haven't been this compelled by a plot in a long time and I acted like a detective throughout the entire series (as I always do) and I have watched a lot of television and am pretty good at predicting relatively what will happen next, but I was unsuccessful at solving the mystery of this plot before it happened from beginning to end. It is so intricate it is difficult to explain but everyone is so perfect, the music is perfect, the minor plot holes did not bother me at all (like where is Huang Yu Xuan's family?) but what I can say is that not a single person will regret watching this drama. I legit will listen to the OST of this drama for maybe forever. So watch it, but if you have already watched it, then please proceed to the next section where I nitpick...So I was obsessed with this show from beginning until about halfway through ep 12. Everyone is perfect. All three leads are excellent and Xie Zhi Qi is a compelling villain, but I feel like it needed to delve into what was going on with the real Chen Run Yu long before it did, because by that point I didn't care enough about her to warrant her just appearing and taking over the final two episodes (also how does she even do that? = plothole). If they had showed her struggling throughout the show then I feel like I wouldn't have been so annoyed by her play-acting and wouldn't have just thought she was being selfish and petty (which granted is actually very realistic considering the emotions she is experiencing). I know when you are suicidal you are not capable of thinking of anyone besides yourself at that moment, but in front of her she knew that dying that way would lead to Mo Jun Jie's imprisonment and suicide and so I kept yelling things like "just don't do it while he's around!" but I know logic doesn't exist in moments like that. Poor Mo Jun Jie, he deserves the world. Also Xie Zhi Qi is a super compelling villain but like ends up not even mattering in the end of the story? Also how creepy is it that he taught himself to be a murderer? It's a whole chicken and the egg situation going on there. Also, last thing there's a song in the OST that sounds like Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka and I both liked it and simultaneously thought, "copyright issues here?".
Finally, assuming Mo Jun Jie successfully wins over Chen Yun Ru, and Li Zi Wei ends up with Huang Yu Xuan, are those besties dating doppelgängers? I would like a spin-off comedy series along those lines. Okay, go watch it!
