ML xu kai is quite prominent frm some dramas still his little expressions are suprise and the biggest attraction in the drama. !
with pretty good chemistry btw the 2
even tho middle is a bit less intriguing and dampen down (can really be better) considering the start was nice.

The story line is quite refreshing. Downside Quality is a bit choppy , dark and story can be hard to understand at parts a bit confusing even though im not novice to C fantasy.
The drama is entertaining overall, funny at many ep and times..
The other actors make it fun too with their different standout characters like h.G , 17th , cute YZ

Overall given a chance again i will still watch becz ML Xu Kai , badass FL.

Bai Lu, Xu Kai y Xiao Yan, lo más destacable del drama. El resto es perder el tiempo.

No creo que la historia sea la panacea, sinceramente. Disfruté la primera mitad del drama, pero poco a poco empiezan a desvariar de una forma increíble, rompiendo lo que podría haber sido una serie de culto en el drama chino.

Primero hablaré del personaje de Zhao Yao. Creo que este personaje es lo que más me ha molestado de la serie. Durante los primeros capítulos nos muestran una faceta de este personaje que no volvemos a ver nunca más en los 50 capítulos restantes, ¿por qué? ¿tanto cuesta mantener un personaje femenino fuerte, que se valga por sí mismo y deje a un lado la maldita costumbre de ser una chica a la que hay que salvar? Insufrible. Esperaba mucho más de ella, y la culpa no la tiene Bai Lu, obviamente, su manera de actuar es excelente, destacable por completo. La culpa de esto la tiene el guion, que es ridículo de principio a fin.

Hay otras incoherencias en las que no voy a ahondar demasiado, porque sería extenderme mucho. Solo haré especial mención a los personajes de Li Chen Lan, Qin Zhi Yan y Jiang Wu:

Li Chen Lan es un personaje pedante. Pero pedante de los de verdad, más pesado que lo más pesado que podáis imaginar. Es un alma en pena desde el principio hasta el final. Creo que no se aprovecha el potencial que tiene el hijo del Rey Demonio, es un títere, mangoneado desde el capítulo uno, y creo que no tiene un desarrollo destacable. Su personaje es una línea recta. Sin embargo, Xu Kai hace un trabajo inmejorable, consigue que veas la tristeza a través de sus ojos y que compartas sus emociones.

Qin Zhi Yan me parece el personaje más complicado de interpretar en esta serie, y Xiao Yan lo ha bordado. Esta actriz ha hecho un trabajo muy difícil, ha interpretado a dos personajes totalmente distintos a la vez, sin que el espectador confunda una personalidad con otra. Se sabía perfectamente cuando actuaba con el alma de Zhao Yao y cuando actuaba con el alma de Qin Zhi Yan. No está valorada para nada, a mi parecer, y sin embargo creo que es un pilar fundamental para que la serie funcione. Xiao Yan tiene todo mi respeto como actriz. La había visto ya en Love is Sweet y no estaba al cien por cien convencida de su habilidad, pero con esta serie me queda clarísimo que tiene un talento desbordante.

Jiang Wu, mi personaje favorito junto a Qin Zhi Yan. No conocía a Dai Xu, y no he profundizado en su trabajo, así que hablaré desde la única perspectiva que tengo, que es Jiang Wu. Cuando vemos a Jiang Wu por primera vez, ya sabemos que va a ser un personaje fuerte. Es un personaje que genera muchos giros de trama, es importantísimo para el desarrollo de la serie y como villano, es tan despiadado que consigues odiarlo. No quiero decir nada más, porque lo que más me ha molestado de este personaje es un spoiler como una casa, pero creo que hay un punto en el que el guionista no sabe qué hacer con él y empieza a desvariar. Hay que verlo para entender lo que digo. Me gustaría ver a Dai Xu en más ocasiones (al margen de que es guapísimo) creo que es un buen actor.

En resumen, empecé esta serie con unas expectativas muy altas y lo único que he visto es un peñazo de 55 capítulos que se cargan a partir del capítulo 30, con personajes potentes a los que han desperdiciado, con una historia que podrían haber hecho muchísimo mejor y con unos efectos especiales que dan vergüenza ajena (el demonio dragón raro, aún tengo pesadillas).

Por último, ¿alguien entendió el final? Porque aún estoy buscando el sentido.

I liked this drama so much even though I hate sad endings but the main character Bai Lu and Xu Kai have INCREDIBLE chemistry because of this im started the one of avid fans of this drama. Their acting is on point and you can literally feel that they are so in love with each other. Xu kai expressions saits the character of Li Chen Lan so well-- a cold, strict sect leader yet kind at heart, but is the most gentle, warming man around Zhao Yao. I will be checking out more of his dramas! Bai Lu was awesome as the big, bad, fierce demoness in the beginning but as the story carried along I did feel like her character weakened too drastically but nonetheless she was very good. I wish more fantasy drama of lovely couple Bai lu and Xukai.

Music: i dont mind the music but its really good for me.

Rewatch Value: im always checking xu kai and BAi Lu for more fantasy drama because of the potentialof good chemistry of the couple haist im inlove because Li Chen Lan characters had

Este drama hubiera sido mejor con unos 20 capítulos menos...

Mi principal motivación para ver esto fue la pareja principal, ya que quería ver el romance que me quedaron debiendo en Arsenal Military Academy, y al menos en el apartado romántico creo que si cumplieron.

Los primeros episodios no fueron los mejores pero conforme va avanzando la historia comienza a volverse mejor, me gusto mucho hasta alrededor del capítulo 30/35, después todo comienza a desmoronarse, creo que el principal problema es que alargaron demasiado la historia, luego de que Zhao Yao y Mo Qing lograran corresponder sus sentimientos no queda claro cual es el rumbo de la trama, hubieron varios episodios en que no ocurrió nada y además se recurría a repetir en exceso varias escenas.

Otra cosa que me decepcionó es que después de los capítulos 30/35 el rol que tenían las mujeres en un inicio fue dejado en segundo plano, Zhao Yao perdió sus poderes, la novia del doctor (que también era líder de una secta femenina) también perdió sus poderes y solo se dedicaba a cocinar, Qin Zhi Yan, quien era parte de los personajes principales y comenzaba a tener un crecimiento en sus poderes es dejada de lado y la participación que tiene en los capítulos posteriores es casi nula.

En cuanto a la recta final, algunos episodios parecieron sufrir ciertos cortes, lo que da la sensación que el espectador se hubiera saltado capítulos. No volvería a ver este drama, creo que estiraron demasiado la historia, aún así al menos el romance si lo disfrute.

I am not really into watching any Dramas may it korean dramas or what because for me? It is so boring and I can easily forget their existence due to many things I have in mine but as of this moment (ECQ) I watched this Drama accidentally and I was Hooked by the Chemistry of the main characters and can't get enough of them despite the issues ? it inspire us, I really love the screenwriter /director for fighting and now I just dont want to watch any drama if they aren't the lead Characters ?? so patiently waiting to their IMPERIAL CUISINE and many upcoming Dramas???

I love the show but I feel it's a little lacking towards the end. For starters, the show could've ended a lot sooner than it did. At least 15 episodes toward the end were unnecessary not mention it slightly ruined the story due to all the unnecessary fillers. The ending wasn't the best it is a relatively happy one for which I'm glad but the episode itself was done poorly. There's a lot of confusion as to what actually happened. The episode feels both rushed and filled with unnecessary storylines. It focused entirely too much on side characters that frankly I couldn't care less about anymore. Like Cangling- I didn't need to know how his life was 5 years later or the sideburns dude. I feel they could have used that time to properly conclude the mains' story. Moreover, I think the show relied too much on flashbacks as a form of storytelling. There were a lot of random and useless flashbacks, there were flashbacks of flashbacks that we've seen at least 5 times during the show-even the final episode was ruined by a flashback in my opinion. LC's leaving seclusion scene was completely stolen by the flashback of him going into seclusion which was something we had already assumed had happened so it was entirely unnecessary. Regardless, I enjoyed the show and the actors. The love between the 2 mains, especially of Lin Chenlan for LZ was incredible not to mention both of them are extremely beautiful. I truly recommend watching the show as although the ending is a bit lackluster, the brilliance and beauty of the story and characters makes up for it.

the storyline written from Female Main Lead POV, i didn't expect much from wuxia drama with FML as POV.

in this drama, the FML can't be described as smart, but she always stomp the ML in earlier eps so the ML looks like idiot. (well, it's played from FML POV afterall). if i may say, the storyline is so direspectful toward human inteligence!

the plot is common in wuxia genre, revenge.
with naive and idiot side character to drag the storyline.

the actor is good with their act, i really enjoy the interaction between character in this drama. the fighting scene also good.

Empece este c-drama en un intento de superar mi bloqueo de series, estaba muy aburrida y tenia ganas de ver algo que me sorprendiera, es ahí cuando recorde este drama en mi lista de pendientes.
Lo comence esperanzada de que me gustase, pero no, simplemente desde un inicio todo partio mal. La quimica de la pareja principal me cautivo sin embargo. Yendo al grano, lo único que mantuvo a terminarlo son sus protagonistas, a mi en lo personal desde que lo tenia en mi lista de dramas por ver me llamo la atención lo bien se veian juntos, puesto que había visto trailers anteriormente. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tenemos un principio MUY confuso, no te explican nada ni en que "mundo" estamos desarrollando la historia. Pasaron 10 años aproximandamente en menos de 3 capitulos donde no se pudieron desarrollar bien los personajes, de ahí mejoro algo la trama, pero solo para volver a decaer por la mitad. Simplemente habian muchas inconsistencias y las acciones de los personajes eran dudosas (tanto que me provocaban cringe cada 2x3). Pudieron haber jugado más con las 4 parejas que conformaban a lo largo de la trama, pero no, simplemente fue en picada. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
• En pocas palabras describiria mi experiencia viendo este drama como una perdida de tiempo, y es una lastima, porque en verdad queria que me gustara. Lamentablemente tenia tanto pontencial y no supieron aprovecharlo. Me faltan palabras para poder decir cuantas fallas encontre, había veces que me preguntaba "¿Quíen escribio esto?", "¿porque la protagonista hizo eso?" y mis dudas no terminan hasta hoy.
Lo peor no fue todo eso, sino la escena reciclada que usaron al final haciendo que los mismo protagonistas fueran sus propios hijos, pero con una voz sobre puesta obviamente. La verdad un final indignante.

It took me a while to finish Zhao Yao and I'm so glad that I'm finally done watching this drama. My opinion is quite unpopular I suppose, but as you can guess by my overall rating, I didn't enjoy it as much as the other people did.

The drama had a promising start. And by ''a promising start'' I don't mean the first two or three episodes, but the first 10-15. I did enjoy watching them quite a lot. The story was confusing, but with the time I got used to it so I had no problem understanding what's going on. Overall, the first half was very good and I wholeheartedly enojyed most of it. However, I can't say the same thing about the second (episode 30ish - 56). They focused on so many things and so many characters and I honestly couldn't care less about most of them. The drama became very skipworthy and I kinda felt bad because of the fact how much I liked it at the beginning. 56 episodes are way too much, sorry. (And I think I watched the cut version?)

The romance was nice and the main couple definitely had chemistry. However, as much as I love my baby Mo Qing, I can't hide the fact that I strongly preferred Jiang Wu. Wu was definitely the more interesting character and I loved his charisma. He became my favourite character when I first saw him and continued being till the end. Maybe the best thing about the second half was that he had more scenes. Lu Zhao Yao was a good female lead but I couldn't get into her character completely.

The acting was actually very good. Of course Dai Xu who played my Jiang Wu has the most outstanding performance. I also loved Xu Kai as Mo Qing a lot! The CGI and the dubbing was kinda bad overall. The cinematography though was very beautiful. And the music was also very nice.

Overall, I feel bad for giving Zhao Yao an average rating but it was very average in my opinion. I can understand the hype though because it definitely has an interesting story so it's normal for people to like it. However, there were too many unnecessary things which disappointed me.
